Pick 2 meat (turkey, pulled pork) with coleslaw and baked beans. YUM! Perfectly seasoned

Fast, friendly, and worth every penny! Pulled off here during a cross country road trip today and it was SUCH a better experience and meal than any highway fast food could ever be. GO HERE! Show these BBQ masters some love, the people running the place are delightful. Plus, it's undoubtedly delicious, if that wasn't already obvious Thank you to the staff and fellow patrons for their kindness as I waited for my to-go order! If I'm ever passing through again I will DEFINITELY be back.

First time to stop. Pass by here frequently on my way to Eufaula and finally tried out the BBQ. It is really good!! They give you a sampler boat of the meats to try before you buy. The turkey was awesome, as well as the burnt ends, pulled pork and hot links! The hot links are HOT! Ribs were already sold out. Going to call ahead next time to reserve a slab of ribs. John was so nice and friendly too! I enjoyed talking to him a lot! I'm going to eventually try everything on the menu, it is that good! If you ever pass by this way, stop and get some of the best BBQ ever from John! He's located right next to the Love's off I-40! You will be glad you did!

the food was great! authentic Oklahoma cookin. John the owner was very personable and made sure I was all taken care of. he was excited to tell me about his 3 rack smokehouse where he smokes the meat for 8-10 hours. small restaurant with seating inside. very home style. highly recommend for passing through lunch or dinner like myself today. thanks John

    Outside. Hmmm this looks good.

Decided to check out John's while we were fueling up across the street. Y'all need to stop in and talk to Ken about getting some BBQ. We got a brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and a side of coleslaw. Brisket was amazing. Now this pains me to say, being an Eastern Carolina BBQ GUY, but John's pulled pork may be the best I have ever had. Please do me a favor and bring a few dollars in cash for a tip. All I had was a credit card. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Driving down the road, we checked the app iExit to see what was ahead. We were pulling a 31' Airstream, so we needed it to be convenient and most of all worth pulling over for. I telephoned ahead and the owner directed me on the best place to park. Believe me, it was with pulling over for! I had sliced brisket & pork tenderloin, while my husband had the sliced Turkey & pulled pork. We got to taste his hot links and if you like a touch of fire, these hot links will keep you wanting more. You can just take it to go on the way to the lake, or eat in, like we did. The company was good and the food was great. Call ahead and tell them your coming. You be glad you stopped.

Wonderful barbecue!! Cooked to perfection. Tastes great. The loaded potato is humongous and the brisket in it was great. The staff is friendly and the place is nice and clean. Will go again for sure!!

The scene: kids are hot in the car and have to use the bathroom, we have an hour left to drive…read moreafter a very long, sticky (if delightful) weekend, and mama is HANGRY. Enter Yelp. My kids know the drill, and now that they are big enough to navigate from the front seat, at least one of the them (depending on the weather, time of day, and level of hangry) is willing to be my PIC. "Mahhm! this place looks good! It's a mile off the highway [well-trained, huh?], and it has all different kinds of barbecue. There are 21 reviews and they're, like, almost all five stars!" Then the naysayer speaks up, wanting a lesson in averages- how can it be five stars if not all the reviews are five stars? Such explanation was just long enough to entertain us before pulling under the covered parking (limited, but it exists!) at Papa's Barbecue. Prices are $$ (but what isn't these days, esp. if we're not doing Mickey D's, which... we're not), and the kids both assure me they will eat their whole sandwich. So we order one for each: S has the (small... i.e., regular size) pulled pork sandwich with a side of fried okra, C has the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fried okra, and I have the (small, i.e., regular size) sliced brisket sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. $26. We enjoyed our wait, as the place (a reno'ed gas station) was cute and clean. I'm not a fan of cutesy- it was not that. It was thoughtfully well-crafted, with the cleanest exterior bathrooms I've ever seen. The kids, during our wait, caught sight of the complimentary ice cream dispenser, and I honestly have no idea how I was able to get out of that one. We took our order to go, after picking up some pickles from the pickle bar, dousing my sandwich in some barbecue sauce on the table, and perusing the everlasting hot sauce bar. I took one bite of my brisket, on a sweet potato (not sweet potato, but sweet, potato) bun, and closed my eyes. It was so tender, so tasty, so worthy of five stars. I don't always eat barbecue, but when I do, I want it to taste like this. I tasted the kids' sandwiches, too, and was glad we all ordered something different. Each sandwich was strong on flavor and clearly the work of someone who figured out how to craft barbecue. While I loved their sandwiches, I think the sliced brisket was my favorite. We'll be back to Papa's. The next time we're in a rush to get out of town, I'm not stopping at Sonic. The next time we're in a rush to have dinner as we arrive from out of town, I'm not stopping at Whole Foods. We're going to Papa's, and we're ALL getting ice cream. And pickles. Not at the same time.

Friendly and attentive staff. The owner was trying a new item and asked me to sample. Great food…read more They care about their customers.

Worth the wait to get their Burnt Ends, Pork Ribs, and Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans!!…read more Butcher BBQ Stand has limited hours (only open Fri/Sat/Sun till 3pm or until sell out!) and when it's open, there is a line of people that want to get food! I ventured out here from Oklahoma City after a couple people recommended me to try this establishment, and I am glad I did! I arrived here at about 10:15am on a Saturday and after it opened at 11am, I was able to order by around 11:45am. While waiting, I enjoyed looking at the interior and was excited for the food! Upon ordering, the person at the desk mentioned to try the pork ribs, and I am glad I did! I had a hefty lunch that included getting Burnt Ends, Pork Ribs, Brisket, Mac & Cheese, and Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans! The main highlights are below: Burnt Ends - Oh boy this had a lot of flavor and was very moist! This was definitely a delight to have. Pork Ribs - The staff was correct in ensuring I tried to Pork Rib. The pork fell right off the bone and was soooooo flavorful! I honestly could have had only pork ribs for my meal and feel 100% satisfied! Apple Pie BBQ Baked Beans - I was VERY surprised at this side. It had the right amount of sweet flavor to it and the taste was very unique. I sometimes do not finish a side of baked beans at the BBQ spot, but at this one, I ate it all! One comment I have for the brisket is that it is not as moist and more on the lean side, which is not as I typically like it, but the staff did indicate to me ahead of time that it is the style they typically prepare it, where people that are fans of more fat and moistness get the burnt ends. I did want to at least try it though since I traveled all the way there! The food that was recommended to me was really memorable and I enjoyed my time at Butcher BBQ Stand!

Brisket Pulled Pork Smoked Turkey Pork Ribs Hot Links and finally... Smoked Baloney. Potato Salad, White Mac and Cheese, Texas Toast, Pickle and Onion. Everything was smoked perfectly - even the baloney, which surprised both of us eating there - and absolutely tender. The meats aren't dripping in sauce which is often used to moisten a bad cook or to disguise poor flavors. Nope. If you want a saucy meal, it's a "self-inflicted wound" in my books, because you're missing out on some great well cooked meat. We didn't go there for side options, so reviewing them isn't the point. I did not see either a Corn Bread or a Biscuit choice which I would have chosen, but took the usual's just to see how they're done at Rustlers. I'm not a banana for dessert fan, that is, until my dinner guest forced me to have some of Rustlers Banana Pudding. I am now a rabid fan of banana's for dessert. Yes, it's that good. Don't keep whistling down the highway at 80+MPH trying to get somewhere faster than you should. Slow down, stop in, and get some well made BBQ. Sure, you're going to have the "meat sweats" once you've had your fill, but it's all well worth it in the end.
