As his time in her class comes to an end before moving up to VPK, I can honestly say we are so grateful for the love, patience, and dedication she pours into every child each day. She is incredibly diligent and attentive with all the children, especially with helping them learn and grow at their own pace. Our son has learned so much in her class -- academically, socially, and emotionally -- and he truly loves going to school because of the calm, happy, and welcoming environment she creates. One of the things we appreciate most is how creative and engaging she is with the children. The fun projects, crafts, and activities she plans are always thoughtful and exciting, and we love seeing the special things our son proudly brings home. Teaching this age group is not easy, yet she handles it with such grace and patience that she makes it look effortless. Mrs. Marielsy also speaks both Spanish and English, which adds such a wonderful dynamic to the classroom. Even while continuing to strengthen her English fluency, her kindness, warmth, and ability to connect with the children shines through so naturally, and the leadership team is always supportive whenever needed. We are beyond thankful for the positive impact she has had on our son and our family. Any child would be lucky to have her as a teacher!

I hated it. I went when I was four, so naturally I'd throw a few tantrums, and they just did not…read morecare about anything. Some kid hit me for crying, and instead of punishing him, they brushed it off and told me I was fine. There was hair and bugs in your food, and new teachers every week because they kept getting fired. I got locked in the bathroom in the dark and the teachers made no move to discipline the boys who did it. My sister was thrown on the concrete ground and the teachers made no move to punish the boys who did it. My dad had to get involved just for the boy to leave us alone. My other sister got locked outside for 30 minutes because they "didn't realize she was outside" despite the fact she was crying and banging on the door. There was bugs and literal MICE in the bathrooms. You could smell they didn't clean the bathrooms. It smelled terrible. When you got hurt, they did nothing. You could break all your fingers and all your toes and they would just put you in "The boo boo room" which is just a room with a bed and a tv. There was no nurse and no people with any medical knowledge at all. Please don't send your kids here, for the love of god.

Just a warning about Garden Montessori. We had both our children at Garden Montessori last year. We were called to a meeting, where the teacher started changing the story that our child was harming others. When we stated that the child in question had a history of bullying others and that we trusted our child in telling us what happened to him, the owner began screaming loudly at my husband. It was both shocking and appalling. Later that evening, we received an email that we were released from the school immediately. Two working parents concerned for the safety of their child to get yelled at and dropped with no other placement shows the character of the leadership. A year later and my son can still tell the story of the bullying events/location and no detailsils have changed, including that he went to his teachers for help and they did nothing while the little boy was chasing him and hitting him. Beware, as they care for more about their image than child safety.
