Our general contractor advice for us to hire a structural engineer that had no connections to a repair business, and that would focus on the problem instead of trying to sell you a "solution". Sarah Gamez from Geotechnical Consultants was highly recommended by our realtor and we decided to go with an expert like her. She was very professional and on time. Her report was very detailed, and she found additional things that our inspector and general contractor didn't noticed. She also made recommendations for some of the cracks and separations in the foundation. Overall she was very thorough and I am also glad we contacted someone that would give us an unbiased assessment.

After he was removed, he threatened to sue me on the theory that we could not fonish the job with the original contracvtors. after researvhing the issue and talking with a construction litigator I confiemd that was a lie. When we reveiwed the work he performed we found he used other individuals to do the workt and that a big part of the electrical was not to code. that neede to be redone. After that he still went to the city and slander us. The first review is true. He waits until he gets close to completing the project and then he tries to extort money from you. He was incredibly creative, persistent, and truly cared about solving the problem the right way. Throughout the entire process, he was responsive and upfront about pricing. I especially appreciated that he even offered to provide any information I wanted for my own security and peace of mind before coming into my home.
