I probably owe Megan my life due to the condition I arrived in after being advised by the admissions coordinator, "Gabriel," to keep drinking during my trip to The Ohana to "maintain" instead of seeking medical treatment before arrival. The facility itself is definitely beautiful, but there were a lot of promises made by "Gabriel" that simply were not true once I arrived. There is no doctor on site. You're lucky if you see a therapist for even two hours a week. Most of the activity equipment is run down, unusable, or honestly dangerous. Activities are not what they advertise at all you're lucky to do two a week. You're promised snacks and drinks stocked in the fridge, but they are often non-existent, which leaves guests uneasy during already difficult times. Because of the massive amount of downtime they provide, clients like myself are forced to order our own entertainment , sports equipment, from DoorDash or elsewhere. Then when you do decide to order something, it can take days to get approved by "higher ups." For example, I tried ordering a basic hoodie and shorts and had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for approval. I'm not sure who runs this place above the staff members I mentioned, but I honestly feel sorry for them because they seem to have zero authority to make their own decisions despite being the people actually helping clients every day. There's much more I'm probably forgetting, but I'm just trying to write an honest review to warn people and help them make an informed decision before choosing this facility. Someone like myself that's doing self pay for 40+ thousand dollars this facility is absolutely not worth the money.

I have two therapist that were in practice with Nancy at the time that confirm my account. I have reached out to the Executive Director telling all the facts including names contact information. She for what ever reason has chosen to do nothing. So be forewarned that obviously you the client are not their first priority nor are you safe.
