If you crave for real american burgers in Munich, thid would be the place to go. The burgers are juicy but not raw - just perfect. Love the overall ambience of the place too.

Best grilled cheese of my life. We also had the motz sticks and onion rings (certainly weren't like anything from back home, but on a two week tour of Europe, it'll do). I had the pancakes my friends had the burgers. The pancakes weren't as fluffy as I had liked and had a different taste. The bacon however was about as crispy and real as to bacon back home as well. The milk shakes are delicious, but seriously the grilled cheese. You need to get it.

I'm really surprised I've never heard of this diner since it is an American diner but I'm glad I was introduced. I went with a group for a birthday and we had two tables in the back. It's set up like your typical American, old school diner. I ordered a beer, a grilled cheese (idk why, I was craving it at the moment) and onion rings. The grilled cheese was good but it's difficult to go wrong with a grilled cheese. The onion rings were good but only because they came with ranch. Yes people, this diner actually has ranch! That's normally unheard of in Munich... Our waiter was great. He told us he's originally from Texas. Super nice guy. A friend told us that a couple of players from Munich's football (American) team work here although we didn't get a chance to ask our waiter if he's on the team. So yea, this place was super fun! I definitely recommend.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to dine in this beautiful 150 year old restaurant. My review comes after its closure but it serves to honor the restaurant in hosting my visit. The Building is amazing where the walls and ceilings act as palettes for beautiful painted art. Stepping into the restaurant feel as if one is stepping through a time portal where one feels they are dining 151 years ago which is how old the building is. The ambiance is quite lively and energetic. Although the highlight is the space, the food is also very good. Their pretzels are served warm and fresh with a firm exterior and an interior that melts as it enters one's mouth. The soup is flavorful and healthy with not even a drop of oil pooling to the top. The schnitzel is as tender as it gets. The servers were knowledgeable and fast but it is always so busy that the restaurant should consider increasing staff as to improve customer service. Perfect location right in the heart of Marienplatz where the Glockenspiel is a stone's throw away. Overall, a wonderful restaurant to dine with great food and a beautifully historic setting!

The food was delicious, homemade, and so much comfort food. We ordered a sausage sampler, goulash, and spatzle, all of which I have no critique for. Just damn good food all around. The service was great. They were slammed so it was a little difficult getting the check, but not too bad still. All in all, I would highly recommend if you are looking for an authentic Bavarian experience and want to know how the Serfs lived back in the day.

Honestly, all of my reviews of EU have amazing service. The bruschetta was sooooo good. I could have had a few more servings of this. Honestly the highlight of the meal for me. I ordered the schnitzel, which I was soooo excited for. I mean so excited, however, it kind've fell flat. Sadly, and the crusted. well. Whatever it was, it was better than what I had by a long shot. Overall, it was a great experience, lots of fun, and maybe I had my hopes up too high for me.

Looks like everyone has too much money :-) We tried Trachtenvogel, Hungriges Herz and two more (forgot the names). No way - we would have had to wait an hour at each establishment. Cue Cafe Blue. I have been coming here since my college days. Just a short drive (or bus ride) up Lindwurmstrasse and suddenly you have room, yummy home-made jams (I love the banana), friendly service and nice decor. Looks like I am not a hipster... We enjoyed the Pinocchio breakfast and the other big one (which name I forgot) as well as two Weisswürste and two pretzels. Also several coffees and a bottle of water. 3 people were well fed and happy and we paid around €40. Win win win
