**UPDATE, added 1-star since he contacted me and refunded $50 the following day after I posted my review** Dylan (owner) is like a sketchy car salesman, does his darndest to get the sale, but once there's issues he's nowhere to be found. Unsurprisingly, as I've read several reviews of such experiences prior to giving him a chance. We were interested in their catering services (sister company, Delish Dish) for our wedding (plated) and scheduled taste testing for 3 ($50PP). We've discussed our menu plan and verified that we would be tasting everything discussed. He shows up without the discussed appetizers and creme brulee, and only brings enough of entree and sides for 2 taste testers, an error at his own admittance. And only after my inquiry did he say he would apply the taste-testing fees towards our total balance once we sign the contract. So, he shows up for the taste testing and suggests we pop the food into the oven for a few minutes as it's gotten cold during transport and turns around to leave. I had several questions and he seemed to stay reluctantly. The whole experience with him is unconventional at best, and grossly unprofessional at the worst. I've read an article about him priding himself on getting the sales, he's very responsive when you're seeking his services and shooting back a quick quote. That is true, he responded very quickly with any questions via text, consistently within 5 minutes. The food was good, but we ended up going with another company that we had more confidence in that was top-tier professional. I extended him the courtesy to notify that we will not be moving forward with the contract and asked him to kindly refund us the $50 for food/service he didn't provide for our 3rd taste tester. Silence. A full week later, I sent another message. No response. I didn't really expect to get the refund, but gave him the benefit of doubt. So, here's your yet another warning if you decide to book his services. I'd say we're lucky we only lost $150 with this experience, and glad we didn't sign the contract. read more

We engaged Barmasters for our wedding, to provide bartending and DJ service. The Price was moderate! We can't complain there. Both the bartender and DJ arrived on time. The DJ was great, but we ended up with some reservations and things could have been done in a better fashion. The bartender was... Absent from his station ~20 percent of the time I went up to the bar. I had to go behind the bar to get my own drinks. I hope his tips reflect his level of attentiveness. All of my anxieties and doubts that formed from Dylan's lack of communication and poor attention to detail along the way of planning were proven at the night of my event. It seemed as if he hired the bartender off of Craigslist at the last hour. I hired a barmasters as to not have to stress and worry about drinks at a party I spent weeks prepping for and a lot of money on. The bartenders poured red wine in the champagne glasses and served cocktails in shot glasses. A guest had asked for a Miller Lite and they responded with "what kind?". Someone asked for a high noon and they gave him a peroni. I emailed Dylan a couple weeks prior to the event the signature cocktail list so the bartender could prepare. However when they had arrived they had never seen the sheet. Therefore, I spent a lot of time before hand during setup going over the signature cocktails and how to make them. Whenever I would approach the bar, the bartender asked me to make the cold brew martini for myself since "I was so good at it and showed her how to make it earlier." At that point, I did, considering she couldn't come close to making a solid drink. While they were setting up they decided to open every single one of the 10 bottles of wine, rather than opening them one by one as guests ordered. They premade the margarita cocktail and poured two entire bottles of tequila, when it only required one, leaving us only one bottle left that ran out within the hour and A GUEST had to run out and purchase another bottle. For every cocktail ordered, they had to look it up on google how to make it, including a rum and Coke. I am highly convinced that the bartenders were actually illiterate. My time and money was extremely wasted by this terrible experience. The lack of vetting vendors is appalling. They do not know at all how to run a business. I contacted Dylan immediately the next day and explained all of the issues we faced and he responded a day or so later letting me know he would give a 50% refund. I then reiterated to him that a 100% refund is the only thing that would suffice. He then agreed to the 100% refund and then immediately ghosted me and never responded. I even Venmo requested him to make it as easy as possible. This company deserves to be shutdown completely. I cannot even imagine if they were hired for a wedding... the day would be completely ruined. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I reported them to the BBB and he immediately texted me back stating I received my refund and then continued to block my number. As you can assume, I would give it 0 stars if I could :) read more

We booked this company for a sweet sixteen party. It was agreed that for a 4hr party they would provide Bar tools, coolers, suggested shopping list, straws, napkins, a portable bar, and 1 hr for setup and clean up. We were told bc it was a sweet sixteen and the majority of our guests were underage, that they would display 3 mocktail options for our guests to choose from. When asked for shopping list for the mocktails, I was given pictures with the recipe and was expected to figure out amounts of supplies based on that. Bartender arrived 1 hour late. Claimed she was late do you traffic even tho our out-town family coming to the party arrived on time. Bartender showed up with NO COOLERS. We had to give her the storage bins we happened to have, for her to attempt to keep drinks cold. The portable bar was a low folding table that the bartender placed a tablecloth over. Which then she proceeded to place all the supplies we provided on to, so the table looked extremely unprofessional and disorganized. Most of our guests would just come up to the table and grab/serve what they needed since it was all on top of the table. Mocktails were never displayed or offered to our guest, wasting all of our time and money spend on supplies. After the party I emailed the person I had been in contact with from the beginning to explain our issues, and he apologized and said he would take off $50 from final payment. Which was not a discount in any way considering that they provided their services for 3 hours instead of the 4 we agreed upon, and also requested that we still pay 20% for tip based on original amount. So please learn from our mistakes, and do not book this company if you have a very formal or large gathering. It is not worth what they charge. read more

This company literally charges customers hundreds of dollars and pays out the actual bartenders 50 dollars .. They let the customers choose to not add a tip or gratuity on services without asking if there is a potential for tips or gratuity... so people work hours with no tips no gratuity nothing and they keep the extra money . I informed them the customer thought the tip was included in the 450 dollars charge and they kept it minus the 45 dollars for pay 20 dollars I had to spend on supplies and 5 for parking . And told me I should have put a tip jar at a private corporate work event where people were on a conference and had no personal items . They were nasty rude and very unprofessional. If your going to use people and take of advantage then just say that upfront . The guy Dylon cursed at me multiple times and literally kept trying to say you should have had a tip jar. And I explained with or with out one the setting wasn't set up like that nor were the amount of people quoted maybe a handful of people so myself and the other bartender worked for hours loaded and unloading , driving around and giving great customer service to be shafted in the end . He has no clue how to do real hiring for private events . He sent pictures of how much was charged to customer and literally I got 50 dollars and he got 400. He never explained anything never told me anything like we couldn't or wouldn't make tips . If he would have did his job and asked what kind of event this was or ever worked these types of events he would have known. We didn't make a single dollar which we didn't expect to we expected DYLON to tip us from the 450 dollars he pocketed. I spent money on tools to work stove around from store to store to get ice and other supplies never got reimbursed. He mailed things to my house without my permission , after he told me he was mailing stuff I took off to receive items . Dylon is literally taking advantage of customers and peoples crafts . So to the reviews that says he randomly hires people . HE DOES NEVER INTERVIEWED NEVER SPOKE WITH A ACTUAL LIVE PERSON I RANDOMLY RECEIVED A TEXT ABOUT A JOB . I booked this company months ago for a surprise 50th birthday party. I confirmed the day before since they hadn't been responding to my emails. The bartender was supposed to arrive 30 minutes prior to the party starting. At the time they were supposed to arrive I received a text message that the bartender called out sick and they had no one available to replace them. I had 50 people showing up in half an hour and no bartender with no notice. Completely unreliable. The still haven't refunded my deposit. Completely unprofessional company. Do not rely on them for your event. read more

Dylan Forsythe is the owner of this business. This is directed to him. Your bartender not only showed up high and drunk - he was drinking while working, was belligerent, and harassed our female guests.  He asked several female guests to take off their tops and "show your tits."  He was throwing cans and bottles on the floor.  He was asked to stop drinking while working, and yet he continued.  He got so out of control, he was told he couldn't be behind the bar and needed to leave.  He left for a little while, but returned, packed everything up, and left - leaving us without a bartender with several hours of a reception to go.  The police had to come out because he was so out of control and intoxicated.  We also have reason to believe he took some of our liquor. Word of caution to those seeking bartending services: Dylan has not done anything to even address what his bartender did at my daughter's wedding. The negative impact will be a lifelong memory for the entire wedding party and guests. With his initial offer to address and resolve this, I have given Dylan numerous opportunities to respond (email, telephone, text), and he has done nothing. My fiancé has been trying to get ahold of barmasters for 2 months now after they stated they will issue a refund of our deposit, however they have completely ghosted us. All of this is due to our venue no longer allowing them on the premises because of the horrible service that they provide. this company is a horrible company to hire for bartending and anything else they offer. They will completely ghost you and steal your money the second you pay them the deposit. They cannot uphold to any word that they state to you. I'm at the point where I'm taking legal measures because they have stated they would refund my money within 30 days and I just now been two months and we are done messing around. read more

BARMASTERS provided fantastic service for my private party. Starting with the quick response to provide a quote for my event, they made it easy to come up with a customized solution to meet my needs. The bartender that staffed my event was on time, courteous, and very professional. He was sharply dressed and skillfully provided mixology for a great evening. All my guests were impressed with the level of service provided. In addition, the ability to pay via a web link made it easy to secure my event with a deposit and provide payment afterwards. Traci Farris This was my wedding that you all did at the Captains House on the 29th. I was very disappointed with barmasters mobile bar tending. We ordered the full package... had paid for a 4 hr block, half hour set up and clean up . I even confirmed via text message the day before. Again was reassured that you would be at my wedding by 330pm to set up. Well the day of my wedding, I get a text message at 330pm "running slightly late, but will be there and ready by 4pm." My cocktail hour started at 4pm. 4pm comes...no bartenders yet. About a minute later 401pm, receive another text, now stating that "my car battery died and I have to get a jump, I'm 7 to 10 minutes away though and I will stay later to make up for it" that doesnt cut it, I hired you to be there and ready at 4pm. My guests were there at 4pm like my wedding invitations stated cuz thats when cocktail time and appetizers were to be served. At this point and time the groom and myself had to go get dressed for the 430 ceremony so I'm not exactly sure what time they really arrived and got set up. The woman bartender was very unpersonable, not very friendly. It seemed everytime I was at the bar, she was on her cell phone and acted like she was really not "into" her job and could care less about being there. She also got in line for the buffet to help herself and then after getting in line, then decides to ask my husband if she could eat. There was plenty of food, but she should have asked first before jumping line. As stated on my invitations, the reception was over at 8pm, so the bartenders didnt stay as promised...there was no need at that point. I needed them there at 4pm to serve cocktails like i paid for, not late to make up their time when the guests were gone.!!! Needless to say, I am very unsatisfied with Barmasters .
