I have used Pacific Lawn Maintenance for 2 years now, but now have found that they are unable to meet basic requests. While the grass looks fine, they don't have the people to do anything else. Called for a sprinkler blow out, and they aren't scheduling any more, we are a 1-1/2 months out from when it would happen. It's because they don't have the people. We called them about weeding, "don't have the people". We asked about doing some landscaping "don't have the people". We asked last year about snow removal, we don't have the people. All the things they say they do on their website, they don't have people to actually do. I get not taking on new customer, but what about the loyalty to the ones you have? I guess my $500/mo will go to someone else. read more

I had used Pacific lawn maintenance years ago for some yard work...they were great! I told everyone about them and was very impressed..recent years I just used them for a sprinkler blowout which they now refer out to another business, which was fine..they let me know....for some reason this year they did not pass forward important information to new blowout business so they were unable to do thir job..I then called PLM to inquire..he was rude and would not help me..I told him I was concerned because snow was coming and my mother in law could not afford to fix pipes that burst..I asked if he could inquire he said no..very rude again..he just argued with me. I know I had paid PLM directly so I told him he could ar least inquire. Unfortunately I did not get his name but I know he handles established customers. I will not use them again. read more

I've been using this company for a few years now. They provide high quality service and are very attentive to requests and feedback. For example, I sent them pictures last evening via email about some things I was less than thrilled about (minor issues). I received an email this morning saying my they were taking $10 off my bill (I didn't request that) and the owner just called me to say he was sending someone to my property to handle it, today. Very frustrating company to work with. You can call for days and only get voice mail. Calls are not returned promptly, if returned at all. If this company wants to be a five star company, they need to jettison voice mail and have humans answer the phone during working hours. The reason they earned three of five stars is because their actual lawn service is done in a good, workmanlike manner. read more

Have to say was skeptical at first about expectations and results, however I saw results after the first application and I'm excited for the possibilities next spring. We had Pacific tend to the lawn and garden for months before we finally moved to our new home in Spokane. They did a great job. We are on a corner lot with a big front and back yard with numerous trees and bushes. All have been well cared for and the staff at PLC have gone to great lengths to familiarize us with the needs of our yard in the winter months. We own a rental property in Spokane and our tenants selected this lawn care service for bi-weekly lawn service. We've also been using them for sprinkler blowouts and the occasional yard clean up service. While their customer service is very responsive and friendly, there have been a few issues worth noting. We've had repeated issues with sprinkler heads getting lopped off during their service. The first time it happened our previous tenants were students who left the property vacant during the summer months while the sprinkler system was off. So I paid a rather steep price to have them replace them so that we could resume using the sprinkler system. Unfortunate the damage had already been done, and the result was a dead lawn and a weed takeover. I spent several weekends the following spring tilling, spreading new topsoil, and re-seeding the entire yard. The lawn came in really nice so that effort was worthwhile. However, the following summer the new tenants were also out of town for an extended period, although the automatic sprinklers were on so there shouldn't have been any issues. However, several of the sprinkler heads were damaged by the lawn crew but were never fixed (something PLM says they will cover when the damage is caused by their team) and I was never notified. The result was large swatches of lawn going unwatered during the hot summer months. In addition, the neighbor's tree had shed some very large branches in the rear of the yard, but I was not notified of this either. Instead of remedying the situation, the lawn crew simply mowed around it for 3 months. When the tenants finally moved back in and let me know, I arranged for PLM to remove the branches. I was quoted a price for this work, but was then ultimately invoiced for 20% more than the quote. They did resolve the pricing issue when contacted, but a less attentive landlord likely would have overpaid without even realizing it. I think they are a good company, but we have a smaller/older house and that seems to lead to a lower quality of service for some reason. read more

Numerous problems. I have asked them many times to schedule my service dates on Fridays when we are home. We need to put our dogs away. I was contacted by the general manager by email and told that we could have our service day on Fridays no problem. I kept getting scheduled on days other than Fridays. Had to call or email to reschedule numerous times. I honestly don't think they have ever just scheduled me a Friday. I have always had to change it. Last Friday I emailed them AGAIN during business hours and asked to reschedule my appointment so that I would be home. My appointment was not rescheduled and the service man came out and sprayed. I was not home. My dogs were able to go outside and be exposed to the weed spray before it could dry. I emailed them and asked to cancel future services and gave them the reason. No apology or concern was given. Just a bill and a generic sorry to see you go. Very poor customer service! read more

I seriously can't say enough about this company. Best, most attentive customer service you could imagine. The owner, Josh, personally came out to do our bid for landscaping cleanup, lawn care, bush/tree trimming, etc. He clearly knew what he was doing and made us feel instantly like we were in good hands. He was able to schedule members of his team to come out and complete the work in less than a week and he personally called to confirm all requested services the day before. Josh's crew (I forget the two gentlemen's names) were so attentive and knowledgeable. My yard was a wreck, but they patiently walked me through everything they intended to do. Went to work and came home to PERFECTION!! So incredibly happy with the results. BTW: After I got our initial quote from Josh, I called around. I actually called 17 different lawn care/landscaping companies in Spokane and Spokane Valley. None of them acted as if they even cared about getting my business. Similar pricing but most were either booked out 3 months (it's late August....so.... not sure what you'd intend to do for us in the winter...) or too busy to accept new customers. PSA: Don't waste your time calling any other companies in Spokane. Pacific Lawn Maintenance is hands down the best. We'll be sticking with them as long as we own this property. read more

I scheduled a pre emergent weed spray with Robin over the phone on 3-31-21. I set up a specific future date and time appointment with her. A few weeks later, I received a text stating the tech would be coming over the next day. I called and gently reminded Robin of the appointment date and the date they had me scheduled on was not the right date. I thought she corrected my appointment date. On the day before my appointment, I didn't receive a text for the appointment reminder so I called the office. I believe my scheduled appointment was not booked at all because she said I wasn't on the schedule. The G.M. called me and he said I would have to wait 6-7 hours the next day for the tech. He further explained, I should have scheduled the appointment for the first appointment of the day, if I didn't want to wait. By 4:00 the next day, the tech had not showed up.I had waited for the tech since 8:00 a.m. I called and spoke to the G.M. and he said the tech was on his way. The tech showed up after 5:00 p.m. When the tech showed up, he explained he had only been working there for 3 weeks. He must have used roundup instead of the pre emergent weed spray because when he over sprayed, the chemical killed my grass and to this day, months later, there are still some areas on my grass along the edge of the flower bed border that still has dead grass. It does not appear he used pre emergent weed spray at all. Grass that was in flower bed area is still dead too. The pre emergent weed spray is to prevent weeds from sprouting, not supposed to kill grass. I called and spoke to the owner about some of these issues but I was charged the full price. read more

Did an "ok" job on my shrub removal. I need to finish the job and burry the weed barrier, clean up the branches and leaves from the shrubs, and add some more rock to the flower beds. Overall, I can recommend Pacific Lawn for timeliness and schedule flexibility. They were also the ONLY landscaping company in the are that actually showed up to take on the job! Pacific Lawn Maintenance has poor customer service and opted this year to impose unfair requirements. I started with them in 2018 and only paid for the weekly mowing service. This year they require I take their expensive spray packages which I do not need and cannot afford. So...they have good paying customers for 4 years and drop them unexpectedly for a greedy business model. I only upped the review to 2-stars because mostly the actual work was okay but I would have to inspect it each week. They sometimes left gates open and would not cut the grass short enough. Personal contact to fix the problems was meet with bullying attitude. Would NOT recommend to anyone. read more

My initial consultation with Pacific Lawn Maintenance in the spring seemed like a great deal. They were easy to talk to and explained things well. Their sales team and management were approachable, communicated well and they seemed like a company I'd like to deal with that was local (and less expensive then Senske). I additionally paid for additional services outside of a weekly mowing to include periodic chemical sprays as well as I had them do a sprinkler inspection, and had their tech set the appropriate timing on my sprinkler system (that is a key point for later in this review). Note: Their sprinkler tech was also an excellent person to deal with, easy to speak to, explained things thoroughly, and was very knowledgeable about his job. So, fast forward a couple of months, I had them do a barking project... which they did fairly well. However, they had an experienced worker with a new guy. The "new" guy ended up vomiting in the middle of my street in front of the neighbors a couple of times. He said that he did that any time that he got hot. They also left a large pile of bark in my street (because they over-estimated the project). They didn't take the extra bark (about a yard) with them and promised they would come back to get it. They never did, so I ended up having to give some to neighbors, had some family pick some up, and brought the rest to the dump. This was labor/effort I wasn't expecting to spend on a project (and product) I paid for. There were also periodic problems with the quality of the lawn mowing two/three times. I addressed this with them, management came out, agreed that the service needed to be improved, etc. Again, management was receptive, communicated well, and was easy to deal with. I did have issues that I've never had in past years as well with the edges of my lawn being destroyed and dying, as well as areas that lost all of its grass and is just mud now (I'll have to reseed in spring). Management said that it's likely those areas were getting overwatered (see earlier sprinkler service comments). Fast forward again to yesterday: I received my monthly invoice. I noticed that they were still servicing me with lawn service the past two Mondays according to the invoice although temperatures/weather has ensured that grass hasn't grown at all within the past three weeks or so. I initially contacted them with an incorrect recollection on my part that there was actually still snow on the ground two Monday's ago. They presented me with before and after pictures of the lawn service which showed no snow. My memory of this weird snowfall apparently was off by a few days. Regardless, I didn't understand why my lawn was being continued to be serviced when there was no grass to cut. I found this to be extremely questionable in the business-ethics department. They refused to refund me for the services, as they were provided (as proofed by the before and after pictures showing no changes in the lawn length) and that "...as far as the growth of your lawn, we continue doing regular recurring services until 10/31 each year and wait for clients to reach out when it is time for them to end for the season." Side note: I also got double-billed once this year, which they refunded to my bank account. Anyway, as far as the last two mowing services, I find this extremely unethical if you ask my opinion. I would think that you would contact the client if you noted that work didn't need to be performed... apparently not the case with them. Anyway, I've canceled my service with them for the remainder of the year and will not be renewing with them for next year, nor be referring them at all to anyone. I would highly recommend looking for a different lawn care service if you don't mind a few dollars difference in price one way or the other. I would consider taking them to small claims court if it wasn't a complete waste of my time/effort. (I'm sure they would cite some service agreement I had with them anyway). read more

Reasonable prices, good and ethical owner and staff. Example: we have not had rain in nearly four weeks and we need to have our sprinkler system serviced. End result is that lawn is ugly, flat "hay" and we are on every-other-Wednesday mowing schedule. Lawn team came to the door this past Wednesday (7/19/17) and asked if they should mow and recommended against it, in the interest of saving both time and money. Our last gardener would have mowed raw dirt every 8-10 days with his capricious schedule . . . am impressed that staff and Josh (owner) are so considerate. read more
