It is bittersweet that my final child will be graduating in just a couple years! I have never been disappointed with the excellent education that my children have earned, that has been provided to them. There were a few staff members that we weren't/aren't pleased with, but, it taught my kids to work through adversity and to fight for their rights as young adults. If you are engaged in your child's life, they will learn more, get in far less trouble and excel in the opportunities that a public school education offers.

Program, since (by the grace of God) there was a spot open and our own school always has a wait list. The staff here are wonderful and they have excellent security/communication measures in place for our children. The weekly rate is so reasonable at $64 per week with childcare from 6:00a to 6:00pm which includes field trips! They have a set schedule and curriculum. We chose to enroll her because we have come to realize that structure is needed since school is out. With entering her in July, we are so grateful for this program and made such a wonderful decision for our sanity. (I now get why parents are counting the days till school starts as this summer has been tough). Can you feel me parents? Highly recommend this before/after school and summer program!!!

Bathrooms are disgusting and not a fit for children. Teachers did not take situations of bullying…read moreand harassment seriously, causing many to be neglected. One of the coaches repeatedly yelled at the children for no apparent reason. Overall a bad experience for growing minds.

My child attended New River Elementary School for kindergarten in 2024-2025. I do not recommend…read morethis school due to multiple serious concerns: Safety Incident: In September 2024, two men were caught shooting in the woods right next to the school. Heavy police presence followed. It was very frightening. PE Injury: During a game called "Zookeeper," my son was knocked down and injured by a pool noodle. The PE teacher, Hannah Lane, and principal, Colleen Wilkinson, were unresponsive when I reported it. Denied Lunch: My son was denied a free lunch when he forgot his lunchbox. Another child was also denied. Principal Colleen Wilkinson took no action after I reported it. Limited Trust: Because of these incidents, I never allowed my child to participate in field trips and kept my involvement minimal. Transfer: I ultimately transferred my child to a different school for first grade. Overall, this school does not provide a safe or supportive environment for children.
