I'm about to change that. Place is immaculate and equipment is absolutely top notch. Free weights are all Hammer Strength including 2 squat racks and a couple of smith machines. Urethane dumbbells from 5-125 pounds. Deadlift platforms. Long strip of turf that runs the length of the place. Torque m4 sled. About 15-20 Hoist machines as well as 5 or so Hammer strength machines. About 30 or so cardio machines including a pair of Assault rowers, assault bikes, and assault runners. Ellipticals and treadmills and some recumbent bikes and a pair of cable setups and kettlebells.....and a couple of stair machines. Whoever set this place up definitely knew what they were doing. As a former Waikoloa resident many years ago i usually have a fairly low expectation on something like this. I was pleasantly surprised when going here. They sell day and week and month passes for those of us visiting. Staff has been nothing but helpful and friendly. I would've listed more pics but I'm honestly not sure what this places policy is on taking pics these days. I posted this one where I could be absolutely sure no one was in it.

This is a bare bones gym with real weights and well loved equipment. This gym is really great for what it is. The miss at the front counter is nice and direct. (They take wiping down equipment very seriously.). Not a ton of cardio equipment (1 of each) but this is a small gym, maybe 3000 square feet +/-. Has sufficient dumbbells and free weights. Nice little mix of machines with a couple plate loaders thrown in. It's only 5 minutes or so from downtown. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hilo on holiday

This gym has showers that are actually in the building, and they provide mini towels and cleaning spray for members to use to wipe things down and help keep the place sanitary. Pieces of equipment are neither maintained nor repaired even with the amount of money he collects on a monthly basis. His "credentials" have been earned through regurgitation of information he doesn't embody nor exemplify himself and causes one to wonder. "Is this really a gym that I want to train at ?" More so befitting an exclusive 'club' (drama, gossip and low-vibrational energy abound) rather than an environment conducive or supportive to personal growth is stunning to say the least. The owner "Brian's" power trips are a reflection of his own insecurity of anything going against the grain. The irony of having a gym owner who cares less about each of his members than your typical corporate owned branch chain is agonizing.
