Appointment for Wed 1pm I arrived 12:50pm. 2 others in waiting room. Very clean place. Very friendly receptionist(only 1 person in the office front). Gave me iPad to fill out questionnaire and consent forms(my first time here). I quickly filled out but I did not sign Hippa consent, cause it states I was acknowledging I received the HIPPA forms read and understood them. I went to window asked to see the forms, the girl said just sign I don't need to see them. I explained it's federal Act ( since 1996) establishing standards for patient right to their records and I want to read it, they should print it out and hand to patients if they want a digital signature. After 20 minutes they printed it. Next I found another issue on the program they use on iPad, it asks to sign accepting that the emergency contacts I entered Can Not request medical records. I explained to girl their that I elected for them to HAVE the right to request records. She said just sign when it uploads it changes it on my screen. I explained that's unprofessional and unacceptable to ask me to sign something that then anther system will change on its own. I asked to speak to office manager cause I know she did not write the program on the iPad but this needs to be addressed. She said they don't have office manager there at all. I asked who is in charge? She said No one.....whaaaat! I asked her to get nurse or doctor in charge today. She refused. She said if I don't sign everything then they will refuse services to me. Then she said bye have a nice day. After wasting almost 2 hours there left at 2:15pm. I suggest whoever is the owner here look to training staff to be better knowledgeable with respect to the field they work in and have a 3rd party programming company look at software you use for minor errors, this could have been avoidable. Now I have to take another day off next week probably to make another prescreen appointment elsewhere. read more

Horrible Care and customer service. You call the phone and nobody picks up the phone, then when they do they hang up on you. The girl at the front desk is so rude!! The doctor Gonzales is unprofessional as well not letting myself explain my symptoms and just brushing me off like i'm just another patient. I felt disregarded and not seen. Would not send medication prescriptions to pharmacy either and would result in me having to call multiple times. TERRIBLE PLACE!!! read more

The doctor seemed very nice, the issue is the customer service in order to see the doctor. Their phone system doesn't work, I called 15 x and it gets disconnected after a minute or so on hold. They are aware of their issue with the phones and they don't fix it. How can you run a business this way. We also had a telehealth appointment at 2:15 to discuss biopsy results and dr never called. When I finally get through she said that he will call before 5. This is so un-professional, although I liked the dr, I don't think I will return due to their poor customer service. read more

You wait for hours, bad customer service in person and on the phone, they present the nurses as doctors, they switch doctors for the procedure without notice , meaning the doctor can promise you that he will do the procedure and schedule you for a day that he isn't even suppose to work....- i wouldn't recommend at all. read more

This has been the worst Dr's office I have ever dealt with....number 1 you can't call and speak to someone they don't call back after you've left a message....and worst had an appointment for a colonscopy did everything I had to do for 5 days arrive at my 8:am appointment and had to leave because there had not been an approval. NEVER AGAIN and NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!! This is one of the worst medical office experiences I've ever had. I had an outpatient endoscopy procedure done by Dr. Rivas at the hospital. That went well. Thank God. However, the follow-up at his office is where it all began. I CALLED THE OFFICE 5 TIMES to get a message through to Dr. Rivas to no avail. I had to finally speak to the manager - Melissa - who was very helpful and finally got me what I wanted. But it wasn't the end of it. I had to do some blood work and then go back to see him for the results. This is where it got worse. The earliest I could see him was 3 months later. I opted to see one of their other doctors and after waiting another 3 weeks, I was called 2 days before my appointment and asked to switch to telehealth. I agreed. On the day of the appointment, it was 4 hours later that I got a call and was told I needed to pay a co-pay to speak to the doctor, who I would have to wait for. Time is of the essence for me because I work from home and just happened to answer the phone. I didn't have much time at this point since I had blocked off my morning for the call which came like I said, 4 hours later. Thank God there is not an urgency to my report. I told my doctor who had referred this office to me that his reputation was on the line for referring this place. He said HE's BEEN GETTING COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEM and will no longer make referrals. And as you by now have figured out, neither will I. STAY AWAY. PS: I was called almost a week after my procedure to tell me that I had one coming up on the Friday of that week and how I was to prepare for it. Horrible experience from the moment you walk in to the doctor and when you leave. They don't listen before they talk over you and just say it's stress. They also over charged me by $20 for my copay and I told them the amount it says on my insurance and they said I was wrong. Well I called to get my $20 and they still haven't refunded me and it's been about a month and last time stated they would send me a check answer I'm still waiting to get my check. Only 2 people from the call center were friendly and that's it. I will never go back and highly recommend no one coming here. They don't care for their patients, it's just another nice check they get from the insurance. read more

Never!!! contact this company, because the medical assistant of the doctor named Kenya does not fulfill her duties at all!!! They do not send a referral to either diagnostic centers or insurance companies. I have never seen such irresponsible work, such indifference anywhere. You will waste your time. In vain, if you trust your Health to this company. I can not say anything against the Doctor Rivas , maybe he is not aware of the lawlessness that is happening in his company. Horrible place. I went for a year and ultimately left after a million tests and no answers. They are completely clueless and the customer service in front is equally as bad. If you have a serious issues I recommend you look elsewhere. I now have a new gastro who is pretty much starting over and has already figured out my issues. What a joke. read more

The office staff is literally THE WORST I have ever encountered, stay away. The communication and response of Dr. Rivas's staff is terrible. They cancel appointments without notification, they rarely answer the phone when you call or reply to messages, and they do not have any customer service skills. Twice I have driven all the way to their office in Hollywood only to find out that my appointment had been cancelled and they themselves cannot find any record of a notification phone call, wasting my time and money. Instead of apologizing they just shrug their shoulders and say they are busy. I also had a virtual visit scheduled with Dr. Rivas (they insisted) for an ECHO result and I was never called by the doctor. I then left a message to get another one scheduled and still have not been contacted. Their patient portal is a joke and not compliant to current ONC rules, appointment requests go unanswered and you cannot view your chart, your results or pay the co-pay from the site: In 2024! When you finally get to see Dr. Rivas or Dr. Gonzalez, they are good doctors and very nice. But good luck trying to see them without pulling your hair out. Also what is with the prison grey colors? The waiting room is grey and the staff all wear grey scrubs. Very depressing for patients. What a joke. read more

A waste of money... I've got an endoscopy scheduled tomorrow and I'm being called at 11AM the day before, telling me it's canceled; told me I'll have to reschedule at a hospital... My insurance company is going to have a field day with that, and I'm not willing to pay for that pricing just for a procedure that takes less than an hour (according to all the research I've done). What's upsetting is that with my work, if I'm unavailable, I won't be able to snag a job at the time of distribution.... I've been trying to get this procedure done for over a year and now when I finally have some time, I'm called THE DAY BEFORE to be told it's cancelled!? So now I'm losing money Just because of my vitals? When y'all have access to all of that with a click of a mouse?! Not even a full 24 hours for a simple phone call giving me a heads up... Don't go here, they'll just try to bill the shit out of your insurance company and tell you last minute the bullshit I just wrote.. never coming back here and I advise everyone not to waste their time here. read more

Had to get a colonoscopy and paid 900 out of pocket and they couldn't complete it because the doctor did not have the correct instrument. No money was returned or credited back to me. The staff is cold and unapologetic. I would not recommend anyone to go here. They also want me to return to go over my results (which there is none) and pay $90. This place is a scam!! read more

I went to 5 initial appointments because they were unprepared and unorganized.. then months into this seeking care for a serious illness we finish everything up and I'm told I will receive a call within the week to start my meds.... BEWARE! Disorganized. Cold and uncompromising doctor Rivas. Scheduled follow up visit with a 90$ fee with Brenda (no longer working for them), only to arrive and was told its 125$. Manager insisted the same fee even after speaking with Dr. Rivas. And, made me wait 40 minutes. Willing to loose patient for 35$. Will never return to this practice. read more

I went to see Dr. Rivas for a condition that no other doc over several years had been able to help with. His on line reviews are/were quite positive. I told his staff that I needed a doc who'd go go above and beyond to try and help with my issue, of course they raved about him. Waiting room is very small and there's no enforcement of face covering 'requirements.' Doc is friendly, professional, and tries to be helpful. His staff are about the best I've encountered, friendly and upbeat. Problem is that Dr. Rivas' only idea was a medication that, rather than help with my actual concern, MIGHT have helped only with a related problem. In fact, the drug caused rather severe side effects, none of which I was advised about, and had to look up on line to see if what I was experiencing might have been caused by the medication. Every symptom I was experiencing was described as a med side effect! Getting off the drug . . no more side effects. Unfortunately my original condition and symptoms persist. If I had another need for a GI I would certainly go back, but I'd be sure to ask enough of the right questions at the start . Dr. Rivas tried, and he's a good guy... but it seems that there is no doctor anywhere that really can help with my condition. read more
