I can truly say I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience from this University to help me prepare for what I want to do in the future. They have offered me so much research opportunities and exposed me to many companies that are in my interest. They introduced programs that helped pay for my undergrad and also programs that paid for my Masters Degree (Stevens Tech '11 Grad Masters in Mechanical Engineering). Over all I say the engineering program is up to par. One of the improvements I could think of at the moment is their need to upgrade software and lab tools used in classrooms. In a general aspects, parking could be competitive if you plan on parking near your building, which is not to bad, it is less than a half a mile walk to where ever you need to go.

The people that I encountered were friendly and helpful in directing me to the Spider Shop which I believe is in the student center. I was hoping to browse the shop and perhaps buy a shirt or other University memorabilia. Unfortunately, the Spider Shop was closed when I arrived so perhaps the shop closes on Sundays. I didn't attend University here but I enjoyed my short visit. The Sir Christopher Wren Building at William & Mary is the oldest college building still standing in the United States and the oldest of the restored public buildings in Williamsburg. It was constructed between 1695 and 1700, before Williamsburg was founded, when the capital of the colony of Virginia was still located at Jamestown, and the tract of land between the James and York rivers which was to become Williamsburg was populated by crude timber buildings and known as "Middle Plantation." The Wren Building has been gutted by fire three times -- in 1705, 1859 and 1862. Each time the interior of the structure was rebuilt, and for more than three centuries, it has been "the soul of the College." In the building, generations of William & Mary students have attended classes and lectures, enjoyed meals and attended classes. The most honored tradition however of graduation exercises takes place here. The reconstruction is not expected to be complete until the 2026-2027 school year.

The Wren Building (perhaps the oldest college building in the United States) appears similar in design to the Royal Hospital of Chelsea (in London). The Sadler Center is a modern hub for student activities and socializing. It's a great building to visit if students are on campus as it can give you a sense of the campus vibe. The undergraduate students appear to outnumber graduate students (the law school is on a separate campus). I noticed one possible downside. While the campus is lovely, it does appear to be a "bubble" since it is physically isolated from a traditional community of local residents. Being physically next to Colonial Williamsburg - a mecca for tourists and Virginia middle school tour groups - may seem appealing at first. But it could grow old after a year or two.

Sargeant Reynolds in almost every aspect - helpful staff, parking, navigating the campus, interactions with professors, you name it. As a community member I learned that its resources are helpful and readily available. The Goochland campus adds a lot to the community, but is really a hidden gem. Be sure to stop by Garden Fest in April of every year to buy plants at great prices and take interesting classes all day.

The tuition is very affordable when compared to other schools in Virginia and made a real financial difference to my family and me. All of my credits transferred from RBC to my transfer school, which is not always the case with community college credits, so I would recommend looking into that before making a final decision on which school to attend. Overall I had a wonderful time at the school and it set me up for academic success at my transfer school.

My son is a Christian Baptist but he has been exposed to both Jewish and Muslim ideas that has given him a more worldly view. I am very pleased with his educational path. It has opened his eyes and made him a more tolerant person to understand other people and their viewpoints. I hope my 13yr old son will also choose this school when he is ready. It is a pricey school, but it is worth it!
