When Dr. Esmaili had concerns about his ability to take care of a certain issue, he did not put her at risk but rather recommended us to use a specialist, giving us a full explanation of his concerns, and a few specialist recommendations, all of who had excellent ratings. I am very grateful for this. The staff handles the insurance issues very well and we have never had any stress along those lines. The costs have always been up front and all our options have been presented, with the different results of each option being explained. I am also grateful for the appointment reminder calls we receive. It has saved us more then a few times as we live our somewhat hectic family schedule. We are always greeted with a smile. Dr. Esmaili, the hygienists, and staff have always been very pleasant, kind, and caring, even to the point of remembering my mom prefers to have a pillow. It's all ready and waiting for her. After she placed the tourniquet, though loopy from nitrous oxide, I was anticipating the needle used to administer the anesthetic. She did not let me know what she was doing, so I asked if she was going to poke me, and she didn't explicitly state what she would be doing and it scared me. Overall the experience was okay, being that I was under general anesthesia, however I'm terrified for future procedures at this practice, if need be :(

I have been going to the office for decades and the service is lackluster for the amount you pay…read more The follow up on pre-authorized procedures that have been declined is none existent until you have had the procedure and are paying (which is too late to decide if paying out of pocket is what you want to do). No medical office should assume the patient has received the notification of declined serve. If they claim to dispute the procedure with the insurance company they never follow up. I have also been laid off twice over my career and put on medical assistance insurance for a short time - both times I was told they do not accept medical assistance insurance. I have moved and will no longer be driving 30 min to go to this clinic and will be finding a new dental provider outside of the Park Dental providers. They need to do better!

Everyone there made it as pleasant as possible, never passed judgement, or made me feel bad for not coming sooner. They supported me and said, "they were so happy I made it there". I was rushed through my x-rays as if I was not paying for the service. After my x-rays and exam, the dental hygienist rushed through my gum measurements making sure to be forceful enough to make my gums bleed. In the end, I was not allowed to get a cleaning. Instead I was told that I needed invisalign (I am blessed with some of the straightest teeth possible), a replacement for a tooth far back in my mouth and root planing and scaling. I told them I only wanted root planing and scaling and they told me it would be $3,000+ for the service and maintenance. They then tried to pressure me to schedule the service. When asked why I couldn't just get a cleaning, they stated "it would be unethical" to clean my teeth without completing the root planing and scaling prior. I asked for a print out of the services they said I needed and promptly left. I had insurance so I was wondering why it only covered $50. Three months later, I started a new job and therefore started a new dental policy. This time I went to Park Dental in Coon Rapids and received a much better service overall. Not only was the facility immaculately clean, but after thorough, unrushed x-ray and exams, they cleaned my teeth without hesitation. No other service was recommended but regular cleanings. ASPEN IS A SCAM! I should have ran when I heard other customers complaining about their bill in the lobby before my appointment. BUYER BEWARE, and get a second opinion on anything they recommend.
