I was pulled over in a speed trap with 8 other cars for speeding right after the freeway ended (going 59 mph in a 35) to which I was rewarded a ticket with total fine of $300. I called Gioffredi & Associates prior to court date on ticket, filled out a couple forms that were emailed to me and emailed them back, paid $50 and they emailed me back with a court date and instructions. Arrived at 830am court and waited in the court room seating about 60 minutes for my lawyer to work their magic. When the associate from the firm approached me they provided me with clear instructions and were able to quickly reduce my fine and send me along my way. I was back at work downtown by 10am. I used John for a DWI in 2021-2022 due to covid it lasted a year before I had to go to court. He was very helpful from the start never once did he judge me for my mistakes simply told me the consequences and the steps it would take. He walked me through all the options a month before my court date gave me a couple days to decide and then issued my court date. On the day of my court date, he gave me two options and told me which one would work best for me. Then when I had to go up in front of the Judge, I only got 90-day driver license suspension. I did not have to go to jail or have a breathalyzer in my vehicle. If I would ever get in trouble again (which I won't), I would choose him over and over again. Like many others, I was referred to John Gioffredi through a friend and also read numerous positive reviews online. Other local lawyers were just not professional and responsive enough so I expected more. With that being said, John Gioffredi answered my e-mails promptly with a lot of explanations and tips on how to get this thing started. A week or so after exchanging emails, I went to his place to get this motion for removal started. His assistants informed me of other charges that previous lawyers failed to tell me when they settled my case (which is very much appreciated). A week went by, then two.....and now it has been a little more than a month and I still have no received news from John Gioffredi concerning my case. I know it takes time to get the documents to the court and whatnot (even my probation officer said it'll take one or two weeks) so I gave him time and only emailed or call once a week or two to ask what is the status. I always receive a: "We are working on it and haven't received news yet." Little did I know that at the same time I went to talk to John Geoffredi, my probation officer had sent in a motion to remove the probation and they received a response back in just 2 weeks. I didn't get the information until I reported to the probation officer this month (November 8th 2012) since I was supposed to meet him once a month. What frustrated me is that the probation officer said there is no record of any lawyer filing a motion to remove the probation at all and even the probation officer himself said he received news from the court on 10/26 that I could not suspend the probation earlier than March 1st, 2013. It is now November 18th, 2012, a good month or so after I initially paid for the service and I still have no idea what my status is. I would recommend John M. A few years back, my chiropractor referred me to John Gioffredi's firm for a traffic ticket I had just received. He was a patient of hers and had handled a ticket for her recently. I wound up using him for the next ticket I received as well. His assistant, Tresa, who I dealt with on the cases was just wonderful. I would email requesting a status update on my ticket and she would email right back with any and all details she could possibly provide. Whenever I'd initially email over the tickets, she would promptly respond and send the applicable paperwork for me to fill out. Unfortunately for Gioffredi & Associates, there is a new girl in town and she is GOD AWFUL. Her name is Anita. There is also another woman there who seems equally as lazy and negligent with clients, Trish, who has been copied on almost all of my correspondence to Anita. I sent my latest ticket via email on Friday 10/03 and requested all the necessary paperwork be sent to me via email as well. I didn't hear back from Anita until I sent a follow up email on the following Tuesday. The cost to represent me was almost double the cost of my previous tickets so I questioned it. She responded that it was because of the accident that the ticket was associated with, that it had to be handled differently. I decided to eat the extra cost and again asked for the paperwork (which also includes a credit card form so I can be charged by the law firm). She finally told me they now accept payment over the phone, I wound up just emailing my credit card info and that was literally the last I heard from her (10/15). Since then, I have sent MULTIPLE requests for paperwork and any type of update on my ticket, like that they sent notice of representation to the court before my "appear by" date and reassurance that I don't have a warrant out for my arrest. I have sent FIVE emails now, pretty much begging for information and have not received any sort of response from either Trish or Anita. Gioffredi & Associates will never receive another dime of my money and hopefully, I have stopped you from giving them yours as well. This is beyond pitiful customer service. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a same day response from a law firm I AM PAYING to handle my legal affairs. I would still be in the dark as to whether or not they are even handling this case if it were not for the assistant at another attorney's office, who was kind enough to look up the record to see whether or not I had representation. After of the most traumatic nights of my life, I was left with a horrible DWI situation. I was driving from Shops of Legacy in Plano to Knox/Henderson in Dallas. I wasn't familiar with the area so I was following the map on my cell phone. After almost missing the Knox/Henderson exit, I tried to cut my car across but ended up not fully making the exit. I wrecked my car and called the cops, but quickly realized the cop was more focused on the two mambo taxi's I had at dinner. I was arrested after not doing that great on the field sobriety test and later blew a .19 on the breath test. Going into my trial, I tried to prepare myself for the repercussions a DWI conviction would have on my nursing career and my future as a whole. This was a difficult case, but thankfully I had great defense attorneys on my side. John assisted my attorney Scott Palmer for my trial. I had full trust in Scott, and he assured me that John was the best of the best! Throughout the trial, I was blown away by John's poise, extensive knowledge, and tenacious fire. Between Scott and John, they were able to point out many faults on the arresting officer, develop doubt about the liability of the breathalyzer, and emphasize all the discrepancies in the case as a whole. My case ended with a 100% unanimous jury and a "not-guilty" verdict. I cannot put into words how much respect and gratitude I have for Scott and John. I would not advise using this lawfirm. I hired giofredie to take care of a ticket that went into warrant. As I never heard from them I would call in periodically asking about my case. Each time I was told they don't have anything yet so couple more weeks went by and I receive delinquent notices in the mail from the police department telling me I owe them $700, the amount that I owed before I hired mr. Fredie. I called the law office immediatley, and was told they had sent me an email about the information. I was dealing with a DWI 2nd out of Collin County. I was freaking out over even the thought of spending a day confined in Jail. Knowing that this was my DWI 2nd, and a big deal... I decided to handle this with a different approach than my first. If I would have known about John Gioffredi almost 10 years ago I am confident I would have never been looking at a DWI 2nd, because if I had utilized John's services I would have never been convicted of my 1st to start with. When interviewing attorney's I was considering... I would say to each and every one... I know you are very qualified and I feel confident in your abilities, but other than obviously yourself... who would you recommend? Almost ever single one recommended John Gioffredi. After meeting with John, I felt much more at ease... but at first consulation, I told John I was still going to continue & shop around. John was so kind to say, that I was more than welcome to come back even a 2nd or 3rd time to discuss my case until I felt comfortable about my decision. I did not feel rushed, he spent well over 2 hours with me my first visit and many more on multiple trips continuing discussions even before I retained him! I meet with another handful of attorney's that all were about the money, and not giving you a second of there time. You can tell 8 out of 10 just want your money and run... from a short shallow consultation to pleading your case as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next sucker. You get what you pay for and that goes for almost anything in life. Some people like a Cadillac but I'm sorry, I'll take the Rolls Royce. Best part about this... John worked out a payment plan that allowed me to finance the Rolls and forget about that Cadillac. I am not easy to deal with, I have extreme anxiety and always think the worst. I drove John up the wall with phone call after phone call and showing up at office. John stayed cool, calm and collective even though I drove the man crazy. He made me feel at ease, and just the way he carries himself in the court room... you are left feeling 100% confident. My Case: I retained John Gioffredi. I was pulled over for a DWI 2nd due to a 911 caller and being followed until intercepted by Police. I was asked what city I was in, I said a city about 20 miles off. I looked ok on video until I agreed to doing Field Sobriety Test. My first attorney 10 years ago never told me I could refuse, I was just aware that I could refuse Breath Specimen only. I refused Breath but did not do well on Field Sobriety Test. With the test on Video, 911 caller that stopped and made statement, and not knowing what city I was in... my case was not great. John set it for trail anyways and filed for motion to suppress. At the last minute prosecutor offered me 12 months probation, 5 days in Jail and usual classes. I did not like 5 days jail... John countered with 9 months probation, 3 days in jail the minimum allowed and 30 hours community service. Prosecution excepted counter and I received 9 months probation, 3 days in jail that turned into being only 4 hours... Yes! 30 hours community service, the classes and No Fine. 9 months probation and basically 4 hours in jail... with the bad facts of my case? This was a huge win for me and I thank John Gioffredi. This is less than half the punishment I received for my 1st DWI!!! 1/2 way through my probation, Probation tried to put me in Supportive Outpatient Treatment for 4.5 months because of a bogus evaluation. John got a 2nd evaluation, called for expert testimony and had a hearing to stop this non-sense. Hearing lasted about 10 minutes, and the condition probation tried to add was over ruled by Judge. As I was waiting in front of court house on John to finish with Clerk, Prosecutor walked by from hearing and said, "Your Attorney's A Rockstar". Prosecutor said it best... John Gioffredi is A ROCKSTAR !!! read more

I used them for a traffic ticket - my atty Randy Stevens couldn't get my ticket dismissed, but said I would get 3 mo deferred adjudication. Not only did I not get that... I got double that 6months! Plus $220 fine!!! The absolute worst part though is I have called them for a full month to find out why I did not receive what he promised- they have NEVER called me back. I had a first time DWI case greater than 0.15. Unfortunately, I was placed in the court with the worst judge I could have possibly gotten. John Gioffredi took my case, even though most lawyers would not take in clients with that particular judge. She wasted our time on numerous occasions and John went above and beyond for me even missing important meetings to wait with me in her courtroom until she decided to return, or driving up to the courthouse during his busy days to get paperwork that she would forget to give to us or didn't know even existed. Don't recommend. . Stick w law because your traffic law is worst I've ever hired.. I'll contact attorney and let them know what you hot me for how fast I was going. They lost paper work a bunch. Also have to pay 100 more than I was charged for fine for last offense in same spot at a lower speed.. and for a 400 dollar fine I you got me defensive driving. . I've never gotten defensive driving when I hire an attorney. . You just are terrible at that side of the law.
