I came for an anniversary brunch on a Tuesday at 10 AM and had the entire place to ourselves. Our server was training a new server and they both did really good! This was our first time having brunch here and they were super helpful with explaining the menu (since there is a lot of French) and recommended for us to try the Croquettes. My boyfriend loved them!! I on the other hand was not very fond of the taste but I still had one :) I had the croissant sandwich and that was the best croissant and best sandwich I have ever had 10/10. It was super filling and the croissant just melts in your mouth. I had tried their pastries before and I HAVE EVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED PLS GO TRYYYY!! (If they ever make those beignets from agave fest again I would go every week for my fix) My boyfriend had the Canard Et Gaufre which is duck and waffles and he really enjoyed the duck. The only issue with this dish was that you can't eat it without using your hands or getting dirty. Other than that this is definitely a must try if you like chicken and waffles. read more

Ambience is very delightfully and relaxing. Pea flower lemonade has a sweet and sour flavor. I ordered the Poulet Croissanlant. Which is a spicy flavored chicken sandwich. This place brings a taste of Paris cafe ambience into the downtown area of Brownsville Tx. Bringing a scenery of the 1970 with a modern century aesthetics to this revamped building. I would recommend the European style pastries. I was received promptly and seated quickly as well. I was on limited time so it worked out well. read more

The Quiche Lorraine: Egg tart with bacon lardons, gruyere cheese, with arugula salad was delicious. The crust was freshly baked and light. Grapefruit mimosa was refreshing. The service was spot on and the ambiance was impressive. The restoration of the interior of the building was spectacular, stunning decor, the glass windows spotlighting the bakery/kitchen was a great touch. Comfortable setting and polite staff. The first time I went was a terrible experience. We waited two hours for our food, and when we finally received it, it was cold. The second time I went wasn't as bad, but it was still far from a good experience. We were rushed out, with our server asking if we were done at every 5 minute intervals. We hadn't been at the table for longer than 40 minutes, including the 20 min. wait for our food. Would not recommend. The pastries are stale, the service is unpredictable, and you can get similar food from other shops downtown at a more leisurely pace and lower price. They inside of the restaurant makes for pretty photos, though. read more

Food was cold, service was mediocre, and the location is lacking in many ways. The selection of pastries looked very old and everything is WAY overpriced. I had the two egg (poached) breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The potatoes flavorful and cooked just right. And the bacon was flavorful with a hint of maple. Service was attentive and the ambience was comfortable and not noisy like most restaurants. The raves stop there. What is going on with their baked goods? We started with a basket of small biscuits. They were fresh & a little flaky but they had a bitter aftertaste...likely too much leavening agent. And the Croissants? Yikes!! Doughy and heavy like small anchors. Sad because they looked promising. The accompanying mango and strawberry jams were quite good. My meal also came with 3 small silver dollar pancakes. They tasted like they came in a box labelled "ready to heat". Sorry to be so negative but work on your baked goods and you will be the perfect place for brunch. The pastries were homemade and fresh, which is the highlight of the restaurant. I was part of a large party this weekend to celebrate my aunties wedding. Over the course of the week, we showed up three times to plan the perfect event. When we arrived, the seating we had reserved was taken up and the host refused to give us the correct tables. We ended up having to wait over an hour to have our orders taken and when they came out multiple peoples orders were messed up and there was disgusting black particles in our drinks. When we pointed it out to the owners, they refused to cooperate with us. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and not anything like we planned. Very unsatisfied with our visit. read more

Ive been here a million times my server was always amazing she was very genuine with me and my mom and understanding of "how difficult I know she could be" I love the food and the service is was always brings me back... so I'm sadden to say that this last time I went to eat my experience was not the same although I was having an blast with the different pastries there is we tried the strawberry tart and the almond croissant they were delicious. next time I go I will ask for another server but will definitely be going back this time our server a man with a dark beard and looked as if he waa missing a few hours of sleep every time we looked over at him he seemed to be talking some really good chisme with the bartender the whole time we were there he didn't check out table at all we needed refills and he never came back we wanted to order way more but decided to leave early and try it another day definitely will go back and try some of the other pastrie!!!! read more
