Your local invisalign dealer…read more Experts in trying to upsale you something you didn't ask for. I have been going for a while now. It's been atleast 4 years maybe 5 years. Here is my primary complaint: Go there for a specific reason, towards the end of your visit they send you a sales person with a "Care Plan". They convinced me to buy an inivisalign mouth guard one time. Then the next visit they tried to sell me invisalign for 3 grand under the false pretense that it would help me with failing fillings. Today I came in because I have filling that failed. They claim they didn't do this filling. They want to charge me a diagnostic fee on top of the cost of redoing the filling that failed. Mind you they definitely caused it in the first place. They were also trying to bill me for a diagnostic that didn't happen. They tried to sell me insurance that would cost $750 for the first year that includes x rays and 2 cleanings and 15% off additional care. Mind you 2 cleanings is like a $200 value and x-rays should mostly be declined anyway. I asked them to remove the extra $130 charge. They offered 30% off the 130. I told them to take the $130 off and $50 xray. Then they tried to wait me out. So I left. I am starting to feel like this place is more like an auto dealership the way its run. I am done being a bank for these guys. The owner is a penny pinching cheapskate. They even tried to phase out validating parking for a few months and tried to blame it on the owner of the property. If you don't care about being overcharged the dentist is fine. But if you have a problem with additional suprise surcharges popping up then you might want to avoid this place. The problem is they do things that break the trust. Watch out for the sales person at your next visit. And you will see exactly what I am talking about. I highly appreciated their efforts, The practice requires payment at the time of treatment that is fine, they do submit the insurance, the funds are then sent from the carrier to the patient. The receptionist is not very friendly in fact you feel that she disrespects you, unfortunately as I came to experience, the practice will not acknowledge any blame for their wrongdoing. I had summited all my insurance information after my consultation and after 4 months I decided to place a call to the insurance co.to ask when I could expect payment, I was informed that payment had been made and sent to the Draper practice on November 23rd 2022. I phoned and was told that several steps had to happen before the funds were available, I was very frustrated and demanded immediate action. Next I received a viscous, hateful letter, ( no apology,) from the Draper practice. Dr Draper lied when confronted ,denying the length of time stated by the insurance co. instead of 4 months she estimated it was only one. Dr Draper was by this time at screaming pitch disavowing any misconduct and threatening me with legal action if I were ever to contact her practice again. I contacted the ins co. once more and relaid the awful experience I had just received, like myself they were stunned and verified the same information, payment had been sent to the dentist 4 months ago. Dr Curtlin made my nerve wrecking experience easy and effortlessly created a great environment for me to relax and provided a clear understanding of what was happening, why it was happening, and what we need to do to stay safe during & after care. Never in my life has a dentist made me feel comfortable enough to hum through a tooth extraction. I mean she carried the tunes with me, checked in on me after every line of the song, and still carried out a full tooth extraction without missing a beat! I think I even heard her sing to the dental assistant to drain the site AND I LOVED IT! She communicated with me the entire time, telling me to make sure I tell her if I feel any pain vs pressure, paused if she didn't understand what I was saying even if it was something as simple as you both are doing great because at that point they weren't just my cheer squad, I was theirs! I cannot remember the name of the person who was taking care of the x-ray, but I was consistently asked and checked up upon to make sure that I was comfortable and feeling my best. Next, Leah, the hygienist, came in and polished my teeth and did it with precision, the amount of detail that went into her work definitely shows and I want to make sure that she receives recognition for that.
