The laceration went through my forehead and across each layer to the bone. The ER stitched me up, and it just didn't look right. There was no way I could leave it in the condition it was in. The following Saturday morning my boyfriend made a call to Dr Matthews after being referred by a close family doctor. Dr Matthews went out of his way to come in on a Saturday. He was very kind and understanding. He treated the appointment like any other appointment- turned on music, patiently re-stitched the large laceration, was very professional and had a great conversation with my boyfriend and I. Dr Matthews came in when it was not planned to help a complete stranger out. He made me feel very welcomed and I immediately trusted him. He did phenomenal work on the stitching of my laceration. They were so detailed and aligned. Since the procedure, he has been communicative and responsive with all our questions. I am very grateful for Dr Matthews and highly recommend him. He is genuinely a great person

Alexander Gutierrez was one of the most dismissive and arrogant healthcare workers I've ever encountered. My mother presented in severe pain and instead of showing concern or even basic kindness, we were met with coldness and condescension. At one point, he responded with "pain is subjective" in a tone that felt less like clinical education and more like a dismissal of her suffering. I fully understand emergency departments triage based on acuity and not simply pain scores. That's not the issue. The issue was the complete lack of compassion and the way a vulnerable patient was spoken to during a frightening moment. There's a difference between being clinically efficient and being emotionally detached to the point patients feel dehumanized. Unfortunately, this experience felt like the latter. No family should leave triage feeling belittled for advocating for someone they love.

The lobby is cozy. The office staff is extremely helpful and friendly. From initial consultation to post op I was given all the info I could need. The morning of my appointment I was taken in promptly and prepared for my procedure. I started to have some panic in the room prior to the doctor coming in the room. The assistant worked to calm me and once he came in he also helped me relax. In fact they were so good at distracting me I didn't realize they were giving me the IV to sedate me. In post op I was well taken care of and the nurses helped get me to my car where my ride was waiting to deliver me home. The office even called to check on me that afternoon. 100% best office for any dental surgical procedure.

Stephanie at the front desk misquoted our total at the consultation and for a person without insurance the amount has to be clear. We came in for wisdom teeth removal and was quoted an amount totaling the services by Stephanie. She provide a discount for not having insurance and made us pay 50% of the whole balance at the time of consultation. During treatment she asked me for the final payment and was done, at that time I was only thinking of my daughter's surgery I'm not thinking finances. After surgery I gather my receipts and notice an over charge from Stephanie at the front office and multiple calls with no callbacks. So I reached out to Dr. McMurray so he can get involved. His response was straightforward call the office tomorrow. I called multiple times no answer only left a vm after a few attempts. No call back, called again some nice lady in Los Baños office answered but said I had to call Gilroy office. I said this is were I'm calling she said yes but the calls get routed there if the Gilroy location is not available. So I felt stuck in a look without being responded. So finally yesterday after a few attempts and they don't answer their phones I finally speak to Stephanie and she responds with oh yes there was is over charge by our end. And we will return it back. She gives me the amount of $155. I was in complete shock my over was close to 700.00 and only receiving back $155.00charge according to Stephanie. During the consultation I was told a different lesser amount. So they charge over what I was told after they rendered the service. Dr.McMurray did not got involved nor try take accountability for his I email him with my situation so he can resolve the over charged but front office Stephanie has no customer service, no accountability, nor I'm sorry I made a mistake. Dr. McMurray and his staff showed a complete lack of accountability and customer service. We had a great experience at his San Jose location before, but this office was disappointing. I will not be returning. I would not recommend this place. Nor come back for taking advantage of this situation. My over payment was close to $700.00 dollars. That is unacceptable.
