But when I get better a week later, call and try to let them change the battery, they said they can't because they only offer 3 days "warranty" And they said game cannot save is not defective, seriously? Also they said they "will" change it if they have any battery, but they don't, and they WILL NOT order any battery. Because they said they have to "order thousands of battery" If they do not have any battery, and not willing to order any, that probably means all of their old gameboy games are defective. They have really bad attitude and yelled at me, so I told him I'll record this call. Then he said record this call is illegal and hang up to me. But by CANADA LAW it's legal to record the call if I tell the person I'll record it. They are making their own law LOL

The owners help with difficult to order items. The shop hosts many geek community events like card night and games. They take part in the annual comic shop crossover which promotes local geek culture. The owners are also part of the organizing committee that runs Forest City Comicon which is a wonderful and welcome edition to the London festival and convention scene. The store is very well laid out and organized. They also take part in a loyalty program called Vicinity which many other shops also take part in so less rewards cards in your wallet. Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport (multiple routes). A great spot to buy all things nerdy and geeky!

As a fan of Pokémon myself I know how expensive the hobby has become and how little is available due to scalpers clearing everywhere out. Luckily the man working let us know that they were trying to combat this with charging retail price for their cards unlike most places that mark them up by absurd prices. We then were able to actually purchase some packs and my nephew was ecstatic! It's places like this with employees who seem to actually care that keep my faith alive when it comes to this hobby. To be honest, I dislike going to EB Games now, since like 75% of their stores are just POP figures and merchandise, and they only sell the newest games with a sad selection of used games, nothing for older consoles, and an almost non-existent selection of DS/3DS games. But I always depend on Microplay to have a new, lesser known game I want in stock. They also have games for older consoles like N64, PS, PS2, and GC, and sometimes have cheaper prices on brand new games compared to other video game stores. Even if there's other game stores nearby, I always go out of my way to buy a game I want at Microplay, cause I REALLY don't want them to ever close down!

When I said they must be struggling, she denied it and said he had to make sure they had enough money for their rent, blah blah blah ... they're struggling. Not worth it for the paltry sum I'd probably get.
