Sat at the bar for 10 min and nobody asked me if I needed anything. I saw three servers talking in the corner and not helping at all. All while the management did the same thing, didn't know managements job was to just do nothing. Only one bartender, nobody helping her out. We rolled into Monroe late on a Sunday evening and had the most amazing experience at Flying Heart Brewing and Pub. Ate on the patio with our pup. Yummy pizza, amazing wings (buffalo style), Caesar salad (with chicken). Our server Kennedy was adorable and provided excellent customer service. I visited Flying Heart while looking for local breweries. This is a nice, spacious place with lots of space to get together with friends or stop in for a drink yourself, with bar and table space. There's plenty of convenient street parking in the area. The bartender was very nice, and she gave me some great recommendations and samples. I enjoyed trying the straw-wrecker, but it was just a little sweet for me. I ordered the Six of Hearts, which I really enjoyed. I also ordered the Caesar salad, which was really good! We love this place. The food is exceptional and the staff is amazing as well. Cool chic dining experience. You can watch the game or just hang out. The food was fine, but we paid for dueling pianos and got a rock band so loud we were unable to stay in the room. We were totally unable to talk to the friends we had come to meet. What a stellar pub! Just so pleased all around from their cheerful, kind, and thoughtful staff, to top-notch fresh & filling made-to-order pizza w/ an ice-cold brew (this place is a slice of heaven)! The atmosphere has a nice mix of modern-industrial chill-traditional feel, spacious, upbeat music; generally it had a fun energetic vibe. Ordered some pretzel bites to share, a build your own pizza & a to-go growler. Was too full for sweets (had leftovers which is a bonus); but their advertised dessert special looked delicious (some sort of St Patty's/Shamrock/Leprechaun waffle), totally worth going back to tryout their new-limited items! Stopped in for dinner while passing through town and were really glad we did. Great beer selection--Daywrecker was a standout! We tried the Birria Pizza and it was absolutely delicious--packed with flavor and cooked just right. Service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast. We stopped off on our way through town. The place has a BBQ joint kind of feel from the outside. Inside were lots of tables as well as a full bar. The hostess was a bit frazzled because there was an event in town and it was busier than usual. After a short 10 min wait we were seated. Our server was the epitome of Southern Sweet. She was very polite and attentive. She took our drink orders and then left us to discuss the menu. My wife and I were feeding ourselves and our 2 boys, 15 yr and 9 yr. We settled on 3 pizzas, a margarita, a 3 meat and a Hawaiian. It was just right for us as we brought 2 pcs for the ride back to TX. The pizza was good, not excellent. The beer was excellent and I wish I was staying in town so I could've had a second! They did offer Growlers. Had an amazing experience here. Since the thing, we all have a laundry list of poor dinning. This was almost shocking. Preslee our server was everything you'd want. Smart, engaging, knowledgeable on the food and beer with good suggestions. Cheese bread (recommended} was tastey and appreciate it being thin so you have room for food. Wings and pizza was terrific. My wife is highly critical of chicken, one of the flavors wasn't her favorite but still the best cooked wings she's had. I had the Fogehtaboudit pizza. I can't remember if it was sausage or meatballs, or maybe both? Freaking good. And I'm someone officially tired of pizza where the toppings slide right off the crush. Even with it's thin crust and huge topping and quarter pie sized slices, you could pick it up and it defied logic that is stayed together. Had the Louisiana Lager and Dark Heart beers. Very solid. I rated both 4 or higher on untapped. The only bad thing I have to say it at over 2000 miles away, I can come here all the time. read more

Been coming here for 3 years . This is the first visit that I'm extremely disappointed in the staff . Especially the bar staff Kacee . Young girl busy on FaceTime, while she makes drinks . Very poor service . We had our pizza for over 10 minutes and had to reach over and grab our own plates and napkins . Pizza was cold by that time . Something has changed here .
