I work remotely, a desk job, and my vision would start off fine in the beginning of my day, but a few hours into my day; my vision would get blurry for a few hours, then go back to being fine in the afternoon. The doctor kept testing my vision in the exam room; as in seeing if there was something wrong with my lenses. It turned out my eyes were dry. How can a doctor not know when a patients eye is dry? That is alarming to me. Luckily, he has been patient throughout the process; but is frustrating to see an optometrist who cannot detect dry eyes. 3. If you have an appointment at 12:00, plan to n being there until 1:30pm. The doctor does not see you until 12:45/1:00pm.

After introductions and a nice chat, Eyemagination started to feel like an old-fashioned salon or barbershop, where you've been coming for years and it feels like family. I didn't realize what goes into a proper glasses fitting because, I guess I've never had one! You get your face measured. You get your dominant eye checked, spacing, all angles and nose bridge noted. They have gadgets. It's the closest thing you'll find to choosing the right wand from Ollivanders. I'm pretty sure my glasses chose me. The technicians are part artist, part clinician, part engineer and part designer. I was helped by Maureen, the lovely, twinkly-eyed, warm shop owner. Stephen also joined in, and was sharp, attentive, caring and impressive. The two make an excellent team and they found me a frame I would actually enjoy wearing. When I returned a week or so later to pick up the glasses and get a final fitting, both Maureen and another lovely lady whose name I am forgetting helped adjust things perfectly. Maureen really wants the glasses to fit and feel comfortable and watches you like a hawk to make sure you are truly happy with your selection. My prescription was challenging but she nailed it. My mom's sunglasses look fantastic and I'm sure her regular glasses will too when they're ready. The frame selection was super, even for the lower-priced options. Skip the zoo at Costco, Walmart or Target and swing over to this local business that has been knocking it out of the park for several decades. They are so warm and welcoming, you'll walk away wishing you needed a pair every year just to visit for the company and lovely conversation. Didn't go over results, didn't tell me if my prescription had changed ... didn't ask me about my needs. Which until this moment I forgot I wanted to talk to her about allergies and eye drops. Another gal called me back to the lobby. She just went right into what my insurance covered and that was it. I had to ask her opinion on the frames I chose, I had to ask her what I was being charged for as they were insanely expensive ... not what the commercials advertise at all. Again, I had to say to her "can you help me find a frame that will work with this prescription" I ended up buying one pair from them and bringing the prescription to Costco up the street where I had incredible one on one attention and bought two other pairs for the price of their one

Very efficient as well to make your visit flow smoothly and timely. - Generous business hours. This location (and probably all other Target Optical locations too) caters to families with children and working individuals who need more generous hours. My retired optometrist's office catered to elderly, retired folks (opened 4 days a week 8:30am-4pm). Obviously, I was able to make it work for all these years but not everyone can. - Very fast exams. They schedule exams in 20 minute increments and I wasn't sure how thorough these fast exams would go. It turned out fine. The exams hit on everything needed and there was time to ask questions, share concerns, socialize, etc. - Large selections of eyeglasses. This is a small but mighty office. I was impressed with the variety of eyeglass frames offered. And I especially appreciate that they have their own Target brands of eyeglass frames for those who want/need something as affordable as possible. Cons: - Small physical space. It can't be helped as this is inside a Target store and only so much space can be allotted. I know that small spaces can bother some folks so I wanted to point this out. - Very fast exams. This was a Pro for me personally but this can definitely be a Con for someone else. If you are someone who has a large number of concerns and do want the extra time - a smaller, independently owned office may be a better fit. - Mismatching business information between website and physical location. The hours of operations are WRONG on the Target website. The website showed that there were opened on Sundays only to find out they were not opened when we went in to pick up my child's new glasses. I will be submitting changes to Yelp to reflect the hours posted at the physical location. Also, the website had a wrong phone number to this location somehow. The phone number shown on Yelp is correct. I'm happy to return as a regular client and would recommend this to my other family members and friends.

I gave Ohana Eye Care 5 stars because each time I had an issue or questions they either answered my question or resolved the issue as soon as possible.Dr Kwok is so patience and attentive to your concerns about your eyes!! And she keeps the same smile as she explains to you her diagnose of your eye examine. I followed Dr. Kwok from Target optical on Lake pleasant and Happy Valley. I have enjoyed her professionalism, thoroughness, and genuine care. In experiencing her new staff and office I can say that each person in this facility truly cares. Each of them took the time to get to know my optical needs. Came in and verified insurance, had exam, and all of a sudden, as we're ready to leave, they asked for almost $400 more than what I was told on the phone as my co-pay PLUS an additional $45 for a "contact lense training" for a new wearer. Mind you, ALL of what they did, the exam, eyeglass script, and lense fitting (with new contact lenses wearer), would have been $120 each at Costco WITHOUT insurance. They literally LIED to me to guilt me to pay SOMETHING saying they could lose their license if I did not pay for service rendered or if they gave a discount. Not to mention, they were running late and the entire visit lasted longer than a typical Costco visit. What a waste of time and now I have to keep my fingers crossed that I can take my vision benefits to Costco in order to get a contact lens fitting without having to pay twice. Better frame selection at Costco and Eyeglass world as well as other shops.

I visited, rcvd my eye exam, & ordered new glasses on April 23, 2025 The time it took to receive my new lenses was longer than any vision outfit I've ever dealt with...over two weeks, & I'm 75 yrs old! When they arrived my regular lense glasses were fine. My sunglasses were a disaster. A small sliver of the lens just above the bifocal was accurate. The entire top half of the lens was out of focus. The bifocal was so low I had to tilt my head back to even use them. That was two weeks ago. It is June 2, 2025 as of this writing. I called AECC this morning for the status of my reconfigured sunglasses. The CSR could not even tell me if or when they'd be shipped! This is by far the worst new glasses purchase I've ever had. Who knows when I'll have my new sunglasses...properly made? I really loved the staff & the opthalmologist. This review pains me.
