I went there as a walk-in patient as I recently moved here and was not sorted out with my relocation for a new Dr. and I needed medical attention. So glad I tried this place. I was feeling sick and coming down with a bad cold and my regular Dr was away, so I thought I'd try this place. They were able to see me right away and 15 minutes later, I was in the waiting room being greeted by the nicest gatekeeper ever. The young lady at the front named Carlene was a pleasant surprise. She could work for me anytime. Caring, polite and efficient. She truly set the tone for a great experience to come with the Dr. I was seen by Angela Hall, and the PA and could not have felt in better hands. Once again, professional, caring and great service. I was totally impressed with the way I was treated and my overall experience. By the time I paid my co pay, the prescription was already at the pharmacy and I was quickly on my way. The facility is easy to find. Friendly staff and clean facility. Appointment scheduling needs some work. Wait time on the phone to make an appointment was to long. Was down in FT Lauderdale on vacation last week and got very ill (throwing up, high fever, cold sweats). I walked into an empty Stat Medical Clinic at 10 after 5pm EST on Friday looking like I was going to pass out from dehydration. The young man at the counter said that they did not take walk-ins after 5pm. I was seriously ill and the kid had no sympathy. Did not even try to help. He directed me to a place 20 minutes away. I cannot give any feedback to the doctor specifically but I would never recommend this place based on how I was treated by the guy a reception. If you don't take walk-ins after 5pm then put it on your site or here on Yelp. Smartin up! read more

THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN THE HELPING PROFESSION! Outside of Monique and the lovely french woman that works the front desk, this was a horrifying and unprofessional experience. The lack of empathy and even overall knowledge of the place they work is inexcusable( One man told me that they had an MRI machine-oops it was actually an X-ray machine. Was also told that he couldn't get my insurance card was not legit and had to pay out of pocket. However,I went to the hospital an hour later and it worked just fine. They clearly lack on all levels of sympathy when trying to attempt to care for people in pain. On Sunday evening I was told a call would be made to my insurance first thing in the morning so I can get the recommended MRI. I called first thing in the morning and was greeted by a woman who said she would take care of it. I called 5 hours later, still no phone call to my insurance as I needed to start the process of getting my MRI appointment. I called a total of 5 times. I was hung up on, I was talked to rudely, I was left on hold for over 12 minutes and then used my cell phone to call to follow up , while still on hold and she answered my cell phone in 2 rings. I asked her to use have Monique call me. She never did. I called one more time an hour later and she actually picked up the phone and just left it sitting on get desk. Still, today 3 days later I have not received any phone calls and no follow up for my torn muscle in my leg. I went to another doctor Monday afternoon and he recommended me immediately to have it done as I have a serious tear. All was complete in 3 hours with my new doctor. What a nightmare to have to experience while in so much pain!!! read more

My wife had an emergency having injured her leg, tearing the skin, and was bleeding profusely, We drove over to Stat as they were the closest to our condo. We are new to the area, & my wife was on her 1st day of medicare and was told that the doctor had to leave and could not see her. She had her AARP card, ID and medicare account # and was told she needed her card. When I asked if the doctor would just look and we would pay .. we were told he could not do that under medicare, and further , he needed to see her as a medicare patient or he was putting himself at risk. We went to another place in the area & they saw her, used the info, gave her a tetanus shot and could not have been nicer.. and bandaged her up, cared for the wound etc . That is why I rate them a zero - & think the doctor simply could have looked at the leg and if he had to leave, simply tell my wife to go to an ER , not have the office manager spew out a bunch of rhetoric - and show zero care ... while the doctor stood by and never said a word... read more

I would (and have) recommend STAT Medical to anyone looking for a primary care physician. I love all of the staff because they are professional and friendly. They are also very accommodating. My fiancé was very sick and they took him as a walk in as soon as they could, even though he had never been there before. Dr. Stinson is my primary care physician and he always makes a point to say hello even if he isn't treating me that day. I experience very little wait time when I do come for an appointment. This is because they have very flexible hours and are open until 7pm (I believe) 7days per week! This makes it easy to make an appointment and not miss any work for those who have a 9 to 5 like I do. There are also two Physician's Assistants (P.A.) that are lead by Dr Stinson, who also provide excellent care that is right on par with Dr. Stinson's. read more

I have been to this walk-in clinic before and had a great experience all around. Today I popped in to see what time I could be seen by a doctor as I live just down the street and figured I would just drive over instead of calling in hopes they could see me right away. I was really disappointed by the complete lack of professionalism that I was met with. I was told the first time I could be seen was in a few hours, which was perfectly fine. I asked the lady at the front desk if she could check whether they accepted my new insurance and let her know that if not, I could pay it out of pocket. Somehow this was too much to ask because she went on a whole rant about how they did not have a contract with my insurance company and that they wouldn't cover any of it. As I tried to restate and to further explain that I would be willing to pay the full amount myself, she became extremely argumentative out of nowhere. As I was trying to explain she asked me over and over "can I finish?" Really not the kind of person anyone wants to deal with when they're not feeling well. I ended up having to walk out as it was clear I was not going to accomplish anything with this individual as the gatekeeper. read more

Went for an emergency. I could not drive and this clinic is 2 blocks from my building. The man at reception was so condescending, speaking to me as if I were a child or something. Obviously I was having an emergencyband could not think straight. He said I needed an appointment or wait for about an hour. He was never friendly, not a smile. It was clear he did not want to be there. After almost 2 hrs someone came, took my vitals and put me in a room, closed the door and never said anything. I panicked, I was having vertigo ( didn't know then) and I opened the door and like "get me out of here! " The doctor finally came, took a brief look at me, heard my heart , layed me down, turned the lights off ( my dizziness felt better in the dark) and went to do something on the computer. Again, closed the door and left me there. Now I'm in tears, thinking I was having a stroke ir something. It was horrible the whole experience! Of course I went to Holy Cross the next day and it was a totally diferent experience. read more

What do you want from a walk in clinic? Easy in, easy out, right? I went in late Friday and was out in less than 45 mins after being seen by Angela for a rash in my back. I was adequately diagnosed and treated and didn't spend too much time or money by going to my dermatologist's office. I would definitely recommend them.
