What I'm writing about is to echo the absolutely unacceptable way this attendant has treated not just me, but multiple other people. As soon as I was done filling up, I moved out of the way of the pumps, parked by the side of the station so I could plug in the directions to my GPS, this woman comes up to me and tells me I need to leave! I explained what I was doing, and she tells me she doesn't care, I have no reason to be here and leave! I was like wtf! How can she honestly tell a PAYING CUSTOMER to leave? I wasn't loitering, I was preparing to leave!! So you mean to tell me that not a single driver can take a quick break from driving at a public station? Or what if someone's vehicle has a check engine line or some kind of emergency? Can you pull over here? Think again. Cause this old, fat bitch is gonna be the first to give you the boot out! I read another review where she accused someone of vacuuming for an hour? Like really? She's going to keep tabs on something like that? No. The reality is that this woman who has nothing better going on for her life thinks she has power by driving away customers and business. She has zero hospitality skills, zero people skills, and I can only imagine her abilities to balance her till and how well inventory is kept. If you're still reading this, I advise you to get your gas elsewhere, especially if she is working the shift here. Lady was extremely rude! She yelled @ me for no reason. I kept asking her why there was a need for her to raise her voice at me and treat me with such disrespect! I tried explaining that I backed-up my car because I was instructed to do so- but she was was not hearing me. Only yelling! If she is the owner, she needs to adjust her attitude and learn to treat others with respect. A one-on-one on how to treat costumers would be ideal and a basic how to interact with others/costumers 101 would suffice. If she's an employee, they either need to have a talk with her or fire her. She is definitely not there to provide "costumer service" nor does she understand the meaning of it. When I inquired about her employee badge she she said she didn't have one, I asked her for her name and she declined to provide. There was a line of people behind me, staring @ her whom were also trying to understand why she was yelling. They apologized for her behavior and while this was appreciated and welcomed, It definitely needed to come from her. read more

Within seconds of being parked in a empty gas station I was harassed about taking too long. I gathered my money went to pay for what I wanted and was discriminated after giving my ID when asked. Johnny's Shell is conveniently located on the road connecting a bunch of the Airport Hotels to SFO. Stopped in here to gas up the rental car last Thursday evening before returning the car to Hertz. Swiped at the pump, gassed up - BUT the pump failed to dispense my receipt. Instead it displayed a message that I needed to obtain the receipt from the station attendant. Which I did. read more

I haven't even parked here for more than 6 minutes takes 5 minutes to air up my tires. the lady came up to me and said no loitering leave now! One of the best automated car washes in the area! My car comes out pretty clean for being machine washed. My only complaint is the wait for the car wash can be lengthy- but that just means the car wash works well! Gas prices are fair. There is a small enclosed booth that's not accessible to speak to the service agent on duty. You can get small snacks and supplies but that's about it. read more

Had a very threatening incounter at this station today at 830am. A middle aged guy with a limp working there used uncalled for expletives and ensued physical threats. All because the windshield cleaner I was using created dripped water on the concrete floors. I will definitely file a complaint with Shell, the BBB and any other forums I can find. $10 drive thru car wash is great right off the freeway, but it is NOT worth having to interact with the rude abrasive cashier to get a code. I rarely if ever write about customer service issues but my experience last week at a Shell Station in South San Francisco (248 So Airport Blvd, South San Francisco 94080) was so bad, I can help but write this note. The issue is that I filled up with gas and then decided to get a car wash. I waited in line and entered my code when ready and then entered the car wash. It was a bit confusing as to how far to enter the car wash and I accidentally went a bit far and the car wash stopped. The attendant at the service station then came over and, instead of helping me, he started yelling at me, made a throat slash gesture, and refused to give me a refund or give me another run through the car wash. He just printed out the car wash receipt, which showed it was used up, and told me not to come back. So not only did I pay $7.00 for a car wash I didn't receive, but I was pretty shaken up and it pretty much ruined my day that anyone could be that rude and obnoxious in a customer service role. I don't know his name but he was the only one working at the station today which is Sunday, 1/26/14. It's not about the $7.00. It's about the unacceptable behavior of this man. They don't sell water or any drinks at night. The staff diva in the kiosk was unusually abrasive and passionately defensive when I pointed out it's a poor business decision to showcase drinks visually but not sell them. What a thorny avalanche of a lady. I suggest the bright owner of this place puts a tiny fridge inside the kiosk and sells drinks. Especially when there's a massive locked cooler with luminously lit drinks rich next to the kiosk. Hopefully this review will also prompt a diva mitigation training for the night lady. I've come here regularly for a car wash. I've been on vacation for 2 weeks and my car needed a good washing. I paid the usual $8 but received no soap this time and the car not fully dried. I pulled up to the cashier window to complain. In the meantime Idiscovered micro scratches from the swirling bands and the lack of soap. The woman gave me a very hard time. Saying no one ever complained about the soap (based in previous reviews, this is a very common complaint!). She spoke to another guy who whined that he checked the soap the day before. The soap is "clear" and "doesn't foam" he says. I reiterated that I come here often enough to know that's not true. I demanded my money back. She said "I'm going to give you your money but I'm going to ask you not to return here." Say what?!! Not a problem, lady, and here's my review on Yelp for your generosity! read more

Short story: Hands down the most friendly and convenient gas station for rental car returns to SFO. Long story: I went to fill up my rental car with gas on a stressful Monday. Got out of the car and shut the door to hear the car lock behind m Enter panic attack here. Everything but my wallet was in there. I quickly jogged over to the attendant who was more than willing to help! He even had someone drive me over to Hertz so they could help me since I rented from there. After being informed by Hertz that the Yukon had Onstar I jogged back to the gas station where the attendant quickly obliged my second request for the phone. After all was said and done I lost about 35 mins of my morning. Not bad at all. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Boy do I owe the universe a huge favor! read more

Gas is around 40 cents higher than anywhere else. The car wash.... gosh.. leaves residue on my car like grease or something that sticks hard and took me an hour to remove only some of it and I finally gave up. It could be from the dirty rags on the machine or could it be hitting the wheels and then hit that on the body and it sticks there... also after the wash, the car still looks pretty... dirty... will think twice to use it again. read more

Pretty expansive as all the other Shells around. I usually come here to air up my tires but for the last 5 times I've come here, the PSi measuring thing has not been working. I've also purchased the car washing $10 and it is terrible. It only shoots water. It rarely shoots any soap. I also leave with my wheels really dirty. Not worth it. Go to the Chevron in daly city. Faulty car wash. The sensitive tripped wrong and it stopped partway. The attendant accused me if moving my car when I did not and I had to go through again. The second time the red and green light alternated as if it did not know what to do. I had to inch carefully for it to he a add olid red. The worst Shell ever! Guy at the counter is named Edgar and yelled at me on a rainy day for cleaning my windshield. He was screaming at me to get a carwash even if it was pouring rain pretty hard. I get carwashes here all the time and the screaming and insults were unnecessary. Owner, are you aware that you have such a bad employee? Is this how you train your employees?
