Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

The owners were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, making the entire experience relaxed and enjoyable. I love the entire staff and have always had the absolute best experiences I was so nervous when Dr. Maynard retired, but Dr. Heffelfinger has continued to give excellent care to us and any nervousness I had about him retiring has vanished. Therefore on Monday morning I immediately called the office directly so I could get my issue checked out. I tried three times but never received a call back after leaving multiple messages. I ended up calling the national scheduling center and they tried calling but could not get a hold of anyone as well. The person I spoke to said she was going to elevate the concern to her supervisor. The customer service representative was very helpful and was able to get me an appointment at another location "Eyetech" which is affiliated with 2020 they were amazing. Over the last few years, I've definitely noticed the level of service is not up to par at the Glendale location. I have officially changed all future appointments to Eyetech.
