After roughly 10 separate service visits over two seasons, they finally admitted the root cause: they had improperly sized and installed the wrong unit for our home. Although they acknowledged the mistake and agreed to replace it, months have gone by with zero progress while they allegedly wait on an insurance claim. Meanwhile, our home is sitting at nearly 80% relative humidity. The extreme moisture is now actively damaging our property--causing wooden doors and window frames to swell. This doesn't even account for the fact there are health considerations also at these levels. The complete lack of urgency to fix their own error has turned a bad situation into a total nightmare.

Jason was dispatched to fix AC, which was working 24/7 and was blowing room temp air. When he…read morearrived, he said he is not familiar with the system, as it has x3 exhaust pipes. I explained him that one pipe belongs to the water heater. Then, after running the diagnostics, the guy said AC works fine (72F is set on the thermostat and 79F inside the house), and its probable the refrigerant, I paid him the co-pay to fill 6 lb of the refrigerant, he only filled 1 lb, He reported the warranty program that he fixed the leak, and he said it should do it. Well, it didn't do it. I did the recall call on the following day. The Jason came back and said he has no idea why the AC doesn't cool the unit, but everything works fine. When I asked how come the temperature never goes below than 79F for the past three weeks, if all "works fine", he said probably ducts needs to be cleaned. I told him we had a guys coming last week after we started to have these issues and cleaned it. He said there can me bunch of the problems, but the warranty will cover non of it... I asked him to let the warranty program know that he can not diagnose the problem, so they can send someone else. He said nothing will be covered by the warranty, as there is no mechanical issue. On my repeated request to explain why there is a room temperature air comes from the register, he said he doesn't know. So, he submitted the report to the warranty program that the unit doesn't have any mechanical problem. As a result, the warranty program denied coverage of the repair. To sum up: Jason has a reach knowledge what is not covered by the warranty program, he lacks knowledge about the AC, he refuses to acknowledge his lack of knowledge to the warranty program , as a result, I have non-working AC, non-covered repair, and the need privately hire someone else to fix it. Got an appointment very quickly, and if it hadn't been for someone on my side interfering with progress by bringing the wrong keys etc, probably would have gotten the furnace fixed very quickly too. But here's the great thing: at every turn, Rexroad was on the phone explaining what's going on and where to go from there. When everything got fixed, I was expecting a massive bill because of at least two false trips to the property, but the charges were what I would expect for a typical in-and-out weekday repair at a reasonable rate. If I have another HVAC problem, I'll call Rexroad first.
