Everything seemed really great BEFORE I had tenants, there was lots of open communication, she explained everything. I felt like we were partners. But then as soon as I had people interested in the house, I had NO INFORMATION given to me about any of the financials. I was not privy to their lease agreement, the amount of the deposit, anything. I was also not given any information about when payments would be disbursed until I reached out and asked. This didn't feel like transparency. I was finally given my first payment 12 days after tenants moved into my house. I received a very small fraction of what they paid on move in. This was expected! Expensive, but expected. What was not expected was the re-key fee that Best Life charged me. I left complete sets of keys, there was no need to charge me the rekey. This shouldn't have been a big deal, but I received nothing but defensive communication in response. No apology. She offered to remove the fee but didn't apologize, when I explained why I was frustrated she FIRED ME. That was it. I would have loved for this to be a great experience with no hidden fees--this business advertises pricing transparency--but instead, on my very first disbursement there was a hidden fee. Disappointing to say the least. ALL I NEEDED WAS AN APOLOGY, INSTEAD SHE FIRED ME. I have no idea what will happen to my poor tenants.

Shawni was very patient throughout the process, understood our needs, gently steered us away from neighborhoods that didn't fit our criteria, and served as our advocate when dealing with prickly property management companies. It's worth the money to focus on packing up, rather than searching endlessly on Zillow. We highly recommend Shawni and wouldn't hesitate to hire her again, even for a local move!

Shopping for, closing on, and moving into a home from a distance with children and pets really calls for the hand holding of a fully invested advocate. Bill, in each phase of our purchase, was our advocate (not merely a transactions agent looking to close the deal only to be never heard from again) in ways that I've learned from past experiences to not expect from real estate agents. Yet, he has reset the bar for me on just how a transaction should be managed. The bottom line, Bill through our 4 month search/buying process together proved himself to be a trust-worthy, caring and full-service oriented partner. He is far and away the best agent that I've worked with. I just think that Bill's standard for services rendered is so high and that he is so committed to it that it cannot help but show and be felt in ways that comes across as being sincere and second nature. Bill was such a pro's pro at helping us work through rejected offers, inspection report blemishes, title company/lender hurdles, and scheduling coordination conflicts. The curve balls were varied and unscripted but in each case I noticed in real-time how Bill proactively assumed the role of project manager, point of contact, facilitator, problem solver and communicator amongst the many parties involved.
