Awful experience. Homeowner is 82 year old female. Delivery people left refrigerator doors off balance, ice maker upside down in freezer and left over screws on top of refrigerator. Said it is not their job to make sure appliance is level. Will never go back. read more

We went in to shop around, knowing what we wanted. We found the salesman Randy to be rude and pushy, even spoke over us telling us "I know what you want!" "You won't get any better prices anywhere or get your delivery faster anywhere." We eagerly left, and went right over to Lowe's, we're treated with respect and purchased exactly what we wanted for a better price, AND our appliances will be delivered in three days! Randy from John's appliances said delivery from them for a new fridge would be 45 days! Choose wisely where you spend your hard earned money. read more

Terrible service! I went in today with cash, to buy a washer! It was 9:03 ( they open at 9). I told him I was looking for a washer but I had to use the bathroom first. The employee said to me that's fine and pointed to where it was. He then said he had just opened and he wasn't even ready yet. (The sign said 9:00 am)! 15 seconds later I'm out and looking at washers. I asked the employee when would be the earliest delivery? He rudely answered "I just got here, I don't come in before 9, I will let you know when I know"! I said "oh wow, I'll just look around then"! About 5 minutes later with absolutely no help whatsoever, I walked out! I own a business and if one of my employees treated someone like this..... they would absolutely be talked to. Went to Pioneer and bought an amazing washer! Great service there! read more

My old dishwasher died and I needed a new one as a tenant was coming on Sunday. Of course this happens on a Saturday afternoon! Home Depot was of no help... said it would be 5 days before one could even be delivered to the store. One call to John's and not only did they have the dishwasher in stock, but they arranged for installation the same day on a Saturday afternoon. Amazing, friendly service that you only get from a local business. Now I'm a client for life. Thanks!! read more

Let me start this review by saying I prefer to shop local and when possible I avoid the big box stores and shop at these types of places even if they are considered a chain appliance store, they still have somewhat of that home town appeal. I have been here several times and the staff has always been very friendly and the prices are somewhat competitive - this particular visit I was looking for a gas range not that I was actually ready to purchase one but find that I'm more in the investigation stage so I wanted to see what's available and what has changed in the industry being it has been a number of years since I purchased my last range. The showroom here is quite impressive however the number of gas ranges on display was somewhat disappointing, there were actually only two units available to look at and neither were anything that interested me, the salesperson did offer to provide me with all the literature available on a host of out of stock appliances. He guided me to the adjacent showroom that was filled with scratch and dent models, the number of appliances in this room was unbelievable but still I found nothing that I would purchase. After seeing the number of damaged items it actually has given me second thoughts on how the merchandise is handled here after the sale making me curious as to where all this damage is taking place. Although the selection was disappointing the sales person made every effort to assist me and answered all of my questions and made me aware that practically any brand they offer could be ordered in which is true of any retail outlet including Amazon but for this type of purchase I would really like to see it and touch it before making this large of an investment so I guess the search will continue... read more

I did business with John's Appliances because I wanted to support local businesses. However, John's has four locations, and is managed by professional managers rather than Mom and Pop management. I could have bought my major appliance from Lowe's at the same price and Lowe's has a 30 day return policy. My GE appliance turned out to be defective when delivered. When I discovered the defect I reported the defect to GE and requested a new replacement, and that is when I learned that John's would not let me return the product and that GE could not test the product per Underwriter Laboratories test procedures. I feel that I received zero support and assistance from John's. It took a long time for me to convince GE customer relations that their appliance did not meet Underwriter Lab specifications and lacked merchantability. I had to pay for an outside service to test the product using my Lodge cast iron skillet and I paid for a laser temperature reader. Test results: This product failed the Underwriter's test. GE finally replaced the product, but guess what? This product is also defective. From now on I will purchase all major appliances from Lowe's (local Home Depot Stores will not accept returns). I just took delivery of a KichenAid refrigerator from Lowe's and all is good. read more

Do not buy a Bosch refrigerator. When it defrost it makes a knocking noise. Sometimes it defrosts twice a day. Very annoying!! Also the ice maker does not hold a lot of ice. You need to store in the freezer section. read more

John is the King of Bait and Switch. You order one thing and get some substandard POS in place of it. He has used his experience to come up with some of the most interesting sales tactics and excuses I have ever heard. But, and the end of the yap, you are still SOL. BUYER BEWARE. read more

I purchased a dishwasher from John's in New Smyrna Beach, FL. All interactions with the staff were fantastic. I knew which dishwasher I wanted, so the purchase was very easy. John O. did a great job explaining the optional warranty, the delivery and installation. He provided a delivery date. On that date, and 2 hours earlier than expected, the dishwasher was installed. The installation team did a great job. They removed the old dishwasher, installed the new one, cleaned up the kitchen, and took all the packaging and old dishwasher with them. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and my experience with John's Appliance & Bedding staff. John's will be the first place I look for an appliance package when I eventually remodel the kitchen. read more

Lots of appliance choices but terrible on being able to deliver. The sales people promise delivery dates they can't meet and point fingers at everyone else. They also promise return calls with answers to delivery questions but don't call. I had to constantly chase them for the status on my fridge and dishwasher. Their pricing was OK but I should have gone to another seller after the first frustrating round of phone calls and visits. read more

Not to happy with their service. The technician wasn't really sure what was wrong with my dishwasher. Then the amount was almost the same as buying a brand new dishwasher. At first I agreed and then spoke with my husband and we decided to buy a brand new one. I called John's Appliance back and told them that we changed our minds and not to cash the almost $300.00 check. I looked at our account today and noticed that they went ahead and cashed it. Well I guess that instead of communicating with each other and paying attention to notes on accounts. I've been in customer service and that doesn't fly. I called them and now in 5-7 business days we will get the balance minus the $79.95 for the service call. Go figure. How bout we pay attention to notes! read more
