Stay away! They may provide good plumbing service, but I had a horrible time with their accounting department. The issue that I had was that water was leaking from a PEX joint in the pipe. Very simple to fix it. John the Plumber charged $400 for this job. I think that their charges are extreme for a simple repair. Their minimum charge seems to be $400. read more

we needed a valve changed in our downstairs toilet. This company charged us $87 to come over and tell us the replacement would cost $360! We have had these valves replaced for about $100 on other toilets. We paid them for the visit and chose to loose the money rather than having to hassle with such a company. John the Plumber sent Steve to address our blocked kitchen drain. We knew the problem and had tried to address it: basically snaking a drain, but our auger was apparently too short. Steve was great and assessed the situation, which basically just needed a longer auger. But the bid of $400 (add the $80 consult and taxes) was obscene for a 10 minute job and there was no way we were going to pay it. Another company did the job for $125 in about 10 minutes the next day. I could have done it for less by buying or renting a longer auger ($50 at Home Depot). What a scam for a minor problem. Maybe this company is better for major problems but a bad choice for small issues. read more

They did work on the neighbors house and dug up my driveway (without my permission) then when asked to fixed the hole they left in my driveway they wanted to charge me for it! They cut it up they should have to fix it back up. Most companies will put everything back to it was before they started but not john the plumber they are just a money hungry company!! I waited 2 hours for a plumber who ended up being a no show. The company called me to let me know they could not contact their plumber. Had these guys come to fix a leak that brought down a ceiling. They came fast even tho they were at another job. Problem was assessed and next day they were there at 8 am with materials plus a new tool and job was done quickly. Contractors in Kingston are usually terrible so this was a relief.
