Let me tell you about my magical experience with JT Electric and Heating company. My AC dies in the middle of a heatwave, so they send over a tech who looks like he just graduated from YouTube tutorials. He tells me, "It's the capacitor." So I ask, "How much is that going to cost me?" and he casually drops $599 like he's offering me a bargain. At this point, I'm melting, so I say, "Fine, just fix it." He swaps out the capacitor... and surprise! The unit still doesn't work. Then he starts rambling something about "every liquid freezing at 32 degrees." I'm just sitting there thinking, "What in the middle-school science fair is this?" No diagnosis, no options--just blank stares. So, I decide, fine, let's go nuclear: I'll get a new unit. Then the owner steps in and says, "Great news! It'll only be $12,000, but you get a $2,000 discount because it's an energy-efficient unit!" I'm like, "Didn't you hear? Trump literally just killed that credit--how do you run an HVAC business and not know the laws that affect your own products?" Oh, BTW I checked capacitor prices... no more than $80! Long story short: stay far, far away unless you enjoy overpriced guesses and climate denial disguised as customer service. Worst experience working with this company. I hired them to diagnose my furnace that would occasionally blow cool air, they told me it'll be $80 to diagnose and if I showed them to fix the diagnosed issue that $80 would be credited towards the total bill. Well, they came and broke something within the furnace and told me I could not turn my heat back on until it was fixed. So I had no choice but to allow them to fix it, because one they claimed to know the issue and now im without heat until it's fixed. I had to put a $500 deposit down before they would cone back out which i did the same day they broke/diagnosed my furnace. One week later they come back with most of the parts not all and installed those to see if it'll get the furnace working. We'll it still didn't work, so they tell me the last part will for door make it work. Another week passes before that last part comes in and they come to install it. What do you know it still doesn't work, now the owner is on the phone with me becoming irate. Telling me I was informed that even with paying for the parts and diagnostic that my system still might not work. How he has better things to do other than to be having said conversation with me. How furnaces are like cars, you fix one thing and many more things can go wrong. He told me I was stuck with the parts they told me I needed in order to get my furnace running because they couldn't be returned and he can't do anything with them so its on me. So even though this company/ owner told me what the issue was and quoted me on the repair, I than pay for said repair just to be told its all my fault for not knowing he's a half ass electrician and might not know what he's talking about. Just beware if your looking for someone professional to do the job this is not the place. Unfortunately yelp doesn't allow me to give them what the deserve which is zero stars! read more
