Before leaving for a long drive we stopped here for a quick bite to eat it because this is our sons favorite pizza place. The food took a little long to come out but it tasted better than the last location we tried. We ordered the medium size pizza with pineapple and pepperoni and this time I could taste the sauce and meat and it was actually good! The bread was not overpowering. I am a mother of 3 kids they got 1 pizza and me and my husband got one pizza. they took over 1 hour to give me 2 pizzas 2 PIZZAS. it's outrageous 14$ it's to much I'm on a budget for a new house. It's been years since I have eaten at the Bastrop, La Johnnys pizza and disappointed is an understatement. I remember the service being great and the people being friendly and it is so far from that!! The staff was so rude. The place was dirty! The food was ok. We will definitely drive 30 minutes up the road for the next time we want Johnnys pizza. read more

This is of course a staple of the Northeast Louisiana area. As a kid was not as big a fan as I am as an adult. Whenever I am back in town I am just about guaranteed to visit here before I leave the area. The pizza has a distinct taste and flavoring. It's not an Italian flavor to this pizza but uniquely delicious. The cheese bread here is my favorite. I always get the cheese dipping sauce, I'm not sure if out of preference or ritual lol. Marinara sauce is passable. Love the Mardi Gras time as it's the only time the Sweep the Swamp specialty pizza and King Cake themes cinnamon sticks are available. read more

I love love love Johnny's! This location is decent. The food is always hot, but the toppings/ fillings are always lacking. I ordered a pepproni flip yesterday and it was not very feeling, and it was cooked very lightly. If yhry could improve on that, i would have no compliants. I grew up in this small area of Louisiana which makes the BEST PIZZA EVER. I didn't realize what i was missing until I left the Dirty South and headed to the Wild Wild West. The pizza starts off with a thin crust and great pizza sauce. Next, there are layers of 100% Real Mozzarella Cheese along with your choice of toppings. A classic and probably everyone's favorite is the SWEEP THE KITCHEN. The standard toppings are Pepperoni, Sausage, Hamburger, Onions, Bell Peppers, Canadian Bacon/Ham, Black Olives, Jalapeños, Anchovies, and Mushrooms. A seasonal specialty (around January - June) is the SWEEP THE SWAMP. This delight is topped with a fabulous combination of spicy, tender crawfish, shrimp, andouille sausage, taste of crab, bell peppers, onions, and jalapeños! They have added more pizzas to the menu since my time away from home. Their appetizers include breadsticks (w/wo cheese) and chicken wings. Pizza options are Vegetarian, Hawaiian, Meat Plus, Cheeseburger, and various Chicken choices. The Muffulettas and Flips (calzones) are great too. Johnny's offer many coupons and deals when it comes to tasting their pizza. You can order online, pick-up, delivery or just go there for lunch and try their buffet (salad bar included). Make sure you try their desserts and add a beer to your order. This restaurant has been a staple in the town since I was a kid. Eating from here has become frustrating and disappointing. Every 4 out of 5 visits have result in either a refund or having the pizza remade. The employees have zero care in providing good service anymore and the manager only offers the standard apology yet has not done anything to improve customer service. I love Johnny's but at this point I can no longer support my local establishment. read more

This is for the Bastrop location. I've eaten at Johnny's since I was a kid. I love it. However, the Bastrop location has gone downhill on the quality of the service and the food. It's hit or miss on whether the crust is rubbery and tasteless or mediocre. The Johnny's on Desiard is still the best to me. Bastrop needs to Up their game. read more

Been about 6 mths since we ate here, due to getting burnt pizza, my wife warned me, don't do it. But I ordered a large single topping pizza, when I got there, 5 mins early for pickup. The guy told me that they had given my pizza to someone else and that they would give me a free 2 liter if I wanted to reorder. I told him no and that I would buy something elsewhere. This Johnnys location used to be the bomb, but over the the last 5 years it has really taken a dump. Needs new management bad, they suck. Will not suggest this place to no one now. read more

It had been 25 years since the last time I was in a Johnny's Pizza. During early college, my friends and I spent many nights in the original Johnny's across the street from ULM (then Northeast), scarfing sweep-the-kitchen pizzas, drinking beer and playing pinball. Well, I wish Johnny's would put a franchise in New Orleans. The pizza was just as I remembered it, a crispy crust with some tooth, delicious marinara sauce and tasty toppings. I've had great pizza in several cities and Johnny's really holds it own. Its not NY or Boston or Chicago style but is every bit their equal. Wish I had one right now. read more

Terrible service. Ordered 2 pizzas online and the website messed up the order. They said they are not responsible for the order. I paid 30 dollars for 2 pizzas. One was supposed to be thick crust with pepperoni and jalapenos. It came with only jalapenos and thin crust. The second pizza was supposed to have pepperoni ham and jalapenos. It only had ham. I asked to speak to the manager when they said they weren't responsible. The manager got rude with me and wouldn't give me his name. All he said was my name was kaaa. I will be disputing my charges on my card and never eating there again. This has happened 4 or 5 times before and the previous manager always fixed it. The new management need to go elsewhere and I'll consider eating there again. read more

When someone says "pizza" in Louisiana, this is the first place you think of. They now have a location in Addison, TX as well. 2 things to try are the Kajun Pizza, and the Sweep the Kitchen pizza. read more

The staff here... wow. Place was trashy, tables nasty, food and napkins on the floor. Employees gathered around the TV in the dining area. To go boxes literally stacked on top of every table and booth in one corner of the dining section. This was on a Saturday night at around 8:30 pm. Pizza was brought out to the table, not a word was said from the employee, he just laid it on the table and walked off. Had to walk back up to them and ask for a plate as he was yelling across the restaurant to the other employees watching the tv. Needless to say, won't be back. This place is a joke and that's a shame because it used to be a good place to go. read more

I absolutely have always loved Johnny's pizza! I now live in Texas and make it a point to eat here at least twice during my visits home. Tonight we ordered one large pepperoni one large cheese One large order of cheese sticks with extra pizza sauce (4 total) three orders of breadsticks all with cheese sauce. It took them 55 minutes to complete the order and after driving all the way back to log cabin there is no pizza sauce at all! I called and spoke with the manager who apologizes and tells me don't worry about it when you get here the pizza sauce is free! It took three times to explain to her she was not giving me anything I had already paid for the sauce. When I arrived to pick up the sauce staff was extremely rude! I will not ever go back to this location looks like I'll eat Johnny's in Monroe on the way in and on the way out! read more
