Called a few times to check on the verification process and Heath was flat out rude. Told me find insurance elsewhere when I called almost 2weeks later for a follow up. Stating if I need insurance call someone else. I started this process weeks ago and this unprofessional of them both Called the main 800 number they sent an email to underwriting team and completed the verification process in less than an hour and completed my insurance request. read more

I have had Geico for almost 2yrs now and have my policy through this Local Phoenix office, off camelback and 101. Everyone in the office is great to work with, my rates were much lower than others I quoted with, and I also got the renters insurance through them as well, with great rates. They were so easy and nice to work with in the office, they really have great customer service. Someone (I believe my ex) set my car and home on fire. Gieco has been treating me like the main suspect rather that a victim of arson and a customer. The entire process has been awful. Given it is a fight with my home owners insurance - I either stay in motels or my car - all paid for by me so far. During the Covid-19 outbreak all this is terrifying. I had to get a new car, but cannot afford 2 car payments and they are being really slow to get everything together with my GAP insurance. If I end up paying 2 car payments - I will be permanently in my car. read more

This agency is large, very friendly, and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond at all times. The reviews I've read on here are not specific to this location, but rather the experience with claims or corporate. Let's be clear that Every insurance company will raise rates regardless of whether or not You're a perfect driver. It's about state increases and zoning. Geico is full of it. My car was totaled by a JB Hunt semi in a parking lot. Hit and run. The truck driver was caught, and the police report sided with me. Geico representatives I spoke to said that it wasn't the law that mattered, but their opinion. I got a crappy check, and Geico elected to not pursue the trucking company to get the money I was owed. I am now without a car thanks to their terrible service and the awful people at JB Hunt. Pay your premiums and sod off should be their motto. My family will be changing providers after 15+ years. read more

GEICO for auto is great! But they are really really bad for home insurance through Homesite, would never ever recommend them. One small claim drove my price from $850 a year to almost $2000 a year. I feel like I was never insured and their payout was just like a bank loan that I am paying back. also just an FYI and to be fair to agents of geico I got my policy through phone call directly with geico not any particular street location agent. read more

I have had Geico insurance for several years now, and they raise their rates every 6 months on us, and we have a good driving record.

I signed up for Geico online and saved $120 month over another major insurance carrier for my car insurance. I wasn't sure what kind of customer service I would get, but when I totaled my car in November 2013 I was amazed at how fast the claim was processed and how helpful and courteous the staff was. They even valued my car at more than the Blue Book value, so needless to say I was thrilled. Great company, great prices, great customer service! read more

This is just a Geico future customers BEWARE!!! I have been with Geico since March 2016 having been referred to them by a family member who has had them while living here in AZ and CA. The price of the policy is great... but...it's the policy verbiage you HAVE TO BE AWARE OF .. it's DECEPTIVE! I switched from USAA and AAA most recently due to the high cost of premiums here, always having a pretty comprehensive insurance policy and low deductibles! I had FULL glass coverage covered from BOTH policies, with no OUT OF POCKET DEDUCTIBLE TO BE MET FOR WINDOW REPLACEMENT!!! Low and behold, Geico NOW tells me they actually have an "ARIZONA GLASS DAMAGE WAIVER" which I was told just a few minutes ago they don't advertise to ARIZONA customers. When I signed up for Geico, I told the agent everything I previously had and wanted the same. I received my copy of the "plan" in the mail, sections were already highlighted as to what we went over on the phone.. and here is what it says under comprehensive: "comprehensive coverage typically pays for damage to your vehicle not caused by collision, such as theft, flood, vandalism, explosion, and fire." NO WHERE does it state that glass coverage will have to meet a deductible first!!! The deductible I chose is $100 for comprehensive coverage, NOW comes the kicker with Geico... they don't cover "damage to windshields either chips, cracks, or totally, you have to pay your deductible first" then it would get covered after that. I have been in the customer service industry for many years, and was always told whatever makes the customer happy... to keep them as a future customer!!! NOT INTERESTED IT SEEMS FOLKS... they just kept repeating the same SCRIPTED lines over and over.. both the customer service rep and the "glass" rep... sorry but I won't be recommending you any time soon, no matter how much you save on your insurance.. it's the principle... that all they had to do was waive that deductible since I was NEVER told of the AZ Glass Damage Waiver !!!! otherwise I would have included it originally on my policy and I would have been happy! Don't bother buying full coverage insurance with GEICO. I purchased full comprehensive and collision coverage with GEICO for my 2013 Kia in the state of Maryland. My son and I took a cross country trip to California. While driving through the Apache National Forest on the Arizona/New Mexico border, we came around a curve and hit a rock that had fallen off a cliff. The rock ripped the entire bottom out of the car. It crushed the muffler and the gas tank. It tore a hole in the transmission. It put a huge dent in the floor to the car and it damaged the subframe. Sounds like this car should be totaled, doesn't it? Instead GEICO has decided to use junkyard parts to fix my 2013 car! It has been a month and the car still isn't fixed. I have been paying for a rental car out of pocket. When I called the supervisor of my adjuster to discuss the safety issues with a car that has had damage to the subframe, he told me that I should sell it after they fix it (I spoke with David Edgar in Arizona). When I spoke with Mr. Edgar's boss, James Jones, he told me that it was more cost effective to fix the car than to total it. When I asked to speak with Mr. Jones' supervisor, he told he had no supervisor. He was as high as I could go and refused to give me the name or number of anyone above him. Thanks GEICO. You completely devalued my new car by using junkyard parts for an accident you agree was not my fault. To make matters worse, they are considering the damage done to the back of the car by the tow company to be a separate claim so now I have to pay the deductible twice! I called the hotline for them to send a tow truck and was on the phone with them for an hour and a half but they couldn't find my location. They told me to call the police to find out where I was, which I did. They told me they would hold until I came back on the line, but they did not. I called back and told them where the police said I was but they still couldn't find it! So, they told me to call the closest tow truck company myself, which I did. Now, because they didn't call the tow truck company for me, I have to consider this two separate claims. Don't use this insurance company! Their commercials are a lie! They are not customer oriented and they will not be there for you when you need their help, which you are PAYING for!! read more

I am a 21 year old female who entered the Geico office on Camelback and 95th Ave in AZ. I feel as though I was treated much differently than everyone else in the office because I was not in there with a spouse and/or a child, nor a parent to look after me. The agent who "helped" me did not search for additional discounts. He did not double check that my Navy Federal discount was applied, and when I told him I wanted to bundle with my renter's insurance he said it "wasn't going to do much for the rate at all." In fact... he couldn't quite understand why I was there at all, considering I had completed the online quote. I explained to him that I needed my Motor Vehicle Record pulled first, as I had a few accidents a few years back that I was fuzzy on the dates of. As I feared, one of the incidents needed fixing in the system. He then backtracked, saw what I was saying, and gave me my new, more accurate rate. Perfect, exactly as I needed (plus a little attitude at the work I was making him do). I then told the agent again that I needed renter's insurance. I kid you not, this man's reaction was, "That's a completely separate policy." followed by silence and him sitting back in his chair. At this point, I was getting very frustrated with the service I was receiving. I could tell the other two agents in the office were much more friendly, even making casual conversation with their guests. I told the agent, yes, I understood it's a different policy, BUT it didn't change the fact that I needed renter's insurance. He opened up a new quote and began asking me questions. He asked if there was a dog on the premises. I told him yes, I owned a Boxer/Shar Pei mix. He said he could not give me a policy because BOXERS yes, BOXERS were on "the list." Flash forward 10 minutes of me arguing and they really weren't, it was just this agent not knowing how to fill out a renter's insurance application with the proper company - Assurant. This agent was not willing to listen to me at all - kept cutting me off and honestly, I felt as though I was being treated like I didn't know my hind from a hole in the ground. I even went so far as to TELL the man I did not like or appreciate his attitude toward me. As he scrambled to apologize and backtrack saying he wasn't giving me said attitude, I couldn't help thinking that I didn't HAVE to be there, I chose to be there. I had to run out to the car to get the VIN number before everything was finalized, and I ALMOST GOT IN MY CAR AND DROVE AWAY. He was not appreciative and did not treat me with the same level of respect that others in the room were receiving. In the least threatening manner possible - Geico is lucky their rates are lower for me than their competitors, because I've received FAR better service, even from people charging me twice as much. NOT a great first impression. Realize that not all "millenials" are clueless and some of us just want to be taken seriously and treated with respect. read more

After being an insured driver under this insurance company for more than 5 years with no issues or complications, it is disheartening to say, I am so disappointed by the company. After being told I had to combine insurances with my fiancé, for whatever reason and being okay with that, they incorrectly entered my information then misinformed the DMV of my "lack of insurance" although I was still paying it every month and after I get pulled over for no registration and bad plates, they refuse to pay or even reimburse me for the charge. Now is that good customer service? I do not think so. Is it my fault their employee incorrectly transferred over the information? No. Is it my fault they then sent that information to the DMV and had my registration ceased? No. Is it their responsibility to rectify this issue and simply reimburse me for this temporary permit I now have to get due to their error? YES! However they are not going to do that. So after speaking with 2 representatives, one who was extremely frustrating for her argumentative demeanor "Paulette" and the other who was able to quickly transfer me over to the supervisor who upon apologizing was still unwilling/"unable to do anything about it" I have decided to change my insurance after my policy is up. Personally a company that is unwilling to admit fault and reimburse someone for an issue they caused, is not the type of company I would like to stay with...it says a lot about the company and their values.
