Jolie Petite at a spot I used to frequent over ten years ago (RIP half moon saloon) had a complete mommy makeover. I love it! I will say that it was a little pricey but I had a great time w/ great food n drink. So fresh. Very clean. Much CHIC! I had a sazerac and a croquet madame that were (raised pinky sip) exquisite. lol They had great service and staff. 10/10 would recommend.

The Quiche Lorraine: Egg tart with bacon lardons, gruyere cheese, with arugula salad was delicious. The crust was freshly baked and light. Grapefruit mimosa was refreshing. The service was spot on and the ambiance was impressive. The restoration of the interior of the building was spectacular, stunning decor, the glass windows spotlighting the bakery/kitchen was a great touch. Comfortable setting and polite staff. A must return asap for me!!

    Two Egg Breakfast

I had the two egg (poached) breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The potatoes flavorful and cooked just right. And the bacon was flavorful with a hint of maple. Service was attentive and the ambience was comfortable and not noisy like most restaurants. The raves stop there. What is going on with their baked goods? We started with a basket of small biscuits. They were fresh & a little flaky but they had a bitter aftertaste...likely too much leavening agent. And the Croissants? Yikes!! Doughy and heavy like small anchors. Sad because they looked promising. The accompanying mango and strawberry jams were quite good. My meal also came with 3 small silver dollar pancakes. They tasted like they came in a box labelled "ready to heat". Sorry to be so negative but work on your baked goods and you will be the perfect place for brunch. BTW, as we were leaving another table was complaining about the baked goods. Just saying.

Service was good & restaurant is super cute. Main dishes were not seasoned to my liking/very bland & my husband's duck was burnt/over cooked. Food made for great pictures though. Took home dessert & that was good.

Pastries are so delicious. I recommend the pistachio tart, which I took to go. The service was amazing. The taro latte was the best!

Amazing food! Amazing service! The croissant cookie was to die for! The French onion soup was so delicious. The French onion burger my mom had was superb! Also the steak and fries is a must try! Please run to this place quickly and give it a try you won't regret it! I have had croissants in Paris and these remind me of those!!! The restaurant also is so cute! I love the vibe in Jolie Petite so much!

John was our server and was a gracious host ! We had the French omelette , the eggs in pergatory, and the quiche special . We also had their house made raspberry jam. All of it was delicious. The decor was very French and chic. Great pastries as well.

    Madame Croque

Ambiance is elegant and food presentation to match the ambiance. The food is flavor provoking as it stays true to its French nature. For the person who complained that they do not offer french press ... LOL . The French press is not part of customary French brewing methods only that it was invented by French dudes.

    Inside

The service was good and the inside decor was elegant. The food however was disappointing, too salty and overpriced for the taste in my opinion. The pastries were homemade and fresh, which is the highlight of the restaurant. I would only go for that reason but there is no french press on the coffee menu and the cold coffee beverages were presented in cheap disposable cups

Love the food and ambiance. Could have given 5 stars but is a bit overpriced and my friend was not happy at all with her 'bisteka'

I'm pretty sure I can't even find fluffy jiggly cheesecake in San Antonio, what makes you think Brownsville would, for once, have the leg up on that trend? Well, I ended up eating my words. And friends, my words were in the form of this delicious cheesecake. So, we ordered this cheesecake through DoorDash, but we did also swing by the actual cafe in person to check it out. The cafe is pretty bare bones from what I remember, and they sometimes have cakes available to walk in and buy, but for the most part, they prefer you order ahead. And then we saw they did DoorDash. So. Yeah. Naturally, we got one. The cheesecake arrived with fresh strawberries on the side, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Cutting into it was like cutting into a cloud. The taste? Wow. Heaven. Think the perfect marriage between angel food cake and cheesecake. It's so incredibly light but also retains a moist texture. I know these cakes use a lot of egg, but this cake wasn't eggy in the slightest. Overall, it was a delightful, satisfying slice and I think I vastly, VASTLY prefer it over regular cheesecake now. San Antonio has to get on the ball, cause this little shop nailed the recipe for Japanese cheesecake. A+, y'all. We'll need to order it again the next time I'm in town.
