Dr. Shervin Aminpour changed my life. When I was 12 years old, I got accidentally hit on the nose with a hockey stick in PE class. It broke my nose. I was afraid to tell my parents. Even though they noticed my nose looked crooked all of a sudden, I denied it out of fear, because I was afraid of doctors/hospitals at the time. I couldn't breathe well out of my right nostril. A few years later I started to notice the change in my face due to this unaddressed fracture. I hated how I looked in the mirror and I didn't feel like myself. In my late teens I went to my primary doc, told them I think I broke my nose, and explained the injury. The doctor took a look at me and said my nose was completely normal, didn't address the obstructed right nostril, and said my nose just changed because of puberty and it was my underlying genetics that made me look that way. I was disappointed but accepted what they said because they were an MD, and I didn't want to undergo an unnecessary procedure. Fast forward many years and I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was not right. I stumbled upon a picture of myself before the injury and that was the final straw that led me to seek a second opinion. I searched online for different docs and wanted to find someone who specialized in this form of reconstruction and cosmetic procedure. Long story short, I found Dr. Aminpour. The second he walked into the examination room, without even reading my file, he took one look at me and said "You broke your nose." I cannot emphasize enough how relieving this was for me. I felt like I was crazy for seeing something wrong when my primary doc told me there wasn't. Dr. Aminpour then discovered my septum was deviated through the physical exam, because it was obvious to him that I wasn't passing much air through the right nostril. I was very nervous on surgery day but he did a great job of reassuring me and easing my nerves. I can't tell you how much this procedure changed my life for the better. I got a combo septo/rhinoplasty. After I was cleared to take the bandages off, I left my house to run errands and saw my reflection in a car window. And for the first time in years, I loved what I saw. I felt like MYSELF. Finally my outward appearance matched what I felt on the inside. I asked Dr. Aminpour to make my nose look as similar as possible to what it was before my injury and he did so wonderfully. I stated my concerns about having a nose that had too much of a upturned swoop and a tip that was too thin/pointy. He reassured me that he wouldn't create that look and left the tip alone. The result is natural-looking AND... Taking a real full inhale for the first time in 2 decades made me realize what I was missing for so long. Then they turn around and put the blame on their patients saying it's their responsibility to verify if they are covered as if the patients are the one with the title "medical receptionist" allegedly this office exists for a money grab they don't care at all and take advantage of they use these words "we will send it to collections" just so they can pay their out of office doctors they bring in, they will turn around and tell you that you took up their doctors time, but don't even consider the fact that you're not there for fun. You also have a life and have a job and they have now taken up your time because they failed to let you know that they don't accept your insurance until after the appointment and now you have to fight for your right as well as go see another doctor again take another day off again lose out on money that you need to pay your bills again. If they hire someone at the front desk they need to give them enough training, so that they don't turn around and blame it on the patients when their employees fail to do their duty. When somebody doesn't know how to do their job why does it become the patient's fault? While I was there, there was another man in there that was arguing with them so it seems as if this isn't the first time they try to swindle patients. Their manager is very rude and aggressive towards someone who is just trying to figure out why they waited until after you have seen the doctor to let you know how much you are going to have to pay for the visit and just tells you that you're arguing with her I didn't realize how easy it is to use "I don't wanna argue with you" as a way to shut down someone who's just trying to figure out why their office messed up this bad when they are a doctors office. If you have patients triple checking with you that you accept their insurance that means they can't afford to pay for a $200 visit! If you let patients know you're gonna get them an authorization because you accept their insurance that means there is no co-pay, and there is no fees if you discover as a medical receptionist as a doctor as a billing encoding employee that a patients insurance is not covered after you have told them it is covered then you should let them know before they go into the visit so that they can decide whether they can afford to pay it or whether they will cancel their appointment and go with a doctor that does accept their insurance because if they could afford private doctors they would have private health insurance. Mind you they will have you fill out a new patient authorization form online where you upload pictures of your insurance card so this means now they have your insurance card in multiple ways and they still fail to do their job correctly! read more

Very disappointing experience. I specifically made an appointment with Dr. Shervin Aminpour for my father. At no point before the appointment was I clearly informed that he would be seeing a different doctor. We did not find out until we were actually in the office and saw the doctor in person. When we checked out, I raised this issue with the staff member who asked me for payment. Her response was essentially, "What's the problem? She is also an ENT doctor." That response was extremely frustrating. The problem is that I specifically chose and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Aminpour. If the office was going to substitute another physician, I should have been informed beforehand and given the choice to accept the change or reschedule. Instead, I ended up paying $500 for an appointment with a doctor I never made an appointment with. Unfortunately, the problems continued after the visit. The doctor was supposed to prescribe two medications, but the pharmacy received nothing. I had to call the office to ask them to send the prescriptions. When I later went to the pharmacy, I discovered that they had sent only one of the two medications, so I had to call the office a second time just to get the other prescription sent. Between changing the doctor without properly informing us, the dismissive response when I raised the issue, and having to repeatedly follow up for prescriptions that should have been sent after the appointment, this was a very unpleasant and frustrating experience. I expected much better communication and organization, especially for a $500 specialist visit. read more

July of 2025 I had a nasal sinuplasty procedure and a jaw Botox injection by Dr. Aminpour to remove a nodule and help with my TMJ symptoms in my jaw. He also recommended a dental lower bite device worn at night and daily use of saline packets in my nasal tract.. Since then, I haven't had one sinus infection or cold, which had been very common for me as a teacher of young children. My TMJ pain also has gone way down. I am very very happy with Dr. Aminpour and his very professional and friendly team! I highly recommend him! read more

today was the 2nd time ive walked out after waiting 2 hours. last time it was over an hour. time before that the man next to me said he had been waiting 2 1/2 hour. at 75 i see alot of doctors none are run so poorly as this office staff. no communication about why they are late or when u might get in. their idea of 10-15 usual mean 30-60 minutes. people are sitting in the hall every seat is taken because they ate so far behind. I understand that wait times happen at every medical office, but it makes no sense to schedule a specific appointment time if patients are still left waiting. I arrived, checked in, filled out the paperwork, provided my ID and insurance card, and still waited about 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time to be seen. The worst part came after the visit. I asked the front desk how much I owed, and they told me to go home and wait for a bill. Two to three weeks later, I received a bill with an extremely high amount. I called the billing department for help or clarification and received zero assistance. The only response I got was: pay in full, go to collections, or set up a monthly payment. I then contacted the doctor's office directly and spoke with the office manager, which was an even worse experience. She was extremely rude, talked over me, wouldn't let me explain anything, and repeated the same dismissive line: pay in full, collections, or monthly payment. Her attitude and lack of professionalism were shocking. This office lost more than just a payment -- they lost a patient for life, a positive review, and any potential referrals. Very long wait time. Dr Aminpour was with me for MAX 5 mins and didn't check my ears or throat. Just nose and said "deviated septum-need surgery" and said he can throw in a nose job for $15,500.00. I went in for ear and throat discomfort and loss of taste and smell. lol read more

I waited a while before deciding to leave a review because I wanted to make sure I was well-enough removed from my experience. I first went to Dr Aminpour in 2021 for a rhinoplasty. I liked the results of the Before & Afters of the surgeries he had done and I had a good consult with him so I decided to move forward. The first thing that I didn't appreciate was that he didn't do any simulation of what the outcome would look like because he didn't want to set expectations that may not be met. So I had no idea if what I was communicating to him was being understood or not. The procedure went fine however once the cast came off and swelling went down, it was clear that he only fixed the bridge of my nose and left the tip as it was - which was a HUGE part of what I wanted corrected. When I asked him why the tip wasn't done, all he said was, he just didn't do it.. He said I could do a revision with him and I would just have to pay the facility and anesthesia fees of $1700 (although I wondered why I would even have to cover any of it seeing as he simply chose not to do what I asked of him). A few years passed and when I came in for an appointment to tell him I was ready, he sat with me for 90 seconds just to tell me to schedule the pre-op appointment and charged me $250 on the spot. I might as well mention at this point that if you do schedule an appointment with him, you can quite literally be an hour late and you'll STILL have to wait to be seen. Now for the office manager, Iris. She's always cutting you off any time you speak. When she confirmed that the cost of the facility fees would be $1700, I was trying to figure out if I could get anything covered with insurance and she said they wouldn't know until it was billed - that's totally fine and exactly how it goes with insurance. However, since I was in open-enrollment at my company, I wanted to figure out if it was worth switching insurances to attempt getting anything back. So I called the facility and asked them directly. The manager asked what was being done and who with and told me that it wasn't $1700 -- it was $1200. Ok, that's odd. So when I went in for the pre-op and told Iris, she had a fit. "Why are you calling them?" "You NEVER speak to them, you only talk to me." "They would never give you a number." "You don't even know what facility it is." I showed her my call log of the facility's phone number and the 10 minute conversation I had and she still refused to believe me. I finally just gave in and handed them the $1700. At the pre-op I had another 90 second meeting with Dr Aminpour where I had photos lined up to show him what I wanted it to look like and it just felt like he wasn't even taking it in. I tried so hard to tell him I wanted to refine the tip, make it look smaller, reduce the bulbousness etc etc. Hoping he got the message this time around. On the day of the operation, a surgery being done by another doctor was running late so me and his other five patients (he was doing back to back surgeries) were waiting over four hours from our original surgery time. Not his fault since this was another doctor. So I'm sitting in the prep room waiting and he sits in the chair next to me separated by a privacy curtain and FALLS ASLEEP. I know this because he was snoring like a fog horn. Even the loud banging of doors and equipment was not waking him up. Not exactly reassuring that he is ready to go perform surgery in a few minutes. It's almost 6 months later and I can tell you that the ball is still standing proud at the end of my nose, except now it's pointing further downward (think Gonzo from the muppets). I am so disappointed in this experience and the waste of money that got me here. Now I have to go get another revision done - this time from a different doctor - for 20k. It would have been cheaper if I had just gone to a top tier surgeon in the first place read more

It's been about two months since I had sinus procedures here, and I've been absolutely THRILLED with the results. I can finally BREATHE again! After struggling with intense seasonal allergies my whole life, my sinuses were in complete disarray--until Dr. Aminpour came to the rescue. I'll start off by saying that the front office staff and office manager were very nice. However, nice only goes so far when the wait time is 2 hours to see the doctor. I am a nurse and I do know that things can happen to delay an appointment. I don't mind waiting 30-45 minutes past my appointment time but upwards of over 2 hours without much explanation is beyond tolerable. Clearly this office is way overbooked. This was my first appointment so I was a little more tolerant. But when Dr. Aminpour finally did come in he did very little to make me feel like we mattered. When I said 2 hours wait time is excessive, his response was "I'm not here to help with your feelings. I'm here to help with your physical issues. You can stay or leave." At that time we chose to leave. No doctor is worth being talked to like that. Part of being in the patient care business is to make them feel comfortable. I have had one other doctor that was notoriously late up to 2 hours wait time. But every time he came in, he was so incredibly nice that all my annoyance was soothed and I felt very confident with his care and I went to him for years and dealt with his crazy schedule. So I am not unreasonable but Dr. Aminpour was very dismissive and disrespectful. I can't trust a doctor with my care when treated like that. read more

Great Dr. I needed complex Septorhinoplasty to fix a massively deviated septum and my eye dr said i need to get my upper eyelids fixed because they were hooding my eyes. Neither of which did I want to do but I needed to. I got a recommendation from my dr and Dr Shervin fixed everything. Im at 10 weeks post op and I have never been able to breath so well and see so much better. A side benefit is I have an amazing looking nose and my eyes look amazing. complaint regarding my visit to Dr. Aminpour Shervin on March 25, 2025. During the consultation, he advised that I needed polyp surgery and a balloon procedure, both of which were to be performed in the office. When I asked about anesthesia, he informed me that he would not be providing it, and instead, he planned to give me Xanax. He explicitly told me not to tell anyone about this, as he is "not allowed" to give patients Xanax. Additionally, he requested that I bring $8,000 in cash for the procedures, with the suggestion that my insurance might reimburse me later. His unprofessional behavior and questionable approach to patient care left me deeply concerned. read more

Oh boy. First of all, I never write reviews, but I am peeved off enough to write one. 1. I waited 45 minutes to be seen after my scheduled appointment. 2. The doctor I saw, I don't remember his name, was fine. He cleaned my ears (which was the reason for my visit) and asked to check my nose with a scope. I obliged. He asked about allergies to which I responded. He then wrote me a prescription for my nose. 3. When I received my EOB, it showed 3 services including surgical services because he used a scope. It feels like a scam to add that and not tell me I would be billed for it when he asked. 4. Then here comes the kicker. I go to pay, and they charge me $250! I realized I gave them the wrong expired insurance. When I called to update them, they said they will update the insurance for me. I received my EOB, and I only should have paid $30. My mother also called and updated them. 5. I called weeks later to the billing department only to be told that they NEVER UPDATED THE INSURANCE, despite emailing and receiving confirmation that they would. 6. I am still waiting for my reimbursement via check. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Aminpour for a couple of months now and I couldn't be happier about the amount of help and care I have received at his office. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Dr. Aminpour himself is incredibly good at his job on top of being very personable. I came into the office in early December with a irritated throat that had been bothering me for most of the year. Dr. Aminpour took one look at me, and told me what was wrong with me and then proceeded to show me on a CT scan everything he saw. While I do not remember the name of the procedure, he basically vacuumed out years of infection from my sinuses, treated me for acid reflux and that made a large difference. He also scheduled me for surgery to fix a deviated septum and a polyp removal. That surgery went well and I can finally breathe out of both sides of my nose. Although not an enjoyable process the few weeks after.....I went from not being able to breathe at night to breathing. Mouth breathing destroys your sleep. Dr Aminpour is very efficient and quick; but the results are worth it. (Check your insurance; because I had no idea of my part--but I'd do it again in a NY minute). I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to do so this time. I've been a patient of Dr. Aminpour's twice now, both times due to a broken nose incident. My first surgery was in 2018. After spending months and thousands of dollars spent on consultations trying to find a surgeon I felt confident in, I chose Dr. Aminpour. What immediately stood out to me was his bedside manner and how much he focused the surgery consultation on creating the shape I wanted by building with grafts and maintaining structural integrity, rather than just "shaving as much bone to get a good shape." My goal was to have my nose straightened and restored to its original look, but most importantly, I wanted it to work properly. I woke up from surgery crying because I could already breathe better, even with splints in my nose. Recently, I got into a car accident in December, and my nose was broken in over seven places. Despite the holidays and scheduling conflicts, I refused to go anywhere else but Dr. Aminpour. I was terrified my nose was going to start sinking, and I knew he was the only one who could restore it to normal without compromising its integrity and my quality of breathing. Dr. Aminpour also noticed the crookedness of my jaw and suggested Botox for my TMJ, which made a significant difference. It doesn't get sore or click when I chew or talk anymore. At just under two months post-op, my swelling is minimal, with just a bit at the tip of my nose. Trust.his.pre-op.recommendations.!!!!!! This review is for the experience of my dad. He's been having trouble breathing and issues with his throat. I called the doctors office, and right away they were able to get him an appointment to get him seen, considering how uncomfortable my dad was. Right away Dr. Aminpour was able to determine his issue and referred him to a specialist. His expertise is just so amazing, and aside from that, my dad doesn't speak English perfectly, so the entire time Iris was there to help explain everything to him. Not only that, but Iris knew how concerned my dad was so right away she got an authorization for him to see the specialist. To top that off, the specialist was booked until end of December, so SHE took initiative and called the office and got an appointment for my dad right away. I love how much this office cares about their patients. From someone as young as my son who had his tonsils and adenoids removed, to my successful rhinoplasty, to my dad's health issue. Dr. Shervin Aminpour is absolutely amazing! He has been my doctor for years. He performed sinus surgery on me and after having a 95% deviated septum, with chronic sinus infections, I could finally breathe! Dr. Aminpour performed a tonsillectomy on our daughter too. Then in May of this year my husband was diagnosed with skin cancer on his nose by a Dermatologist. The Dermatologist said they should be able to close the incision, but the doctor was not a cosmetic surgeon and this was his face! So I immediately thought of Dr. Aminpour because I knew he specializes in noses being an ENT and that he was a cosmetic surgeon. I called Dr. Aminpour's office and spoke to his amazing office manager, Iris, and she made an appointment for my husband to come right in. She also coordinated the whole surgery and navigated so the timing was right going from the Dermatologist to remove the skin cancer and then to Dr. Aminpour to close the incision. When we got to Dr. Aminpour's office after the cancer removal, he was so surprised how large the area was, but he immediately knew what to do. He took my husband into surgery, and he had to totally reconstruct my husband's nose. Dr. Aminpour guided us through the whole process and let us know what to expect from the healing process. Dr. Aminpour told us to trust him and that it was going to look great and not to worry. It took 3-4 months, but it completely healed and looks like his old nose! We are so thankful to Dr. Aminpour and feel we are so blessed that he is our doctor. Nobody else could have done what he did. He is a miracle worker! Hello, I had been in pain for over a month. I went to ER and to the Dr. multiple times, they gave me antibiotics and ear drops but still had pain. I came to this ENT in west hills, driving over a hour to see if they would accept me. I was lucky, once I got there Ms. Iris saw me in pain and assisted me right away. I saw Dr. Generals, in less than 15 mins he was able to cure my double ear infections. I am in complete disbelief that I had been with this horrible pain for over a month and it took the Dr. 15 mins!! This review is long overdue. I've come to Dr. Aminpour many times over the years for sinus and allergy issues. This review is for the ENT portion of his practice. I am very satisfied with the services I've received from him and have found him to be a highly skilled, professional, and solution oriented ENT (he is also a plastic surgeon which makes a huge difference). What I have found particularly distinguishing about Dr. "A" (at least in my experience) is that he gets to the bottom of things and truly solves problems. That may sound obvious, but sinus and allergies issues can be complex. I can say from experience, many ENTs out there, even the so called "best" can leave you running around in circles, not really achieving resolution of symptoms, and next thing you know you're stuck in a loop of trying the same interventions over and over again with no positive result. Dr. A's direct and soloution oriented approach really resonated with me early on. He listened to my concerns and did the appropriate tests and assessments to get to the bottom of things FAST. He is insightful, extremely analytical and really looks at all the individual variables involved carefully. He knows his MEDICINE. He is confident and direct in his practice. For some, his approach may come off strong perhaps, but really, that's what you want in the doctor treating your issues. Conviction, expertise, follow-through, results. That's what matters. There have been gaps of time where I haven't needed his services for many years, then after coming back we were able to pick up like we saw each other yesterday. Always felt very comfortable. I noticed most of the lower than 5-star reviews mentioned billing and finances. Yes, these services can get expensive, but he is a specialist with special training and experience. It goes with the territory and although insurances and finances vary, I have found all of his services to be of really high value compared to cost. Sometimes, you just need to invest to solve problems and achieve health/wellness goals. Overall, I can say Dr. A is the best ENT I have dealt with (and I've gone through many over the years). Lastly, I have found the ladies at the front desk to be professional, hard working, and overall very sweet. Thanks for everything over the years Dr. A. TRUTH... Not often does a person find a doctor and office staff so caring, knowledgeable and accommodating as Dr. Aminpour and his staff. Mom came in from SF, just to see doctor, to help with sinus infection and tmj. Doctor was accommodating, knowing mom had moved back to SF but came here JUST to see him. WOW. Dr Aminpour was amazing. From our first appointment all the way to the surgery and then to the post-op, he was completely reassuring, comforting, and knowledgable about what was happening and what I should expect. I had to do a handful of appointments at his office before and after my operation, I never waited more than ten minutes, and his staff was amazing. Anything he needed to look at or talk to me about he kept it straight forward and informative. My total time from signing my name to leaving with my next appointment was within 30 minutes every time!
