Always go to the sale rack because the employees will always direct you to the higher-priced items first which are way overpriced. The alterations were done and for the pants was told that they would cut the material but instead, they just hemmed, which I could have done myself. The altercations cost more than the jacket and pants. I will give them credit because they called and had the suite ready to go for a memorial service. Don't expect to rush in and make a purchase. Give yourself several hours due to the slow service, and this is also for when picking up after alterations are done.

I think there was 5 of us back there for 20 to 30 minutes(no employee in sight). One guy got frustrated and left and me and the gentleman i was chatting with left. The other couple I'm not sure if they left or not, if I was them I would have. As for the job search, I think you have too many $9.00 an hour people with no interest in Dunhams already. Maybe you should start at the top in this store and re-evaluate your people. I dont think I'd fit in, my interest would definitely collide with what you have now. I think I've been to every Lowe's in Middle TN and Western/Middle KY at one point or another in the…read morepast few years and guess what? They ALL suck. The employees never offer to help you and when you chase one down and ask for help they're rude and have no idea where items are or what you might need for a given project. Ace is not like that. This Ace in particular is great. My wife or I have stopped in for an item or two at least once or twice a month for the past year or two and every time we are helped if we need it by someone who knows what they're talking about and who isn't rude or put out that you are shopping here. The store is organized and clean, the employees are friendly, and the prices are fair. The only thing I could think of complaining about is maybe the hours are sometimes a bit limited (especially being closed on Sunday) but heck that might have something to do with why the employees are helpful--maybe they don't hate working here and aren't treated like crap as I'm sure most Lowe's employees are.

The employees are always friendly and know what they are talking about (in my experience). I've probably been in the Portland, TN store a few times a year for 10 years and like another review their hours are limited. They close at 5 pm throughout the week and closed on Sunday. I'm ok with the closed on Sunday part, but I wish they were open until 6pm. I always miss the time by a couple of minutes and have to return the next day. Also, their prices are very competitive. Sometimes they're a dollar or two higher and sometimes a dollar or two lower. I stopped in the White House, Tn store today and the women did not greet me nor ask if they could help me find something. Since I've never been in this location, I definitely needed some guidance as to where to find something, but I decided to just go ahead and look myself. As I was leaving the store I noticed that they greeted the men that were coming in. Maybe they didn't feel I needed help. Needless to say, I headed to the Portland location and was greeted and helped right away. Anyway, I may not always need help or even need to be greeted, but I'm very glad the Portland store does. This is much appreciated.

I only wish they would mark down their items that are nearing the expired date, so that people could take advantage of the savings, instead of filling the dumpster full of perfectly good food, if they did not want to do this, there is a good food bank located in Scottsville, that is in desperate need of everything that they would ordinarily toss out.
