the roast beef is the best sandwich i ever had in my life!!!! i swear by this sandwich no where compares !!

I had seen the menu before that they had the beef patty on certain days or during lunch hours, so I finally ordered lunch. Did not disappoint!

Onions on the side for control :)

The benefit of working with all men is they get the best food delivered for lunch. The worst part is watching them inhale everything as you are likely to gain weight by smelling this stuff alone. What should you order? That shouldn't even be a question on your mind - "Roast beef and muzz" with or without onions and ask for the gravy on the side. Dipping the entire sandwich into the bowl of gravy after every bite is almost mandatory, so now isn't the time to watch the calories. - Potato Croquettes, even when eating like a gavone you need an appetizer and of course this gets dipped in the gravy as well! - Fried Ravioli, and in case you're with some friends share these... Realistically, for $10 bucks you can eat better than royalty. Add a buck to that for a big Arizona iced tea. And maybe add a few bucks to that for the tip in case you choose to get it delivered, if your going to eat like a an obese person may as well be lazy like some of them... *Sidenote: not the same owner as the other Johns Deli that opened in Staten Island's New Dorp area, however both are somehow connected to the original one in Brooklyn*

I traveled 2 hours from Queens, taking 2 subways, the ferrry and a bus to try the roast beef, mutz, gravy and onion sandwich from this place and it was totally worth it. Definitely up there with John's on Stillwell and Fiore's in Hoboken for the best italian roast beef sandwiches in the area. Just be warned if you get there around 2 or 3 on a school day you'll have to fight your way through swarms of kids getting out of school in the area, but it's definitely worth knocking them out of the way, lol.

While visiting my cousin who lives in Staten Island, he suggested we try John's Famous Deli because "they have the best roast beef sandwiches in New York". I am not a big roast beef fan, but i'm always open to trying something new, so why not. The deli is small, and not the most attractive place, but one thing that stands out when entering is the big hunk of cooked roast beef (not cold cut style) on the slicer. The options for ordering a roasting beef sandwich are in roll or hero form - I opted for the roll. I don't believe you have much options for the sandwich but it comes with onions and fresh mozzarella and then they put the sandwich back in the oven to melt the cheese. The final topping and probably the most important ingredient is the sauce they put on in the end. When you look at the sauce in the pan and the guy behind the counter scooping it up, it really looks like tar or a pot of italian coffee..... What to expect when eating the sandwich - the meat is tender, the taste is flavorful and the sauce is awesome.... You gotta try this place! I believe they have 3 locations and 2 of which that are in Brooklyn.

This was our first time and we tried the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich, the KOVA Breakfast, and spicy fries. Most of the time, they end up coming out over easy, so this shows their attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious. We also tried an iced matcha and iced lavender mocha coffee, both of which were very good. The inside of this place is very clean and chic. I also enjoyed the coffee-shop-type background music they play. We are not from the area, but if we are back in the area, we will definitely be stopping by for another visit.

Well, WAS is the key word. My husband gave it 3 star because of the mission of the Cafe, but the food he would give a 2. We ordered the cheese grits bowl for pickup. We got a container of cheese grits- okay but they needed salt and more cheese. A container of scrambled eggs cooked soft like we asked but they also needed salt, and a container with 2 sausage patties (which were flavorless). We also got a side of biscuits. Dry, seemed like the kind in a can- with no butter or honey, just a bunch of ketchup! My husband saw the banana pudding in the mason jar- so he added that to our order. $8. He went back in because he didn't see it. They said it was in a container. He returned and it was in there- in a very tiny container barely filled halfway- looking nothing like the one in the restaurant, and it wasn't that good, the bananas weren't ripe, and still hard. I'm thankful for the mission, so we may give it another try but maybe eating in is the way to go- we won't do takeout again!

I came for a big birthday dinner. All the appetizers were pre-ordered and we got to choose from four entrees (bronzino, chicken, a burger, or salmon). When it comes to large table spreads, some dishes are always better than others. The food was good. I really enjoyed the octopus, charcuterie board, and the burrata (especially the sauce it came with). The middle course was pasta and they gave us a tasting of two. One was a vodka sauce pasta and the other had bolognese. Both good. By the time our entrees arrived I could barely eat another bite. I had the chicken. It was fine, nothing special. I liked the porcini sauce it came with and the mashed potatoes. Since it's a bakery they have a nice selection of sweets. Too bad I had zero room for desserts but people seemed to enjoy the profiteroles. On a Saturday night this tiny restaurant was packed. Another shoutout to the service because they don't have much staff and it's hard managing a party of 20 plus other tables. They did a really nice job.

The service was also excellent--our server was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I also liked that they offer mocktails and allow BYOB for alcohol, which gives you flexibility depending on your preference. Now, just to be real--this place is popular, so expect a wait. It can get crowded and a bit tight inside, especially during peak brunch hours. Parking is also something to plan for since there's limited space (the lot only fits about four cars), so you'll likely need to find street parking. Overall, I definitely recommend Blossom Brunch. The food, vibe, and service are all on point. Honestly, they're doing so well that I hope they expand soon--it's clearly a spot that's in demand and could benefit from more space.
