We hired John Cooper Paving to pave our gravel driveway and expand it so it can fit two cars. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Denise came by initially to check out our property and provide a quote, we were impressed with her knowledge and the proposed design, so we locked it in a few weeks later. The price also seemed fair compared to other estimates we received. Fast-forward to install day: The crew arrived in the morning and the work only took a few hours, but it was pretty impressive to watch and everyone was so nice and professional. By mid-afternoon, we had a finished driveway that looks and functions just how we wanted it to. We even ran into a very minor issue where the driveway meets our fence a few days later, and the crew came back promptly to fix it for no extra charge. Not sure how they get any good reviews at first they seem like the best company to have install your driveway until they actually do and there's a problem and trust me there will be Denise does not stand behind her company's work When cracks kept appearing in my brand new driveway every time would be a different excuse or reason instead of apologizing and saying she will fix them she blamed them on a leaking underground drainage pipe for my gutters and the crack at the end of the driveway was the seam where the driveway meets road nothing she can do lol what a joke thank you for taking my $3300 and leaving me with a driveway full of cracks and excuses read more

I recently had my long and wide driveway removed and installed a new one. When they started the demolition ,they found that I had 3 layers of driveway on top of each other! It took a little longer to remove but didn't cost me a dime more!! New driveway looks excellent and have already had some neighbors and their relatives ask me "who did it". They did a new driveway for our house in Cohasset last year and it was a pleasant surprise that while we were interviewing contractors , Denise Cooper came down to give an estimate and was prepared with references , tips and actually had everything that we needed ready in a folder that we could study while making the decision . How many times do you see that with a contractor ? The work was done professionally on time and looks great . In fact , a UPS driver pulled his truck into our new driveway before it had settled properly and damaged it in one spot and I called Cooper Paving with the bad news expecting to be told that it would cost them to repair but instead , they were back within a few days and fixed it for free . I would highly recommended them for any driveway work and all our neighbors compliment us on what a great driveway we have . I had my driveways installed on 4/15/20. John cooper paving team was great. The said they would be there at 7:00 am to do the driveways and they where there on the dot. I was amazed how fast there did the driveways. One was a new installed driveway and the other driveway they had to remove the old one first. They had both driveways ready to be paved by 9:00 am. And by 1:00 PM they where all done with both driveways. This install was rescheduled because of weather from the previous week but they communicated and kept up to date if anything came up. A Stress free no hassle experience from the beginning to end. I called 7 companies. 2 did not even return the call and 2 never showed up. I spoke with Jackie to set up the estimate and she could not have been more helpful and kind. Denise came out to do the estimate pretty quickly after our initial call. With our estimate was a folder with all the information about the company and the process. Their price was right in the range of the others but We were drawn to John Cooper paving because of their stellar reputation as well as being a local family business. They were able to fit us in very quickly. The day of the work I spoke with (his name escapes me-he has been with the company on and off for 25 years) and he went over everything that was going to be done, discussed a few areas we were concerned about and completely put me at ease. I had to go to work but felt it was in good hands. It took about 3 1/2 hours and it looks amazing. I would highly recommend working with John Cooper for your driveway needs. We created a driveway "plan" in early 2015, that was 3 phases to be done over time, to remove the old cement driveway, and install a new one, with a branch off of it, going to a large pad in the back. Terrible! They installed our driveway 2 years ago. They did not pitch the driveway properly for drainage. They came back and heated it (many times) & made a mess of it. Now I get large puddles at the base...and it is crumbling around the garage doors. I am told it takes years to "cure"... seriously?? Neighbors have asked me for a referral and I would never recommend John Cooper Paving. They do NOT stand behind their work. Apparently their inability to pave and pitch our driveway properly is our fault.....I now have a 2 year old driveway that looks to be 20 years old and I have to sweep the water, from the large puddles at the base, into the drain every time it rains. read more
