Beach park area located in the fort walton city of Florida. Me any my family were on our summer vacation to the Destin and fort Walton area and checked this area at night after eating at nearby rockin taco. It was night time when we came but it was very peaceful and clean beach. We splashed around the shore and played in the sand and the kids had a great time. Overall a really cool place to relax and have fun

Beasley Park is Okaloosa Island famous beach park. It has a public car parking lot with free parking. The facility includes restrooms, shower after the beach, pavilion, beach access, and life guard. Why this park is one of the best in Florida. Because the sand is soft white sand. I am not talking about yellow sand that normally found at Florida beach. The sand is soft and white. Event at hot day, the sand doesn't feel it get heat up. Since it is the public facility, many tourists and local here. The water is clear and can be see through bottom. The white sand also help the visual condition. Sometimes the ice cream truck can be found at the parking lot because this is family beach with a lot of kid. Further East is Eglin beach which is private military beach which don't have access. This is the only one with parking lot for public.

If you're coming here from the Atlanta area, you will be pleased to know there isn't a toll. Yaaaaas!!! My son and I had our fingers crossed when we entered the parking lot and pleasantly discovered that there was plenty of parking and there isn't a fee to park. Win Win again ! The beach has that nice white sugar looking color and I also liked how there wasn't a ton of sea moss or painful shells in the water. There's also a lot of small fish in the water. They are fast so good luck catching them with your hands. Since this beach is not too far from the base, you will see military planes flying above. There's a huge pelican that flies above you head and he'll occasionally take dips in the water. Enjoy!

White soft sand and clear waters made my boys happy.

Nice beach with easy access from parking lot to beach. We went on a Friday in June and it had people but not too many. Wooden picnic table area with some outdoor showers helped get the sand off and gave us some shade to have a snack. Restrooms needed to be serviced but they weren't terrible.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning and we wanted to get some last minute beach time before we headed back to Georgia. This park was on our way before we drove through Destin and left the island completely. Parking was aplenty. We made our way up the wooden steps. The beach is quiet and only had a few other people out for their morning jogs or strolls, like us. I'm not sure how busy or heavy the traffic gets during the day, but it's a quiet place to spend some time if you're looking for some quick and easy sun, waves and sand.

Love this beach. It is not too crowded, especially if you walk to the right away from the boardwalk. Water was clear. Lots of families. Everyone respected our space. Free parking. Bathrooms are not the cleanest but usable. Outside showers to rinse sand off.

Beautiful beach, nice place for relaxing few hours or a day. There were at least 4 weddings going on during the few hours we were there, so obviously I'm not the only one thinking it's a lovely place. Bring the kids and some toys and have a beautiful day!

A great beach to spend the day. The facility has very clean restrooms. It has a snack bar. There are beach umbrellas and chairs available to rent. It's a very clean beach. The sand is clean and the water is clear. It faces the Gulf side. It may get pretty busy during the summer weekends. There was plenty of parking space and best of all it is FREE parking and FREE beach access. I'm not sure about lifeguards.

This beach access is good because there are recreational opportunities and everything you need for a beach day. There is a pavilion for cook outs and showers and changing rooms and restrooms. There is also a volleyball court and a playground. At The John Beasley Beach Park everyone can enjoy the sunshine and the pristine beach while swimming, sunbathing or adventuring out on the waters.

This place was cool. Not that much to see. The bigger board walk with all the amazing fishing is down the road.

I like this beach. It's right past the ookaloosa island area where that touristy trap is. It's almost easy to drive past it because its right where most cars speed up on the crazy long road towards Destin. Clean bathrooms, beautiful water, and fairly clean sands. Great photo spot too and its still close to the restaurants, hotels, and touristy stuff on that side of the island. Good sized parking lot, but no buses or RVs because its pretty narrow and not to much room for a large RV to move around in.

White sand, small crowd, rental chairs & umbrellas. Beautiful!

Beautiful beach, not too crowded with good facilities! Walked a little further down and had our own private beach all day!

Even better if entrance and parking (2 hours) are free. Fort Walton Landing Park in the "FWB Downtown Marketplace" zone (aka "East Miracle Strip") fits all of those checkboxes. There are grassy knolls, tall trees, cheeky squirrels, many shaded seating areas, and a large playscape structure, plus bay views and a peek of homes and hotels on Okaloosa Island across the water. There is NOT a beach here (the white sandy beaches are on the island; this is the bay/channel side - other reviewers posting gulf beach pics are confused). The two piers / docks and associated boardwalk are unfortunately still out of commission after storms in 2020, but will hopefully be rebuilt soon. Note that dogs must be on leash at all times. The shops across the street include a mixture of apparel, gifts, art, and sports, so you're sure to find a souvenir or three to take home while you explore the area on foot. We especially liked Buccaneer Shop (local flavor), Run with It! (running and pickleball gear), and Coral Reef Shop (tacky t-shirts with Destin & FWB logos). The FWB Farmers Market is held here 8a - 1p on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, year-round. Holiday concerts and fireworks are often held here, as well. Check out social media and the individual vendor websites for current information on other park events.
