Throughout the many, many times I have…read moretaken the class (or any AHA class for that matter) I have never had an instructor who was so informative; they basically just tell you "this is the way it is" without telling you why. Dawn would explain how things were done and then further explain the rationale behind it. The kind of learner I am, I need to understand the "why". If I had had her for my very first BLS class, I would have been more confident at the start of my career.

I asked the instructor for the class Why did they make us buy this book if we weren't going use it she did not have an answer for me so I am putting this review out don't buy the book you don't need the book just pay for the class!!! I feel like buying the book is a Moneygrab!!!! and that's really really unfortunate that they would do that. The class is expensive enough as it is.

Holly was so knowledgeable and explained things in such detail. I am usually in class every two years because I have to be, I don't interact. Holly made class interesting and fun. Her personality is bubbly, she's funny I couldn't help but blurt out all the answers because she was so on it with her explanations and visuals. I mentioned to her after class that she was honestly the best instructor ever. Pretty much the whole class agreed. I've wanted to take ACLS and PALS but dreaded the blah of it all and doubted that I would even retain the smallest bit of information. He even got back to me right before I left about a question regarding how to give CPR to a concave chest. Austin was clear when he spoke and when answering questions. We finished about 20 mins early. The only thing that we didn't get to do was operating the AED machine. I'm pretty familiar with AED machine coz my airline job provide BLS training every year, but I can imagine for some people, it's very new. The instructor show how to operate it live, and it was also in the video. The BLS card is valid for 2 years and I'm planning to renew mine in this location.

They send text reminders when it comes close to the date you set and easy rescheduling if need to be. Inside the classroom they followed COVID rules with 6 feet apart and modified the team skills so you can do individually but still hands on. The course instructor Connor was amazing. Very energetic and spoke clearly. He was easy to talk to if we had any questions. Definitely recommend and will be back in 2 years to renew.
