Non-profit? They pay nothing for this stuff. I only took pictures of a few items, but so much more is way overpriced.

I'm not a thrift store aficionado by any stretch, so consider this a rather uninformed opinion, but honestly I can't give anything less than 5 stars to an organization that supports job training, provides affordable shopping options for folks, and helps keep used things out of landfills. Looking over the more well-informed reviews below, it appears that there have been some price bumps here, and while that naturally sucks, I find consolation in that the money is going to an excellent and vital cause, and it's still more affordable than retail. (And I would guess that the cost of the job training that Goodwill supports is going up, so price bumps are inevitable.) But again, me = uninformed, and I write this all from the relative luxury of someone who makes a living wage at a time when many people don't. Socioeconomic mumblings aside...my GF and I dropped in here the other day and found a great jigsaw puzzle in excellent condition, along with a bunch of candle holders and an odd little sculpture of a grimacing face that GF is going to turn into "found object" art. And we honestly had a ton of fun just looking at the tchotchkes on the shelves. Green tag items were 50% off so we got a great deal on our goodies. We stuck to the housewares and such; no forays into the clothing. The store was well-organized and maintained, and the few staff we interacted with were friendly. I'd definitely come back here and will happily donate items here too.

    Lots of books!

I used Yelp for location of nearest Goodwill. Middle of the day, Yelp said it was open. Lo and behold, it was closed.

They don't communicate with residents are even each other. They are constantly late for appointments if they even show up at all, they don't respond to phone calls, emails or requests. I was never informed of all the great programs, employment opportunities and classes they brag about online. If you are going to live in one of their units I would definitely suggest saving all of your rent receipts because they're constantly losing rent checks or not entering it into the computer. I was overcharged rent on three separate occasions and never credited back the amount I was owed in the computer so they tried to say that I owed rent from years prior, even when having a rent receipt from their office signed by them. They charge everyone for a mandatory "carpet cleaning" fee when they never clean the carpets or replace them. They constantly have you put different dates on paperwork when signing and they never get it right the first time. A lot of the management is very rude especially Janet rainwater. I've heard her tell people that they can go back to "living in their car" or "can be homeless again". They know that people living in housing hope units have nowhere else to go and they take advantage of that fact and abuse it. There is a rare few people working for them that do care but for the most part they're incompetent and to say management is a shit show is a great understatement.

They went above and beyond to help my family. I got certificates that were helpful with everyday life challenges, as a low income mother, among other helpful classes. We used to really like Bella's Voice and shopped there regularly after moving to Lynnwood in 2024…read more We have spent close to $3,000. That changed with one visit which occurred a month ago. Look at the photos for the condition of a rug they sold. At the Shoreline store, I purchased a rug that was tightly rolled and sealed with tape, so there was no way to inspect it at the store. When I got it home and opened it, it was in unacceptable condition: heavily stained, paint marks, and a strong cigarette odor. This is not an item that should have been on the sales floor. I brought it back within a week with the tag attached and receipt in hand. The manager Leonora did not start by looking at the condition. Instead, she went straight to finding reasons to deny the return. First saying there was no tag (there was), then saying they don't accept returns on "furniture." At no point did she engage with the actual issue. When I tried to show her why I was returning it, another employee inserted herself and escalated the interaction. I did raise my voice out of frustration (my voice carries) but I made no threats and was trying to explain a legitimate issue. Rather than hearing the concern or working toward a solution, the situation escalated quickly. The manager told me to leave or the police would be called for CRIMINALLY TRESSPASSING, and that is exactly what happened. Police were called over a return. I tried to de-escalate and offered reasonable solutions (exchange or completing my purchase), but the manager declined and stayed focused on denying the return and calling the police to have us removed for CRIMINAL TRESSPASSING! Even the responding officer looked at the rug and attempted to find an amicable resolution. My daughter, who was not involved in the interaction, was also threatened with trespass, which was upsetting and unnecessary. This should have been straightforward customer service: 1. The item was not in acceptable condition and the condition was against their own donation policy. 2. It was packaged in a way that prevented inspection 3. A reasonable review could have resolved it Instead, it escalated into a situation involving publicly funded law enforcement over a defective item. As a nonprofit serving the community, I would expect a greater emphasis on resolving issues directly rather than relying on public resources to shut down a legitimate concern. For a place called Bella's Voice, it was surprising how quickly the conversation was shut down. The executive director has chosen to ignore my formal complaint. Photos are attached so others can judge the condition for themselves.

I absolutely love thrifting and I'm mildly upset that I didn't find out about Bella's Voice sooner!…read moreIt is, without a doubt, my new go-to for second-hand goodies, especially because it's so close to me. I believe all proceeds also go to animal welfare, so this place is a win-win. Store & Selection: (5/5) Upon entering, it's definitely smaller than most thrift stores I've gone to, especially compared to big names like Value Village and Goodwill. Do not let that turn you off! The selection here is AMAZING and I love how the racks are organized by size and color. I think I've walked out with an armful of stuff each time I've gone. Service: (5/5) Everyone here is really nice and they make checking out very quick. Other notes: Not sure exactly how their discount system works and how often it changes, but all their stuff is tagged by color for a corresponding discount. This place is definitely cheaper than other thrift stores, which is great if you're in a pinch.
