I did prefer the class when it was a bit smaller but who can blame all these kids for wanting to come here! (They also added another instructor when the class got bigger.) It's not just kids running around here, they are learning real technique & get a serious workout while having fun. I definitely recommend VIGS! PS. For anyone worried about Covid they follow all reccomendations. Masks, temperature checks, distancing, & they sanitize between each session.

Your kids are auto-enrolled in each subsequent 5-week session prior to the current session ending. They refuse to offer a refund for a 5 week session that 2 of my kids were auto enrolled in. They will not allow the payment to be applied to a different session or summer camp. Their online system does not keep track of unused sessions for make-up purposes. Customer service is not even on their radar here - staff is openly rude. Choose a better option for gymnastics for your kids! We've had a great experience at CORE Kids Academy!

Despite the rain, families and spectators were required to wait outside because organizers were not prepared to process payments efficiently because of the small facility. Parents were also not permitted to enter with their athletes, seemingly out of concern that entry fees might not be paid, even though competition fees -- which typically include venue costs -- had already been paid in advance with competition entry fees. The lack of consideration for participants' comfort was unnecessary and annoying. I will be speaking with our team about declining future invitations to compete at this venue.

Our instructer was awesome, great personality, kept the class fun and interesting. Most of us were beginners but he told us to do what we can, dont try to out do the person next to you. *Parents with children with special needs - PLEASE READ!…read more My son was diagnosed with ADHD/Autism two weeks before I registered for camp at the Tuckahoe YMCA. He's very high functioning and has been in the school setting since pre-k. I let them know prior to registering about his IEP plan and some accommodations we have in place. They made it seem like everything was okay! June 2nd was the first day of camp. Why did they politely kick my child out the program? First we talked about doing half days because it was a new environment but when I went to pick him up they basically said let's go ahead & issue a refund! I'm so frustrated but also understand all of the children's safety is the biggest priority! I think the most heartbreaking thing is they didn't give my child a chance to adapt to the environment or modify the camp schedule. They immediately decided they didn't want to work with him. I say this to say don't waste your time sending your children here for summer camp if they have any type of special needs. They will not work with them AT ALL! They didn't give my child any time to adjust. I'm disgusted with this location & the staff here.

Get them involved in cooking young so they can help in the kitchen later. Anyhow they made cinnamon and sugar dog shaped bones (for ppl not made for dogs). They gathered flour in a cup. Idk u gwt a huge cupful thats overflowing and to tap it three times to get air pockets out and then go across it with a knife or something similar to get rid of extra flour and get a nice evening cup of flour. They loved that and my 4 year old ended up with flour all over her pants. SHE REALLY GOT INTO IT. LOL. Then to complete the dog biscuits they rolled dough, pressed the dog shaped biscuit cookie cutter into the dough and added a few swipes of butter to coat it and added a pinch of cinnamon and sugar and since its just a,short class, they let them try samples of them they had already baked. Next station was strawberries with mascapone icing. They used a straw to push out the stem and then cut it in half and added icing. Oh man think that was the favorite station for all three of my kiddos. My 4 year old was like, "mmmm." Hehe. The other two kids inhaled it without much talking which means it was agreeable to their sometimes fussy pallets. You know how kids are if ur a parent or nanny. FUSSY. LOL. NEXT and final station was biscuit/croissant making. It was equivalent to making Pillsbury dough biscuits but way cooler. They told them ingredients used to make dough, played with flour and made a cup of flour again as before, rolled out dough again, rolled into a small crossaint, buttered it and added spices to it. If there has been time to make it they would have done something for 8 mins I think. Idk what temperature tho. They tried yet another sample. Seriously I can't rave about this place enough. Staff was amazing. The bakers/employees hired are professional to be on TV, super helpful and FUN. They have cooking classes for like $30/kid or $99 for monthly classes I think she said. Not sure of exactly details but that's what I gathered. Take your kids there, you won't regret it and your kids will love it!!!!

Coach Lyndsay was just great handling that and never treating her differently. I actually would have signed her up again just because it was a good experience for her and I trusted the coach. However, I would not recommend this place. Something is wrong with the owner or CEO or whatever. Maybe she was going through a traumatic time or something, but I've heard from others that she's just judgmental and antisocial but downright hateful. I experienced it firsthand. I won't go back there or recommend the place.

The have only given families ONE option: enroll from June 8 - July 25th. No credits will overflow into the fall schedules. ROG has not responded to my emails or messages asking to discuss this matter. I'm not asking for a refund; I don't feel comfortable sending my child until there's more certainty. As a family, we had other obligations this summer; we only enroll our kids in extracurriculars during the school year. This is the way my family budget is set. I understand nothing is perfect; however, they should have a better understanding. I asked how they would rectify this issue... NO response. I wanted to at least have a conversation about possible options. Ideally I'd prefer to send my child back during the school year - assuming everything is moving forward. Again, I'm not asking for a refund, I just want more time to decide what best for my family. It's very unprofessional for them to tell us what we have to do and if you can't it's my loss! I've paid for a service, the servicer changed the agreed service date and then refused to give options for a future class. I don't wish ill on them or to see them tank... just wanted them to be fair.
