Jasmine...Tara very energetic behind the bar!…read more The selection is great and a flight will help you chose your favorite! I made my selection which was the blue hen. ( Did not know it was the State bird) lol Wife had a much harder choice. We didn't realize it was both a brewery AND a distillery...such a hardship.. Well the Wife made her choice to stay with the draft beer and chose a pumpkin flavored ale! We were both pleased with our final selections and decided we needed to eat! The selections are pretty good too. I ended up choosing a personal meat pizza, and she chose the Tacos...both were delicious. You need to go back outside to order from a walk up window and they'll give you a beeper for when your food is ready. Found this odd but no big deal! They do tours here too, and they have a tree house which I thought was nice. (To go up you need to join a tour) . Wife and I chose only to drink eat and play bingo. It was a great night to walk in and to drink and play bingo! Thank you Dogfish Head it was all so good

My girlfriend and I booked the hour tour at noon on a Friday. We arrived right at noon, and the…read moretour was already on the move, so definitely arrive early to get the safety overview and glasses (especially because it's easy to get stuck behind some farm vehicles in that area). The tour was above and beyond what we expected! Our tour guide, Susie, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything and anything about the history of the brewery and the science behind it all. She was so enthusiastic and a genuine joy to spend the hour with! Our tour got to go up in the treehouse and that was very neat! After the tour (and a little bit during) we tasted many beers that are not available to the general public. It's pretty obvious why this brewery is so popular - all of their beers, even the ones you may not gravitate towards (for us, dark beers) are smooth and well balanced. There are plenty of tables inside and outside and some snacky food options. They have corn hole set up as well. We also think we may have spotted Mr. Sam himself while we were there, which was an added bonus! We ended the day in the gift shop where you can buy beer, canned cocktails, spirits and lots of cool merch!

Date of Visit: July 30, 2025…read more This was an unplanned stop on my road trip from Florida and what a surprise this place was. As I was going from Rehoboth Beach to New Castle I was wanting to take RT 9 north off the beaten path. As I was coming to the RT1/9 split I had traffic in front and behind and they seem to be in a hurry, Neil wasn't. So I pulled off the road at this place to let everyone by. As I came in thru the entrance the sign read "Free Museum" I says to myself "FREE" I need to check it out and glad I did... As I walked inside you have a really nice gift shop that you need to explore and support. The volunteers working were the best. Not sure where to start but as you enter the main area it is just loaded with WWII, Korean and Vietnam displays. Ever wonder how those belly and tail gunners worked, there is a display for that. I know I could not have done it. There is even a mock-up control tower to explore and listen to the base tower giving commands. On my visit I was able to see a C130 take off from the tower. If your ever in the area this is a must stop, especially if your a history buff. And at the end, please give these people a donation for a job well done. Peace.

Thank you to the staff here, as so friendly, knowledgeable, and great service all around. Inside the World War 2 planes are phenomenal. Skytrain. Aviation fans will know that. You can walk in several planes, including a former Air Force 2, C130 Hercules, and C141 Starlifter. Soon they will have an A10 Warthog. The F101 and F106's were great to see, and will admit sensory overload. So many great planes, and also the former air traffic control tower were top notch. You'll want to go here. Donations appreciated but no admission cost!

Just off main street, you'll walk in to a beautiful room with walls of books surrounding you. But the first thing you'll see is the astounding art scattered around the walls. Truly lovely paintings (my favorites involved dogs) that made you feel like you were in a really elevated store. There were different book selections, though it wasn't too overwhelming that you had analysis paralysis in what to choose. THE STORY. We were chatting with the owner, who mentioned that she had written a book the previous year called Death is My Life. And she was describing her life who were really struck with everything that she had been through and bought ourselves a copy. Her significant other was in the back room doing the accounting and he was just as friendly. It was so lovely seeing these two people, and they really mentioned their appreciation that we stomped by not only to support a local bookstore, but to support a local bookstore in the off-season. We chatted a bit about what books were good, and ended up buying two that we'll read while here and on the plane ride back home. Do yourself a favor. Stroll through main Street, stop in this beautiful little bookstore, and buy a book to keep the spirit of this town going strong.
