I am very disappointed with this company and their lack of customer service. I made an appointment for may 15 and on that day no one had arrived by noon so I called to verify someone was still coming and the lady assured me someone would be here by 4:30 well no one showed nor did anyone call. now may 18 at 9:36am I get a call wanting to put me back on the schedule and she said my next available time was June 1st. ?? I feel they should come out the Monday following the missed appointment since I've already waited a couple of weeks for the may 15th appointment and as they know I have a very large yard that I now have to water with my portable sprinkler which takes a very long time. B and B came out and designed our entire system including drip lines, controller and even left a main line going to the back for a future system next spring in the backyard. Needed sprinkler repair on a system they installed. A split line off the shut-off valves and zones that would not shut off. Repairman had extreme difficulty soldering. Line was replaced and pressure checked. Found a leaking, cracked valve. They could not replace it on the first visit because they did not have the part with them. Wanted them to troubleshoot the entire system and check wiring. Did not do that. Flushed system. Stated all was ok. They would be back to replace valve. Came back 2 days later. Replaced main shut-off valve and regulator. System was leaking at replacement valve. Technician said that was normal. Checked system and said it was fine. Next day the system came on and we found 2 zones that would not shut off and corroded wiring. They came out a 3rd time. Supposedly repaired leaky valve and checked zone solenoids and told us all was ok. Two days later we found valve connection leaking and solenoids would not close. Two zones stayed on. Automatic would not shut. Had to do manual shut off. Contacted B&B for 4th visit. Wait time was 10 days. Decided to get a RainBird manual on-line and did my own troubleshooting myself with the help of a friend. Cleaned and repaired all wiring connections, resealed leaky valve and replaced solenoids. Ran the system through all stations and it works perfectly now. B&B needs to retrain their technicians and review troubleshooting procedures. If you own a system installed by B&B, download the manual yourself and do your own troubleshooting. Or if you cannot do this yourself, find a different a sprinkler repair firm that knows what they are doing. If they had done the job right on the first visit, my bill would be much smaller. read more

I had a garage fire last year and my controller for my sprinkler system had to be replaced. It was winter so I couldn't check the system afterward. When I finally went to turn on the system this year the controller seemed to work but none of the stations were putting out any water. I thought I had the water turned on properly, but my husband had always taken care of that but he passed away recently. I called B&B for help since they installed my system in 2000. They were very friendly and tried to walk me through all the steps in turning on my system over the phone. It seemed there was at least one valve that I couldn't find to turn on, so I wasn't getting any water. When we couldn't resolve it over the phone, they scheduled a technician to come out about 2 days later. He arrived when expected and was very friendly and knowledgable. He found, and then showed me, where the valve was that I missed when I tried to turn on the water to the system. Then he made sure I knew where the other valves were. After that, he programed my control box for me and tested all the zones to make sure that all the heads were working properly and that I was getting good coverage. If I were you, I would avoid this company like the plague. We used them for fifteen years to turn on/off our sprinklers and they seemed fine but they are no longer the company they used to be. This year, they have completely left us in the lurch. In early spring we called them as usual to come out for spring sprinkler turn-on and told them the help we needed (repair a line/leak); the dispatcher promised that the technician would come on a certain date and spend time with our issues. Three weeks later the technician came, spent some time, didn't solve anything, then said, "My time is up, I'll have to come back in 3 weeks." We grinned and bore this postponement but two days before the return appointment, even after I called to confirm with the technician that he was coming and he said "Yes, I've allotted a lot of time and I will fix the sprinkler," the B & B President/dispatcher cancelled our appointment. "He was wrong," the President said, "We can't allot the time, sorry." So, six weeks after they said they would come and work on our system we are stuck trying to find someone else (and everyone is over-booked already). When I pointed out to the President, Mike Jeffries, that they had been incompetent and deceptive every step of the way this year the excuse he made was that they were understaffed but the bottom line for us as customers is that between the dispatcher, technician, and owner, we just got excuses, postponements, and then, in the end, absolutely zero help.
