I had no issue until my Mother passed away and my policy lapsed. Upon attempting to renew, I was met with coldness and "you'll need to pay the policy in full!!" Upon calling Progressive directly I was given a much cheaper rate and payment terms rather than hearing "well, with your payment record, this is all we can offer!" Which is what I heard from the HIG agent. Note to self, deal directly with the company and skip the agents! They are obviously narcissistic and enjoy feeding their own egos. Also, moved my homeowner's to State Farm with a cheaper rate as well! Way to treat your past customers well! Consider looking elsewhere for insurance needs as this company just doesn't actually care about keeping or earning your business!

The girls in the office are actually quite friendly but after the horrible experience I received from Billy Henrich I do not wish to ever do business with them. I tried canceling my policy THREE times both on the phone and through email not once did they state to call the carrier or send in documents or anything! He asked what carrier I was moving to and he said "good luck". Then they charged my account over $500 when I called him about it he didn't take my call instead emailed me that I should of sent in documents (again never told me about this) I finally got fed up and called carrier directly and they processed the cancellation with no hesitation. He proceeded to email me lies about the calls we had, saying I got "heated" a couple weeks ago when I had actually just called to ask what the renewal price would be and to tell them I didn't wish to move forward. never have I been disrespectful to them in any way. So many LIES! I am so disappointed in this whole ordeal, specially cause it was directly with the owner, he's so unprofessional needs to get off his high horse.

Mostly because as a Vietnamese I always try to find chances to support our people's businesses whenever I came. I have to say it was the best choice I made. The entire office was so nice and professional, that include Linda and her brother, Peter, and Edith. For all the time I was with them, I always had the best quotes and best care. It feels like a family rather than an insurance company where we have to be vigilant and often get ripped off. I also want to compliment State Farm for the same reason. They reached out to me when I had a small fender bender and didn't pay attention to the accident besides my safety. They took care of everything so professionally and fast that I couldn't believe it. I moved around a little bit in town, and whenever I reported the new addresses, they would cut me a check for deduction if that place is a bit cheaper. That's so moving! Now I have permanently relocated to Pearland, I had to leave Linda Nguyen and State Farm for a local agency and a different company with regrets. Simply because State Farm doesn't really cover home insurance in Pearland and I wanted to bundle everything under one company for good reasons. And even when the new company neglected to send the cancellation to them, Edith at Linda Nguyen graciously helped me get the full refund with no question asked. Ok, I got insurance with this company in May 2015, great rates the first month, then my rates…read moreskyrocketed in the month of June, I only added a little 4cylinder and my son to my policy. I called and left 3-4 messages for them to call me and I left my phone number as well. I called again everyday for about 4 days no one answered until the 4th day. I asked them why haven't they returned my phone calls. I was told the agency changed hands, sold to someone else. I did not know insurance companies, reputable ones could just do that and not inform their customer and go up $400+ on their rates. I will report to the Texas Insurance office, I'm not a stranger there and not afraid to retire these shabby agencies. Are there any insurance companies that are not damn crooks.
