I hired this company for a septic repair at my home. The work itself was completed, and the workers were on site for less than 5 hours.
What concerned me was the billing. I was not given an estimate or pricing explanation before the work was done. Afterward, I received an invoice with a $3,500 labor charge and a separate $1,000 excavator fee, even though the company owns the equipment. When my family asked how the labor charge was calculated, we were given descriptions of the work performed but not an explanation of how the dollar amount was determined.
After several written requests for clarification, the excavator charge was partially reduced, but the company maintained that the overall charges were appropriate. We chose to settle rather than continue disputing the bill.
