I recently used John Leonard to look for a new job. I worked with Jennifer Kuchy and also sometimes with her colleague Rob. Both of them were very friendly at all times. Though it was the summer and a lot of people in the firms were taking vacations, I always felt like they were on top of things and looking out for me. They also always kept in contact with me. They set up two interviews for me with very prominent firms in the Boston/Cambridge area. Jennifer was always great at calling me beforehand and after. She also had great tips for the interviews as well. And she always had my back for anything I requested and made it easy for me with setting up the interviews and second interviews. I think this is a great and professional staffing company and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a job placement agency. Although I ended up getting a job through a friend's recommendation, Jennifer was always highly supportive of me and making sure I made the right decision for ME. She never pressured me not to take it even when she knew that I could get a job that she would not be credited for. She wished me the best of luck and was friendly all the way to the end. That goes a long way in my book because she could have been rude or just not contacted me at all after I got the other job. She was always professional and very friendly. I have over 9 years of Recruiting exp. and over 5 years of agency staffing exp. I was recently laid off from a corporate recruiting position and am new to the Boston area so I decided to do go to an agency for help with my employment search. When I went to my interview with John Leonard I met with Jennifer D. She was very thorough in the questions that she asked regarding my backround and asked alot of open ended questions. She was patient and was geniually interested in what I had to say. You can tell that Jennifer is very enthusiastic and loves what she does. I did not feel rushed or like a number. The testing that they choose to give is a good determination of ones skill set. I met with serveral people in the office and everyone seemed very proffesional and seemed proud to be representing John Leonard. Every one that I spoke to has been with the company at least 4 years or more. That is an excellent sign. Two days later Jennifer called me with my first assignment. After working with them, I can affirm that they are a professional team that truly wants their job-seekers to succeed. I have absolutely nothing but the utmost respect for the John Leonard Agency, especially Rob Harvie. I sent my resume in on a Thursday, was called on Friday, had a meeting with Rob on Tuesday along with taking some performance tests. Within two weeks of my meeting with Rob, I had interviews and many calls (as my parameters were a little difficult to reach). I had an offer from one of the positions which I absolutely found to be a perfect fit for what I have been looking for. John Leonard is truly as good as it gets! John Leonard has really helped me out in finding a job right away. They work really hard in what they do and they do it right. I went in for an interview, took a couple of tests, and met with Jenifer Delucia. She is great by the way, she made feel like i can really trust her in finding the right job for me. Well...I have contacted a lot of agencies during my hunt for a controller position recently. Not only was I not satisfied but I was wondering how these companies stay in business. I got called from someone at John Leonard and I was hesitant at first but she seemed really nice so I said why not. Well, my perception has changed, well for this company. They really had there stuff together and were not only very friendly but very informative and honest. I had three interviews in two weeks with three different companies and each company I met with had nothing but nice things to say about this company. I was hesitant to register with another agency, but I saw a John Leonard ad on craigslist, and sent my resume in. They called me right away and everyone in the office was so friendly. They made me feel like they were genuinely interested in what I wanted to do for a living. My rep already had a few jobs in mind for me during our interview, and they actually got me an interview with one of their clients! She really seemed to know what she was doing, and they seem to have a good rapport with their clients and a good understanding of how to find the right jobs for people. JOHN LEONARD is virtually one of the worst staffing agencies I have ever been to! From when you walk into John Leonard you are greeted by a girl who hates her job and is completely miserable. Then, once you actually meet with a staffing consultant they just waste your time and try to offer you a job making $9.00 a hour. You're actually better off going on craigslist looking for a job! I found much better results going to the other staffing agencies in the area. (KFN&T, Robert Half, Winter Wyman, fanning and Beacon Hill Staffing) Finally, you should ONLY go to John Leonard if you like to waste your own time. i absolutely hate working with placement agencies. they call because they see your resume and then tell you that you'd be 'perfect' for the 'billing coordinator' position they have available........... i'm sorry........did you even read my resume???? He was extremely helpful, honest and seemed genuinely concerned about finding me a job I would be happy with. He calls or emails you constantly with updates or just to check in. HORRIBLE, horrible experience with John Leonard. Just read all the other poor reviews. They are so, so true and all the good reviews are probably people that work there. Stay FAR away from this agency. They will not get you any work. You are much better of going to the other staffing agencies in the area. I called them looking for work, they brought me into their office the next morning and then that afternoon they called me to place me at a job the following day. It does not get better than that.
