I had hoped to get some meat to take home because they are also a butcher shop, a carnicería, but due to problems with their display refrigerator not working they didn't have any meats for sale this day. They have a great hot sauce selection at each table ranging from mild to quite hot - El Yucateco is great! They're in a good location on Gee Street with adequate parking. Looks like outdoor dining is an option, too, at least maybe once it cools down a bit. Their menu is extensive, and they also serve breakfast so I will soon try that! Owner is friendly and greets you as you walk through the door as well as exit with your goods. Has a nice small biz feel in that way. They provide a large variety of shelf items, frozen, cooler and fresh foods. If you know what you're doing, you can walk out with $20 of food and feed the same as $120 worth of Takie Outie. They continue to add cookware, dinnerware, utensils and a few gift items (if you're not Asian and think chopsticks are a novelty item). In the end, it's here and I can shop it now versus waiting until the next time I drive to the east side of Memphis! Thus, it earns its #1 ranking in my book!

I left the previous birthday donut review and this just solidifies how amazing Sandy's is. They planned the menu and prepared everything before we arrived, with no help from me at all. They went the extra mile on decorations and setup. The display was beautiful and perfect. Every single person that came commented on how great the food was and how everything looked.
