They truly care about all the kids and do everything they can to provide a safe and fun learning environment. One unique aspect of Horizon that is great for our kids, is that the students rotate on a set schedule to different theme classes every 30 min (themes include, computer class, Spanish, art, math, reading, etc.) with their teacher. So your child is guaranteed a diverse learning environment with lots of creative opportunities in lots of different areas. We LOVE Horizon! We definately recommend it to all families looking for a caring pre-K to 1st grade environment where their kids will learn to love learning.

There is a great emphasis on the arts and families are invited to enjoy stage productions several times a year. It is wonderful to see your kid perform on stage! We love the different classrooms including math, art, and computer. The kids have a full gym and take gross motor classes everyday which include everything from riding bikes to yoga! There is a beautiful outdoor playground complete with a tire swing and sandbox. Parents are very involved helping to create a wonderful tightly knit nurturing community. The entire staff truly loves the work they do and it shows! I would also recommend their speed and agility training as well for the kids. My only knock is the way you must purchase the lessons. It seems a little bit like a all or nothing scenario. I would definitely recommend them for kids that want to learn without feeling pressure.

My mom and I visited the Shoreline - Lake Forest Park Senior Center about a week ago to drop off…read moresome food supplies. The center has temporarily moved much of its classes and activity offerings to virtual formats due to COVID-19. It has also been collecting supplies/donations. The donations drop-off area is the entrance by the parking lot. Dropping off supplies was simple and straightforward and the workers we interacted with were friendly and clear. The parking lot is bordered by streets on two sides and easy to maneuver in to. Parking spaces for the Senior Center are well labeled and it is clear what areas are designated parking for this location. There are stair and ramp avenues to reach the front door with railings along the sides of both pathways.

The thrift store had many treasures and a display of halloween items for sale. Lunch was a bargain at 4.00 for my senior fathers and 6.00 for me. The menu varies throughout the week with coffee/tea and dessert included. Echo worked wonders on my fathers feet and he has a return appt in 6 weeks. She was wonderful and attentive. Her therapy dog Bella really made my dad feel calm as she sat like a perfect princess in his lap during his pedicure.

They are respectful and a great example and role model for my son. His self confidence and physical abilities have improved so much being here. Master Dalton encourages and engages with all ages including adults really well.
