What a great experience....considering lol. This was my 1st…read moresurgery as an adult, and was extremely nervous and didn't know what to expect. From prepping & education by staff the weeks leading up to surgery day, to then the check in, surgery, recovery and release, every step of the way, and every person I encountered was incredible. So kind and understanding, they really made me feel heard and cared for. The facility was clean, and the staff was so kind. My surgeon Dr. NADEL knew what he was doing and delivered on the promise of an excellent procedure. Easily was able to get ahold of staff after surgery through the portal and all questions were answered at ang time. Everyone helped me feel comfortable and safe before AND after surgery. I am so grateful to everyone at West Hills Surgery Center, and Dr. Nadel, for making me whole again, and feel at ease during the process. Thank you all

I've spent enough time in hospitals over the years to know that kindness can sometimes feel like a limited resource. Walking into West Hills Hospital, I honestly expected good medical care. What I didn't expect was to meet one of the most compassionate, respectful, and genuinely invested medical teams I've ever encountered. Dr. Namavar, the nurses, the social workers--every single person we met treated not only our family, but our loved one struggling with addiction, with a level of dignity and respect that frankly brought us to tears. Addiction carries so much stigma, yet not once did anyone make him feel like "just another addict." They saw a human being. That matters more than words can express. Our family had a very specific plan to safely transition him from the hospital directly into a rehabilitation facility. Every concern we had was heard. Every request was taken seriously. The team coordinated with the rehabilitation center, communicated with us every step of the way, and made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Instead of making us feel like difficult family members, they made us feel like partners in his care. Then there was Dr. Namavar. I've met a lot of physicians. I've never met one quite like him. He sat down--not because he had to, but because he wanted to--and shared his own personal experiences with loss and drug overdoses. He wasn't reading from a script or giving a lecture. He was connecting with another human being. You could actually see the walls come down in the room. It was one of the most genuine moments I've ever witnessed between a physician and a patient. To the nurses: thank you for treating us like family. To the social workers: thank you for fighting just as hard for the next step as you did for the one we were in. To Dr. Namavar: thank you for reminding us that medicine is as much about the heart as it is about science. And finally... this is probably the weirdest compliment I've ever written, but if life ever decides to throw another medical emergency my way, I sincerely hope it has the courtesy to happen somewhere near West Hills Hospital. That's how much confidence you've given me. You didn't just care for a patient. You cared for an entire family. Thank you for giving us hope when we needed it most.

Dr. Shervin Aminpour changed my life. When I was 12 years old, I got accidentally hit on the nose…read morewith a hockey stick in PE class. It broke my nose. I was afraid to tell my parents. Even though they noticed my nose looked crooked all of a sudden, I denied it out of fear, because I was afraid of doctors/hospitals at the time. I couldn't breathe well out of my right nostril. A few years later I started to notice the change in my face due to this unaddressed fracture. I hated how I looked in the mirror and I didn't feel like myself. In my late teens I went to my primary doc, told them I think I broke my nose, and explained the injury. The doctor took a look at me and said my nose was completely normal, didn't address the obstructed right nostril, and said my nose just changed because of puberty and it was my underlying genetics that made me look that way. I was disappointed but accepted what they said because they were an MD, and I didn't want to undergo an unnecessary procedure. Fast forward many years and I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was not right. I stumbled upon a picture of myself before the injury and that was the final straw that led me to seek a second opinion. I searched online for different docs and wanted to find someone who specialized in this form of reconstruction and cosmetic procedure. Long story short, I found Dr. Aminpour. The second he walked into the examination room, without even reading my file, he took one look at me and said "You broke your nose." I cannot emphasize enough how relieving this was for me. I felt like I was crazy for seeing something wrong when my primary doc told me there wasn't. Dr. Aminpour then discovered my septum was deviated through the physical exam, because it was obvious to him that I wasn't passing much air through the right nostril. I was very nervous on surgery day but he did a great job of reassuring me and easing my nerves. I can't tell you how much this procedure changed my life for the better. I got a combo septo/rhinoplasty. After I was cleared to take the bandages off, I left my house to run errands and saw my reflection in a car window. And for the first time in years, I loved what I saw. I felt like MYSELF. Finally my outward appearance matched what I felt on the inside. I asked Dr. Aminpour to make my nose look as similar as possible to what it was before my injury and he did so wonderfully. I stated my concerns about having a nose that had too much of a upturned swoop and a tip that was too thin/pointy. He reassured me that he wouldn't create that look and left the tip alone. The result is natural-looking AND... Taking a real full inhale for the first time in 2 decades made me realize what I was missing for so long. I no longer have to breathe through my mouth when exerting myself, and it's even improved my amateur signing voice, haha. THANK YOU DR. AMINPOUR FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!!!

No one called. Then about 5 days later we got a call from their Scheduler Rhonda. She said we had to get a blood test from our physician? Also that we had to call the anesthesiologist to find out how we were going to be charged? We called our physician and was told that he would not consent to blood work he doesn't know anything about. We called and called and left messages to the anesthesiologist. NOTHING. We called back to the office to try and reschedule. The Santa Clarita office never answers the phone. Their answering service days they are out to lunch from 12-2pm. We call back after 2pm and no one answered. We called the Tarzana office to find out what happened and to reschedule. We explained the issues and Magina at the office apologized and explained that there was a miscommunication. That they would send the blood test over to our physician's office. Which by the way wasn't received. She said Rhona, the scheduler, miscommunicated.Nevertheless we were told we would get a call from here the next morning. We never got one. So, we called the Tarzana office again. Then we were greeted by a very unprofessional staff member who was not only rude but borderline racist. She made smirky remarks and hung up the phone. Wow!. So we called back and explained. They simply say, they don't know who answered the call. Why is it so hard to reschedule? Why were we mistreated and why is it so hard to get in touch with the right person? This is so not consistent with the reviews that I read. Something is very wrong here. Someone didn't do their job and someone lied. I don't like to make bad reviews. The doctor may be good but the staff needs help. This is by far the worst experience I had with a doctor's office over trying to reschedule. We had no choice but to cancel. Even if they try to talk to the staff, those staff members would still hold a grudge. You lost a patient over a simple rescheduling matter that could have prevented a whole ball of mess.
