David provided us service on my sprinklers that needed a lot of help, and changes. David patiently went through and fix, moved, or plugged every problem. Update ~ Our sprinklers are great and the yard has never look so good. About 30 days after the install the team came out for a checkup. Everyone was very proficient and friendly. I'd highly recommend Jones! Thank you Alex! After an email snafu Alex and I were able to connect and the quote has been secured. I am pleased with the bid and scope of work Alex recommended. Additionally, during the pre-inspection Alex shared insight on our existing sprinkler setup. It was clear he knows his stuff. Simply put...Jones Sprinklers is flat-out AWESOME! I have used them previously on a sprinkler repair, so when I had another issue, I knew exactly who to call. This job was a HORRENDOUS job. Luckily, they sent the same Technician, Todd, and I knew he would get the job done. Recently, our water district has been sending out angry letters to residents in my area about mandatory testing of back-flow preventers. Haven't heard a peep from them until just now and I've been here 15 yrs. It's totally ridiculous that somehow, residential sprinklers contribute to poor water quality, especially when we live right next to an industrial park and have coal trains going down the tracks every 2 minutes, but I digress. Our system was here when we bought the house, so I figured I would have it checked. Of course, it failed. Jones Sprinkler and Todd to the rescue!!! Todd was able to disassemble our antiquated back-flow preventer and install a new one. Now (hopefully), we can rest easy and tell the water district to shove it! I will no longer be recommending Jones Sprinklers. Taking care of my grandfather's house, I have been a repeat customer. Before he passed away, my grandfather was as well. Previously, we felt the service was excellent and told others so. However, my experiences with the company over the last couple of months have been poisonous. I contacted Jones Sprinklers the last week of April, in order to extend an existing sprinkler system to another part of the yard. I spoke with Christina the receptionist, explaining that I was hoping to get the work done quickly. She explained that it would likely be a few weeks, as it was the busy season and the crews were working on other jobs. I met with Scott on the 8th of May and received a bid three weeks later on May 30th for $566.57. Christina apologized for the delay and wrote that, "Scott is currently out with the stomach flu". I called soon after and spoke with Christina to schedule installation, per the bid. On June 21st, a different tech, David, arrived alone and an hour late. He did not begin installation, as agreed. Instead, he began to "reassess" the sprinkler system. I asked when they would be installing the system and was told something to the effect of "maybe the end of next week". Instead of the sprinkler system I agreed to purchase per the bid, I received a new "estimate" for $2,042.58. Where the previous bid included 4 tech hours, the new "estimate" suggested a quantity of 20 "LABOR-Helper" at $50 per what I assume are hours. A total of $1,000. There was also a note under additional specifications, "Additional services and parts not in bid. Estimated at $2,500. Estimate subject to change." I contacted Christina later in the day by email, explaining that I did not want to move forward with the new "estimate". She explained, "I completely understand. There were several other jobs bid similar to yours by Scott, and the installations resulted in subpar work. Earlier this week, Alex the owner, made the decision that we would need to re-evaluate all the bids he had done to ensure every customers satisfaction." She offered free winterization, which is something. I understand it is a busy time for Jones Sprinklers and I also know that I am not a lucrative corporate account, just a homeowner. I have been a repeat customer. My grandfather was as well before he died. Previously, our experiences with Alex the owner have all been positive. I have recommended this company to others. However, I contacted Jones Sprinklers about eight weeks ago asking for help. I received a bid from the company and agreed to pay. Jones Sprinklers did not honor their bid. Instead, when the time for installation came, I was presented with a dramatically increased "estimate" and an explanation that seems to blame a particular employee for multiple subpar installations. I do not think this is a decent way to treat loyal customers or a professional way to conduct business. read more

Really poor experience all around. I set up a service call to fix a broken Zone and to fix my sprinkler coverage in a home I just purchased. The lawn has many brown areas. First, the Jones technician arrived 1.5 hours late, which meant he arrived after I went to work. Second, after "finishing" at my house I received no phone call. There was no note. No text. I came home and the Broken Zone was still broken and sprinkler coverage was exactly the same. Worse, two of the sprinklers now won't go back down into the ground and one leaks water out of the bottom. I called that afternoon and was told the tech would call me back. No call. I waited the next day and finally called again and received a phone call back. I was told a solenoid was replaced and that sprinkler coverage was "fair" and that the only thing he could think of was replacing sprinkler heads. Then I was told he didn't know why my Broken Zone was broken. I got charged $127 for "work" that fixed absolutely nothing. I have exactly the same sprinkler coverage and still have a Broken Zone, along with damage to sprinkler heads that did not exist previously. Bottom line is this- if you charge Four Seasons prices, you should not get Econolodge. There's nothing wrong with Econolodge. But then don't charge 5 star prices. So let me just warn you that if you hire Jones Sprinklers, there's a good chance you'll end up with the same garbage experience I had. read more

Super friendly, super competent. Wife and I added some raised beds to an undeveloped patch of our back yard, with hopes that maybe this garden wouldn't turn into an apocalyptic wasteland. We called Jones for a bid and Alex came out. Highly professional, consultative, and intelligent -- he gave us a couple solutions and let us pick how to design the project. Also, the bid amount was right in line with our budget. When it came time for the work to get done, the crew that came out with Alex were hard-working, friendly, and patient (they had to teach me how to use the new sprinkler box). Christina in the office is awesome, too -- personable and efficient. One of the workmen placed the hose bibb a couple feet away from where my wife wanted it placed (he thought moving it would make life easier for us), and the neat thing is, when my wife called Christina, assuming that she'd get a call back from Alex about how to get the crew back out there, the workman himself called her back, talked everything through, and said he'd come back the very next day. Really professional, real classy. Anyway. Awesome guys; we're definitely going to use them in the future. read more

I have been using Jones Sprinklers since Alex started the business in 2009, and have been recommending his business that entire time. Expert services at a reasonable price. I've never had to wait long to schedule an appointment and technicians are on time. This is over many years of doing business with them. I don't know why some of these reviewers had such a bad experience, but I am definitely not one of them! read more

Jones Sprinkler staff are friendly but the did TERRIBLE work for me. in March of 2018 I hired them to put in an additional sprinkler line to cover my perennial garden. 1. They would not consider the solution I proposed and instead insisted their way was better. Fail. My mistake was letting them go ahead with the work. 2. Multiple visits were required to get the system to work at all. In brief, they installed spray heads in the back of the garden BEHIND THE TALLEST SHRUBS so that the water never reached plants in the middle or front of the bed. Fail. 3. 1 year in, I discovered that the pipe leading under the lawn back to the flower bed was buried only about 2.5 inches deep. This is a problem if you aerate or if you have dogs. 2.5 is not standard. When I called to have someone come out to assess, he was very nice but told me that couldn't be corrected. No reason given. Fail. 4. 2 years in, I cleared some plants away from the line in back and discovered that the pipes were not even buried at all. Just sitting on the surface. This is not standard. Fail. 5. Asked them to come out and assess. Again, they were as nice as they could be, but their only solution was to change the sprinkler heads. No response regarding the non-burial of the lines. This is NOT standard. Look it up. 6. Worked with their "improved" sprinkler heads for a couple of weeks. Worse not better. When the business owner came out to assess, he acted as if I don't know how to run my sprinkler system timer and offered to set it for me. Setting the timer is not the issue. The fact that this system was a FAIL from the word go is the issue. Not ever a solution. He maintains it is working. No offer of even a partial refund. I agreed to the high cost because I assumed there would be some difficult digging involved. Well, they just skipped that part. My advice, go buy yourself a soaker hose instead of being soaked by Jones Sprinkler. read more
