NOT PLEASED. NOT INFORMATIVE. I visited this optometrist today and was not pleased. This was my very first time visiting an optometrist. I told Dr. Tasha Jones this, and asked her to walk me through what she was doing and why. She said she would. Unfortunately, she didn't. She raced through the exam and didn't tell me what she was doing unless I stopped her and asked. She also didn't tell me at all about the eye drops that burned, and she didn't tell me that she'd be using a piece of equipment to press on my eye to determine pressure. I only found out because after she did that she said my pressure is fine. I asked, "How do you find out pressure?" She responded, "It touched your eye. Most people don't want to know we'll be touching their eyes." I specifically asked to be told what was happening! She didn't tell me. That is horrible. All she would have had to say was, "This drop numbs the eye, and this equipment lightly touches the eye to measure pressure." It's that simple. No big deal. But unfortunately, she felt she had to hide that from me. After the exam I asked what the results were. She responded with something vague like, "It's good. Your eyes are healthy." When I asked what my vision was I received another vague answer. I then asked, "If you had to write down a number, what would it be?" Finally, I got an answer. Very helpful and very professional. She addressed all my questions and concerns clearly and completely. She was great with my kids too. They actually enjoyed their visit. How one treats my children goes a long way with me. I highly recommend Dr. Jones. read more

I have been going to Dr. Tasha Jones for so many years I cannot count them. She is absolutely the best! She is very pleasant, helpful, explains everything in terms that we understand. Even from my first few visits with her, she remembers everything. Not just what is in my chart but also remembers my family and by name. I would not go to anyone else. You can't ask for a more knowledgeable, friendly, personable doctor. I would highly recommend her.She also has the best office staff. Very friendly and helpful. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND RUDE AND CONDESCENDING DOCTOR Called clinic to inquire about availability of appointment due to concern of symptoms. After explaining symptoms was told by scheduler to come in later that morning. Front desk staff were very friendly. However, things changed when Dr. Jones came into exam room. She was clearly agitated & very rude. There was no greeting. She entered the room saying "what is going on with you." I stated one pupil keeps getting larger than the other for several months, have had constant headache for over a week, going to bed & waking up with headache, light sensitivity, pressure behind one eye & it hurts to move eye. She barely listened & said there was not much she could do without a full exam. I asked if it would be beneficial to have pressure taken behind the one eye. It was obvious that annoyed her. She stated she could do minimal exam but it would not tell her anything. She said symptoms sounded like sinus problem or needing eye glasses. She then said I can do a quick exam & bill you for it but "I'm being brutally honest you have nothing more going on than a sinus issue or needing glasses." I do not have allergies. I have had sinus pressure & infections in the past & these symptoms were not the same. Stunned by her behavior, I was silent, she repeatedly said do you want the quick exam or not? I said no (who would want an agitated person examining their eyes!) so we proceeded to the front desk area. As she walked into the reception area she loudly said is my 10:30 appointment here yet? Dr. Jones then proceeded to look over the top of the front desk person & the scheduler kept staring at me...not sure if I had been talked about beforehand or if she was nervous from Dr. Jones behavior. The whole experience was very demeaning & uncomfortable. I did not make a follow-up appointment with her. As soon as I got to my car I called another optometrist clinic and they were very helpful. Told me with my symptoms I should schedule appointment with an opthamologist & gave me name of clinic. Called Yorkshire Eye Clinic & receptionist had me speak directly with opthamologist. He listened to symtoms & asked questions. Discussed scheduling an appointment & even gave me his cell phone number in case symptoms worsened. DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. TASHA JONES!!
