I…read morewas referred to Megan Law Firm by one of their clients, a school board member, who confidently assured me that this firm genuinely cares about its clients and that most school districts fear them. The public school system failed my daughter, as we know they do when it comes to special education. My daughter struggled in her previous high school due to a lack of academic support and IEP services not being implemented. To top it off, her ADA rights were violated by not having a functioning elevator for individuals with disabilities under Title II. However, an excellent outcome was possible due to a great legal team and the extra help from our attorney, Mr. McDaniel, who successfully got my daughter into private school with transportation included, funded by her school district due to her cognitive and physical challenges. Therefore, Megan Nuñez Special Education Law Firm is on of the best in San Diego due to its dedication and excellent team that prioritizes clients--aiming for the best possible results. Due to their high demand and busy caseloads, communication can be difficult and there is a waitlist, but the outcome justifies the wait; be patient, buckle up, and trust the process.

I came to the Law Offie of Meagan Nuñez in the middle of everything feeling like an uphill battle. Byanca Hutchins was the attorney who represented my son on my behalf. She is absolutely incredible. At a time where it felt like I was batteling a broken school system, she came in to listen. She managed my expectations, never judged me or my son, and truly showed up for us. Byanca is amazing! She knows what she is doing and knows how to navigate the school system that is built to protect the instituition over children. Byanca never made me feel rushed, or made me feel like I was asking too many questions. She made me feel seen, and understood all that I had done to advocate alone. You would be lucky to have Byanca going to bat for your kiddo. Not only is she an incredible attorney, she is diligent and relatable. She explained every step of the process and guided me on what I needed to know. Listen to her guidance, she is here to protect your kiddo (and you) and it shows in her passion and dedication! Her services are invaluable and you cannot put a price tag on the peace of mind she brings.

I then asked for the Paralegal and got "Myra" and she Failed to have the Attorney call me back and here is it Monday (Usually attorney's will call you back the same day and I was reminded I would get a FREE Consultation) I've worked as a Private Investigator and dealt with Attorneys before and arrested a few as well. When you have what I call a "Slam Dunk" case and the attorney FAILS to call back, it makes you wonder who is incompetent on the Staff or the Attorney themselves. I filled out the Online form and it will NOT function due to it's programming. I am 72 and qualified for SSA/SSDI etc.,. and this Retaliation is worse than most people can comprehend. If I get called, I might reconsider, but not now.

I was into my third year and 2 denials for the first filing by myself. I refiled again but with Jorgensen Law. They looked over my case the first visit to see if they can help. I was denied again 2 times even with the help of Jorgensen Law so we requested a hearing. In 09/2018 finally the hearing with the Judge and approval. Hint, if they want you to do a video chat with a Judge from another state, go that route. Either way you see the Judge by video or person, be prepared for questions for your case. A few days before you will see your Attorney and go over what will happen at the Social Security office in downtown San Diego. Maybe elsewhere too. Jorgensen Law was there to help for the whole process even after approval. After I got approved... it took some time to get the back pay to my bank account. Social Security had one 0 missing from the beginning set of zeros for the account. Finally after many calls from Jorgensen Law and myself it got corrected. This is 6 months after approval and they had been paid already. There is a set amount of $$ Social Security takes from your back pay to ensure the Attorney gets paid first. Law firms and Attorneys had a problem of of not getting paid for their work so SS stepped in and set the amount that a Law Firm or an Attorney can charge. They don't get paid if it gets denied.

My case took longer and there wasn't much conversation back and forth, but when I had a question, someone always seemed to be able to answer it for me. I have no regrets of hiring Jorgensen Law for myself nor my husband and believe it was well worth the money, because being disabled and not being able to work is not easy. What they took for the back pay is minor and well deserved and I'm just thankful and grateful that we both have incomes now. Thank You, Jorgensen Law!!!

Before finding them, we contacted five other attorneys specializing in insurance and long-term care claims. Every one of those firms told us we likely did not have a case or showed little interest in looking deeper. Kantor & Kantor was the only firm that immediately recognized that there was a legitimate issue with the handling of my mom's claim. From our very first conversation, it was clear they had deep expertise in long-term care insurance and understood exactly how these policies work and how insurers like Unum evaluate claims. They took the time to carefully review the policy, the claim history, and the medical records, and they explained the process to us in a way that was clear and reassuring. Throughout the entire case they were responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly thorough. Because of their knowledge and persistence, we were able to successfully recover benefits under my mom's long-term care policy. We are very grateful for their help and for the fact that they were willing to take a closer look when other attorneys dismissed the situation. If you are dealing with a denied or delayed long-term care insurance claim, I strongly recommend speak with Kantor & Kantor. Their experience in this area truly sets them apart.
