Beautiful space I love how you could have a wedding or events. one of the spaces have access to the big Ballroom with for dining, a bar as well as dance floor. one of my only cons is the workers the staff can be a little bit not nice but you can tell they're frustrated at times because of the events. Which makes me wonder why I have an event space if you're going to be stressed out and not friendly to guess and people who have booked the space and paid money? Jolie an Event Center has hip hop line dancing every Friday at 7pm. It is only $5 to get in and the drinks are cheap! At 7pm, the instructor teaches several line dances. He usually goes through the dance one or two times to teach the steps before practicing with the music. Don't feel bad if you aren't picking it up quickly. Many people there know the dances already and have had lots of practice! After the instructional component, the lights go off and it's time to practice the dances! It is similar to a club atmosphere, but everyone knows all the line dances! Everyone is friendly and helps you out if you can't remember all of the moves! If you enjoy line dancing, you HAVE to come to this event. It's one of my favorite Friday night activities! It's affordable AND tons of fun! I have been knowing of Jolie's since I moved to Atlanta in 2009, and the customers service has been great. My good girlfriend had her Birthday Party at her other location and it was amazing. I had first my annual Gala last year 2018, and it was wonderful, so you know where we are once again, at Jolie's Event Venue. At our first event, and at the last minute she placed us in the bigger room, for we had over sold our tickets. Oh by the way that other room was $600.00 more, and she didn't charge us a dime more. The venue was very beautiful once it was decorated but the owners were very unprofessional they change my contract 2 days before my event and raise the price and there was nothing I could do with pad or cancel my event and lose all the money that I had already paid so I wind up paying an additional lump sum of money. Very, very, very, disappointed and a lot of money and time WASTED. My story, hired a wedding coordinator, she paid for a tour, got a contract, went over the detail, agree to come in this within a week on a Saturday to sign the contract and put my deposit down. oh, did I mention I live in Seattle!, I took off from work, booked a $600 flight for a Saturday and returning on Sunday and a hotel $300.00 only to hear...you guess it! we had a mix up in our scheduling we don't do business on Saturday's we are sorry. PERFECTION AT IT'S FINEST!!!!!!!!! To say that this venue is perfection, wouldn't even beginto describe the amount of time, professionalism, and personalism that was shown while planning my mom's 70th Birthday Party. Bree and Gwen were both helpful and attentive to the plans of the party. They brought the colors for the room very elegantly and the food was superb!!! They also were open to making any changes that would make your day a bit better. It was indeed a pleasure to work with these two beautiful women, they are the epitome of class. I am saddened and greatly disappointed by the outcome of my dealings with "Jolie An Event Center", Decatur, GA. Timeline: October 2015 - Venue Visit (with Gwen, the owner) October 2015 through December 2015 - Periodic Questions and Answers (with Gwen, the owner) Tuesday, December 15, 2015 - @8:21am Jolie's "confirmed" appointment details as it related to coming into the office on Dec 22, 2015 and signing the contract for our upcoming event. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 - @2:23pm an email was received from Gwen (the owner) stating the following: "I am sorry to inform you that at this time you and Jolie are not a good fit. We have cancel your appointment on Dec 22, 2015." We have made two phone calls to Jolie's (Gwen, the owner) in an effort to obtain an explanation because as you can imagine, we were totally surprised by the content of the rejection email. Gwen, one of the owners, needs a lesson in humility and respect. I waited twice for her to follow up on finalizing an agreement and never heard back. Then, giving it a third and final shot, her tone was rude and very highfalutin like I was wasting HER time. She bragged about how booked her venue gets instead of seeing me as a customer. She's conceited and I won't ever be contacting this hall again. She actually doesn't need to be dealing with the public at all. read more

The venue was nice and very decently priced but the customer service was horrible. My family and I held a repast there for my father in March, I told myself I have to write a review to warn potential customers. The woman who worked with us double booked us and was completely unapologetic about it. She told us that if we wanted to we could go somewhere else, she was very rude. Obviously the people she booked was paying more money for the space. I know it's a business but there was no compassion. We didn't have much of a choice but to keep the venue at that point. I was hurt that someone would do such a thing especially during such a delicate time. Luckily everything went well despite what she did. I wouldn't suggest anyone to have a repast there because she charge less for them and if someone is having another event that cost more you could have to deal with any inconveniences that come up due to being overbooked. For us, we no longer had space to put our food for the repast. We cooked our food and left it at the venue, we were supposed to have access to the refrigerator there. We had to figure out where to put the food last minute. This was bad business and it wasn't an accident. She knew we wouldn't be able to find a venue on such short notice. read more

Poor customer service: I called to set up a te to see the venue and was told I would hear back by 5pm the same day or no later than the next day and I still have not heard back. I also asked if I could come in on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday since I was coming from out of town and they gave me a very firm NO. There was no attempt to be flexible. So of course I'm not begging anyone to take my money. Also it saddens me because I want to support a black owned business. We have to do better. read more
