What an incredible experience. Such a beautiful venue, loved the history and the wines. Our wine educator Maddie was wonderful, she was so poised, attentive and knowledgeable. Heading to Geyserville for lunch decided to make a detour and pick up a couple bottles at Jordan. Recently there for a tasting we wanted to bring home a Sauterne and champagne. We stopped in unannounced and were greeted warmly. Taylor was such a pleasure and she remembered my daughter & I from 2 years ago when she helped with our tasting. Not very often does a winery connect with visitors at that level. Says a lot about the culture here. Grabbed a couple glasses of champagne and walked the grounds to kill some time before our lunch reservation. Probably my favorite winery in the area. They are having a social hour on the terrace 3:15 to 5 Thursday thru Monday through the month of May. $10 a person waived if a glass of wine is purchased. Also small bites for purchase. While visiting Napa and Sonoma we decided to stop in Jordan! So glad we did! The experience included an olive oil tasting and they had some food pairings with the wine. We tasted 3 wines and were given a bit of a tour and history of this beautiful estate. The wine was wonderful and we took some home with us. Highly recommend! read more

Truly no other winery compares to Jordan, we visited for the first time this past April and we did the Taste of Jordan experience, everything was fantastic. From the staff, to the wine, to the food, everything was 10/5 stars. We ended up coming back in December for their Christmas party and it was so fun. The food was fantastic again, the staff is always so kind and helpful, and the wine pours are generous and delicious. We never leave without at least four new bottles to take home! Wow - what a beautiful and grand estate. This winery is absolutely a must visit as it presents a classic elegant French style combined to a magnificent estate. The Vista point is the highest point on the estate where some tastings can be organized. The climate is very similar to Tuscany. Jordan ages the wine in three vessels ( Oak for 3 to 4 months and stainless steel tanks). It takes two years to produce a Jordan Chardonnay. They enjoy a production of 900,000 liters approximately. When asked about 2020 fire disasters, Jordan did not loose a lot of wine due to the fact that the fire was mostly in Napa. The tasting was absolutely delightful with a beautiful setting with large wood table and some French inspired decorations. The service was impeccable with a series of small amuse- bouche and some delicious 2020 and 2018 Cabernet as well as a great Chardonnay. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous bringing you back to Tuscany. Olivia our host was also delightful. read more

Visited Jordan Vineyard on a recent weekend trip up to Sonoma, and while it was the priciest of our tastings, the value far outweighed the price ($75/pp). The setting was absolutely enchanting - like being in the French countryside. Their wines were crisp and delicious, starting with a non-buttery chardonnay, followed by a variety of cabernets that each tasted pleasantly different without a bland vintage in the bunch. The food that came with the tour was EXCEPTIONAL -- they paired the starting chardonnay with a cold broccoli soup shooter that I've been trying to recreate since the minute I got home, a bread and butter course I will think about for days, and finally a four-course set of "bites", all made from ingredients they grow on site. Our tour guide, Olivia, gave a lovely history of the vineyard, the local climate, and how they make the wines -- all aged for 2+ years in French Oak and concrete eggs -- while taking us through a series of rooms that made us feel like we were discovering secret parlors in a French castle. The owner, John Jordan, came in for part of the tour and while this may have been the effect of the wine, it was like going to Disneyland and having Walt Disney stop in to say hello. The entire experience was delightful and romantic, and we purchased many wines from their previous and their new winemaker, and are excited to come back and stay in one of their on-site chateaus for members of their Rewards club. I also appreciated that unlike most wineries that do fixed price memberships, Jordan lets you accrue points (and rather quickly!), and staying on the estate is as affordable as staying at any other mid-range hotel, while obviously being far more gorgeous. I cannot wait to come back and visit, and have immense gratitude to their entire staff, their kitchen team, and the winemakers who have created a wonderful homage to French wine culture in the heart of Healdsburg. read more

We did the 90 minute tour and tasting at Jordan and it was amazing. We first started with a short tour around the main buildings (yellow) then went into the cellars with the cement "egg" barrels. Then we moved into one of the dinning rooms and ended in the library with a secret door that led us to a private dinning area. Throughout the tour they paired the Chardonnay with a broccoli cream shooter with olive oil on top. In the middle of the tour one of the chefs brought us butter and bread with fresh persimmons and Asian pears. Lastly we tried 3 different cabs with, celery salad, pork belly, and potato salad. I liked that all the food was grown and prepared on the estate a true farm to table experience. This winery doesn't have a traditional membership system. They have a rewards program based of dollars spent its lifetime and 3 points per dollars. If you're doing the tour I would should up 10 minutes before as they start right one time. Jordan Winery -- one of the finest wineries in the Alexander Valley. We were given the opportunity to stay here at the winery for an evening. It was one of the most special experiences we have EVER had. It's such a beautiful property and we enjoyed every second of the experience. The wines here are first class -- everything is perfect. John Jordan has done an incredible job of building a world class winery to rival those in France. The staff here is golden -- everyone is so hospitable -- from the cooks to the servers to the management. It's just such a treat to come here and enjoy the fruits of the vineyard. My girlfriend and I live in SF and visit wine country on a regular basis. We've been to 10+ wineries in the past year or so, but this one is our favorite winery by far. It can often be difficult planning visits to wine country, since with all the hundreds of amazing wineries here, decision paralysis is very real. If you're thinking through different wineries and are considering Jordan, stop thinking about it--you absolutely must visit Jordan. I first discovered this winery since it was on Sonoma Mag's list of the top 5 most romantic wineries in Napa & Sonoma, and it 100% fits the bill. The winery is inspired by France, and it definitely feels like you've teleported to France once you set foot on the estate. When we arrived, our host explained that Jordan specializes in 3 things--chardonnay, cabernet, and hospitality. I thought it was a bit corny, but it's actually quite spot on. Most of the wineries I've visited had great hospitality, but Jordan is definitely on another tier in this department. They make you feel so welcome, and all the staff are very warm and knowledgeable. We did the Paris on the Terrace lunch, which I cannot recommend enough. The food is delicious and you can taste the freshness of the farm-to-table food. Everything is delicious and pairs beautifully with the wines they serve. The setting is gorgeous--French music plays around the grounds, and the tables have excellent views of the estate and the hills around. Our sommelier, Aristotle, was the best sommelier we've ever had, hands down, at any restaurant or winery. He explained things in full detail, answered all of our questions and more, has a wide breadth of knowledge, and was very friendly and welcoming. I tried to remember as many names as I could before leaving this review; unfortunately I forgot most, but the young, blonde woman who walked us from the entrance to our table and checked in on us throughout our experience was incredibly friendly and welcoming; the tall male server with Nike glasses explained every dish in beautiful detail and answered our many, many questions. And everyone else as well did a great job making our experience memorable. My parents are visiting in September for their anniversary, and I'm looking forward to taking them to Jordan for the annual harvest lunch, which I'm sure will be as great of an experience as the Paris on the Terrace lunch (if not better!). My girlfriend's moving out of the Bay Area shortly, but if she were staying, we'd probably come here every month, at least! But we'll definitely be coming back every time she's in town. read more

Very cute property and the host was very pleasant and informative. I do recommend doing the estate pairing. All of the food was delicious and I loved that I got the try some new foods. I know it changes but the mussel Cucumber cold soup was my favorite. Their chef is top notch and knows his food! The property is lovely. If I could rent a room here I would ha ha. Jordan has expanded the tasting experience to a broader level. When you do the estate tour, you're exposed to the full range of their 500 plus acre venue. Is it organic gardens where we got to taste fresh fruits and vegetables, had taste things during our trip up to the top, and then experience the full panoramic view from the top which is pretty stunning. Heather, our guy, was well versed in all aspects of the wine making and wine, as well as very knowledgeable about the estate and its surroundings as well as what it takes to make it run. We had a later afternoon wine tasting and it consisted of olive oil sipping, and a tasting of two wines: a Cabernet and a Chardonnay. And two crackers, a thimble full of lentils, and an eighth cup of a corn soup. For $55. The tastings were approx 2 oz apiece and there was a complimentary one oz pour of a 2018 Cabernet. What a rip. The 2018 cab was excellent, but overall a very sparse experience. Why our host(ess) couldn't offer a second tasting of a wine we enjoyed is beyond me. This is customarily done in almost all the wineries I've ever tasted at (100s). Of course we were given the requisite applications for wine club and shown where to purchase additional wine. No thank you. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

When you sit down for Christmas dinner with all those you love around you, what more could you possibly ask for? Absolutely nothing, but that a nice bottle of Jordan Cabernet is icing on the cake! I've long been a fan of Jordan Cabernets. Whenever I see it listed on a wine menu, I know I'm dining at a place with a sommelier that knows how to select wines. Of course, some vintages are better than others, (I'd personally be hesitant about 2017 due to the wildfires and the crazy heatwaves), but going with a Jordan is pretty close to coming the to "sure thing". The 2005 bottle is one that I'd been laying down for 10 years and had been excited to try. I wish I had decanted the bottle longer than I did, but we enjoyed ​it and would describe it overall as a solid medium-bodied wine. In retrospect, I would've purchased a case and maybe held it for another couple of years or so. However, I've long held the belief that life is short​ and that you should constantly "live your bucket list" (my Yelp and life motto) and not wait, no matter what your age. For me, this includes actively​ working through my small wine collection and enjoying it while I can. Celebrations like Christmas is the perfect time to do this, and I happily did. If you have an opportunity to make a stop at the Jordan winery, I'd say do it! It's not anything like those uber-popular​ Napa wineries frequented by non-stop busloads​ of loud tourists flocking in and out looking for a cheap buzz. Make an appointment for a tasting and you'll be welcomed by ​a beautiful vineyard and​ helpful staff. read more

So I wasn't expecting a group tour, but this is what it is. During the first part of the tour, we stood there for probably a good 30 minutes of the tour without any wine in hand. Having a glass of wine in hand makes all the difference. We were supposed to sit out in the vineyard but due to weather, we were sat in the dining room. Just lovely. Immaculate grounds pretty much all to your self... only two varieties, but when you do them that well, who needs varieties? These wines are for restaurants and collectors so you may not always find em at BevMo... which is why I think I like em. My first time, many many years ago at a SF restaurant institution, Stars. It was a business meeting and one of the clients was a member of the Knights of the Vine. So we assumed he knew is stuff. Back then like now, I'm not educated nor sophisticated when it comes to wine. It's take a sip and if it's not too dry or acidic, and goes down smooth I'm good to go. Regardless of price label or varietal. Well this night it was bottle after bottle after bottle...all I remember was it was Cabernet, smooth silky complex and satisfying. Out Knight apparently told us the story of the history of the wine. All I remember beyond the taste was Jordan, Cabernet, from Alexander Valley. Fast forward a couple of years an we found out we were preggers with #1 son. There were many nights of name trying... Cyrus was one of mine. But Bae wanted to at least use "J" in first name in honor of her dad Joseph, in keeping with Jewish tradition. So one name just rolled outta my pie Hole, and it stuck Jordan Alexander G! Boy or girl it worked! Girl Jordan Alexandria... get it? Many thought because I'm from Chicago, a Bulls fan, money it had to be for Michael Jordan. No Marrs... that would be way to over the top. As great as MJ was....sorry. The acid test for Bae... "Dr Jordan Alexander G" or "please welcome Supreme Court Justice The Honorable Jordan Alexander... " Mine was more like and now batting, #9 JAG, or tackle made by JAG. Either way it took actually a couple of years after JAG was born before the subliminal Suggestion was realized.... all stemming from that dinner at Stars. This occasion, Jordan flew out for his moms birthday. What better way to celebrate than with a semi private wine paring. Well the winery was stately, unpretentious, simple and elegant. The wines bold full of flavor... but smooth complex, sophisticated. We tried a couple of whites and they too surprised us. I've been to many winery's... always find 1-2 I like ok. But come! on they poured 2 whites and 3 cabs. Each distinct and I liked em all. That never happens to me! I don't know wine. As long as Jordan keeps bottling it however, I don't need to learn. I like what I like. Apparently a few thousand others s agree with me. I do remember what my Knight of the Vine said on our last hoist of the glass for the evening. "Good wine and good food make you happy. Great wine and great food make a happy memory." It certainly did! read more

I went on their winery tour experience which i loved because they took us thru the entire wine making process and told us the history of the winery. Even though it was raining, the winery was so beautiful. The person who took us on the tour was amazing and so well versed. The winery was a family owned business and they really are on to creating a lovely sustainable winery. The food pairing was the love of the business and the cheese and other foods were fantastic. The wine was excellent. Will definitely recommend and bring my friends there when they cone to visit me!! read more

We did the library tasting for 8 people. It was interesting to learn about wine along with different pairings to really see how they interact with each other. The 'secret' passage away through the book shelves really added to the experience. We were greeted with 4 types of cheese, mostarda, bread, crostini, peas, olive oil, and lamb. Out of the 4 cheeses, my favorite was the Shooting Star Creamery Aries (sheep's milk) followed by the Cypress Grove Lamb Chopper (sheep's milk). It was really cool to learn that the peas were grown on the grounds and how, overall, environmentally friendly Jordan Vineyards is. I believe the olive oil is also made there. It was kind of weird to be sharing the room with 2 other parties but thankfully they were friendly and also asked great questions. read more

My partner and I came to Jordan Winery this past weekend. We had the winery tour (although we would love to come back for the full vineyard tour!) and it was amazing. Our host (I think his name was Jason... ?) was great and very kind - he even gave us a small gift because we were celebrating a birthday. The descriptions he gave of the Jordan vineyard history, their wines, and the Jordan family were entertaining and really informative, we really enjoyed the tour. The grounds are beautiful too, and they had some lovely lights and decorations up inside for the Christmas season! They were also able to accommodate my partner's nut allergy in our pairings which is super important to us, and swapped out the one item with nuts in it for a good alternative. Everything was DELICIOUS (I was surprised how well some of the ingredients went together) and their wines were interesting and unique. I didn't take a picture before I started eating, but it was beautifully plated too. We bought two bottles of their wine to take home and are looking forward to opening them! read more

Year after year we have decided to do other wine tastings and put Jordan on the back burner for another time. This time, May 2024-we visited Jordan. What an amazing experience! The grounds are beautiful, the flowers are beyond stunning, every minute of our experience was so well worth it. Erin was our Host; and she was amazing and her knowledge is vast. The food and wine pairing was a definite hat's off to the Chef for the great bites and another hat's off to the winemaker for the delicious wines. Great experience. It was a terrible experience we had a birthday tasting and food pairing. If you want to taste wine don't come here. We were local and this is the worst winery I've been to in the 40+ years I've lived in Napa and Sonoma County. They take you on a tour starting with light food then in a van sit in a garden which would be amazing if you could add wine at any point but no not offered and almost a hostel attitude at why you would want wine at a winery. It seemed ridiculous and at the second stop they gave 2 wines great 3rd was zero stare at the vines take a class on horticulture doesn't matter if you want to or not. Finally at the 4th stop you get 2 more and a little more food. 4 wines total in 3-4 hours and it was like being trapped on a elementary school field trip with no escape and people who were out to ruin anything fun. Boo on you Jordan ruined my birthday and made drinking wine as horrible as a 3rd grade field trip. Didn't know it was possible! We were in a van nobody talked nobody was having any fun. Any other winery I've been to with social and group events is always an amazing social experience. Somehow everyone was quite and acted like they just ended a colonoscopy. Waste of money and not a fun experience!!! If you really want to try delicious wine and have a good experience go to Lancaster Roth stone street Bella vineyard or even better Zicharchini vineyard small batch amazing wine. Waste of time and money wine was 6-7/10 at best if you rated this winery highly it's because you are from Kansas and you don't understand how it works. Worst experience can't believe I'm writing a review except that it was so egregiously horrible I felt like I had to warn tourists being taken advantage of. I have only ever written one other review for a sushi restaurant with rotten fish and good job Jordan I felt a responsibility to warn the public on your horrible boring experience. This Winery was absolutely Stunning it has AMAZING Views we had a ringside seat... There were 3 in my Party we all did the Vinyard Tasting which lasts One and a half hours, we walked up a hill and they had Tables set up with Olive Oil,Nuts, Olives, Cheese, Salami,altho we ate before we came so we wouldn't be hungry. This Wineries grounds are Beautiful and we even met some friends there, The Tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about all of the Wines and the History of the Winery, We absolutely loved this experience and will be returning next year. read more

We did the Paris on the Terrace experience yesterday as a birthday celebration and it truly blew us away! This is well worth the price tag. The ambiance is incredible: soft music, beautiful trees, amazing property views, and the staff reposition your umbrellas the whole time to ensure you stay in the cool shade. The food & the wine were also incredible. We weren't sure what to expect from the food as we're not really "foodies" that eat farm to table often. But we all loved every dish. And every wine! I also appreciated that the wine pours were very generous (I'm talking 4+ full glasses of wine by the time the experience is over). Our waitress (Heather) was so awesome. Amazing Vineyard and Winery from when you first enter the estate. Wonderful property and the main house is simply quaint. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the Winery. We took a 3 hours tour which included light food and of course Jordan wine, which carries my wife and I favorite wines. We did a full vineyard tour which consisted of 6 people including the tour guide and the driver. We toured the estate, the barrel house, garden, private beautiful room on top of a hill overseeing the vineyard, lake and the remaining property. Tour guide was very informative and knew tons about the Vineyard, hence why she's a guide : ) With so many vineyards in Napa Valley I was glad to visit Jordan. My husband and I came here for the library tasting the day before thanksgiving and our last wine tasting of our trip and we were definitely underwhelmed. Compared to our others tastings during this trip it felt rushed and very commercial. The wines themselves unfortunately did not meet my palette's expectations. We did the $35/person library tasting. It did provide some interesting history of the winery but yet it was missing something. I can't put my finger on it if it was our host, the wine or our group but... nothing more than average for me. Nothing against the vineyard just off in my opinion. My husbands and I did get some great selfies with the colors of the leaves changing.
